My brand is not about making money. In fact, it receives no revenue and never will. Ever. Rather, my brand exists to help people find their way out of despair, pain and hopelessness. By a miracle, I’ve transformed my life from homelessness to abundant joy. My brand is intensely personal to me, as it’s all about the journey of my life. But I couldn’t name it. No matter how hard I tried, I came up with lame names again and again. It was so important to me to come up with something that honoured my story and captured the complexity of what I’ve gone through. It needed to be memorable and simple, yet profound and timeless. I have been self-searching for a business name for the past 2 months and every time I came up with one, it would have definitely been taken either as a domain name, business name or both.

Following the endless frustration, I did a random search and came across BrandsAreBoring. I gave it some thought of using this service and bit the bullet and went ahead. I must say, during the entire process, I was guided by a few close friends on how to put forward a suitable business description to branding agencies such as this one and I followed the lead. I also provided several resources for this service to cross-check business name availability and domain name availability and guess what?? I got a business name that just connected directly with me in the first go! I didn't need the use of additional names or review features.

To validate my choice, I went back to my friends and showed them all the names in confidence. All 5 connected with the name that I ultimately chose in separate instances. The name I chose is catchy, easy to remember, and connected with the business philosophy, All-in-all, the name had a soul attached to it.

Bravo!! BrandsAreBoring...YOU DELIVERED IT!! Although it may have taken a bit of extra time, hey, I felt it was worth every bit of the effort and every penny wisely-spent. I should have just used your services since day one :D, but, nevermind, I hope this review will help others to avoid what I was trying to do earlier did and just hit the ground up and running.

I struggled to come up with a name for my new business, it took me weeks of trying to find a good name but nothing clicked. So I decided to give the naming service of Brands are Boring a try. Happy I did! Finally some names that actually worked for me, should have done this much earlier.

Now I can move forward and start focussing on actual business.

UPDATE:
After a couple of weeks they got back to me and explained that due to some technical issues my order had been lost but that they eventually found it.

Being a marketer and having worked to connect multiple systems (carts, email automation, etc) I can totally understand. One system makes a core change and suddenly your whole system breaks and orders go missing. It's every marketers nightmare.

Once they got my order going everything went great. They got me a bunch of names and even threw in some extras for the delay. A lot of the names were really good and gave me some ideas for potential future names for two new businesses I'm starting/rebranding.

For what I paid (only a few hundred bucks) I'm happy with the results they gave me. Some of the other reviews seem to have unreasonable expectations but as long as you go into it understanding you're paying essentially "Fiverr" rates for a bunch of names that are above "Fiverr" quality you should be happy with you're results.

Previous Note:
They promised names delivered within 48 hours. It's been five days and nothing. No response to the status update request. Nothing.

We have not seen any value or an effort on their part and requested a refund once we understood it's a pure scam.

The communication is none existent so as their interest in your brand.

After purchase, I was expecting a detailed questionnaire from them to fully understand what we do and what the brand is all about or will be about in other cases. But nothing! How can you create a name for something without knowing and understanding what it is?

The names generated looked like they came from a random name generator with some notes added.

We also took up on their offer of additional 5 names as the initial round was extremely poor but more than a month has passed and nothing.

We requested a refund but are just ignoring all the communication.

So don't be fooled by a fancy front end and their success stories and stay away!

I spent over 15 hours trying to come up with a name for my business and realized that I needed to hire a professional! Great Service! I was struggling with finding a unique and compelling brand that meant something about our new company, and was a bit at wits end. This was partly due to the fact that it felt as though every Word Mark that I tried had already been registered.

Enter Brands are Boring! I found them on a web search and paid somewhere around 250 euro and they took the problem away and gave me over a dozen names, each of which had clearly had some thought input.

On the 25th June 2019 I purchased an offer for €253 where I will receive 14 handcrafted name ideas for my potential business within just 48 hours. I have received nothing to date. No response to my numerous emails both to Brands Are Boring and their sister company 'Frozen Lemons'. No response. Now I know my email address is correct as I have received an invoice for my payment. I cannot call as there is no telephone number on their websites.

My brand got a name thanks to BrandsareBoring , I loved the fact they took my note and worked on it , very satisfied with the results .

Had a great experience with Brands are Boring. We were unable to find a suitable name for our new project management app so went online to look for some help. We found Brands are Boring and placed an order, 40 hours later we received an email with some great brand name ideas (some really good, some less good). We ended up choosing between 3 names that suited the platform and picked the one everybody liked most. Our new company name is definitely well worth the money.

Finding the right name was always a problem.
