3 Complaints, No Progress

I made 3 complaints now, after they keep closing my complaints.

They promise to resolve every complaint within 8 weeks. But...

1. It has been more than 8 weeks since the first complaint
2. They have not resolved anything
3. They only called me once
4. I told them to email me, they did not
5. They keep marking them as solved, which they are not allowed to do without actually CONSULTING ME

Their WiFi speed promises are misleading.

Their WiFi speeds are unreliable and inconsistent.

Their customer service puts you on hold and takes hours to reach. I don't have time to be calling you all day, buddy.

Their customer service shrugs off your real concerns and try to sell you faster speeds. I already have a great speed PACKAGE, but where the hell is the speed?

Please stay away from BT if you don’t want trouble !!!!!!!!
I am contacted BT and told him I am leaving and my contract a same months finish in December.
Normal my bill 60£
After December they start to charge me £80
I am try to explain what’s happened and they still sending bills which I have to pay now £433
Please don’t take BT stay away

The most useless company

The most useless company. I have been paying £25 a month for the BT Sport package which I watch on my laptop through hdmi into the tv. Today I tried watching the Liverpool game and the web player was telling me "not available in your region". I tried from my phone, my partner's laptop etc etc to no avail. I even tried tethering from my phone to see if it was an issue with the WiFi network. No luck. Called their support and spoke to about 15 people over the course of about an hour. Spoke to a guy called Michael in Belfast who decided my issue was so complex he would just put me on hold for 15 minutes and not return. Spoke to a guy called Paul from Belfast who sounded like he was competent and knew what the issue was, he then said he would be back in five minutes but the next voice I heard was a very pleasant lady from the billing department. Again, couldn't resolve my issue. I was then transferred to Evie from Newcastle who despite having the best intentions to help me resolve the issue, couldn't do anything but read from a script to try and troubleshoot. I have spoken to that many people from various regions of the UK, I now have a detailed knowledge of the geographical operations of BT PLC. Totally and utterly incompetent. Every time I was transferred they didn't even bother to warm it up and I had to give my details every time. Totally fobbed off and I have now cancelled my account and I'm enjoying a lovely illegal stream on one of China's finest servers. I will never use anything that BT is remotely associated with ever again. Even if I find out my tea bag supplier uses a BT line, I will cancel them immediately.

trying to move BT to my new address

trying to move BT to my new address. been on hold for 45 minutes and got through to an advisor who said he needed to get me to another department. Without explaining anything, he put me back on hold and I am currently another 50 minutes waiting and still no sign of any help. Who has over an hour to wait on hold for such a simple task...

A tech company that have no clue how to manage customer service calls

Honestly BTs customer service is sho kingly awful - avoid at all costs.

Arranged for broadband to be set up at my grandparents. Everything was initially was going fine - the router arrived in the post and we were given an installation day.

After waiting in for the installation tech to arrive, we checked the site and found that our order had been cancelled.

Considering BT do landlines - we couldn't get through. After over an hour on hold the line suddenly cut.

I then attempted to talk to someone over live chat - in order to do this I had to go through to the wrong department. I just wanted to make some sense of the going on and was desperate to help my grandparents.

After speaking with dinesh and then manager ajay I got no further help. They were intact clueless and condescending. They said that the order had been cancelled by the suppliers - no further reason why. They couldn't say why the router arrived but no installation was able to be booked. They just said we could have to call customer service- whe I explained the problems with this They didn't seem to care.

Literally the worst customer service experience I've ever encountered.

I tried to use the website to rebook - however suddenly the address isn't recognised despite the neighbours addressing being available.

I would honestly look elsewhere. BT may as well stand for "Basically Trash"

12 hours on phone over 4 different…

12 hours on phone over 4 different days, speaking to 8 people in different departments, 4 that aren’t trained to help and 4 that will ring you back. To find I’m here so much worse off than before. All I want to do is install fibre what’s up with you people??

DO NOT GO WITH BT

FASTER MEANS NOTHING IF IT NEVER WORKS.

16 months ago i made the mistake of paying a premium for BT direct to premises fibre.
After disconnecting my previous provider, i was then told by the engineer that they could then not connect me to the BT fibre as there wasn't any on my street, despite being sold that package.

I was finally connected six weeks later, during which time i had no internet.

Since then, my fibre has been cut, literally, four times by Openreach engineers each time they connect another house on my street.

Apparently, my fibre is at the top of the box and every time somebody new on the street gets fibre, mine gets broken when they open the box. Why this is the case is beyond me or any of the engineers who have been out to "fix" it. The problem is still occurring.

My fibre went out yet again yesterday, (for the third time during lock down, whilst I'm trying to home school three kids and work from home) so i went down to the exchange where i knew i would find an engineer, who told me that through he'd broken it, he couldn't fix it. So far, both the engineer that broke it and the one that came out to fix it, have failed to fix it.

The dongle that i have previously been sent does not work in my house as i get no signal.

Having spent three hours on the phone to 12 different people at BT over the last two days, i have been told that they won't activate my copper line temporarily whilst they fix the fibre (usually takes at least two weeks). I just have to do without internet whilst working from home and home schooling.

I pay over £50 a month for this privilege.

I genuinely wish i'd just stayed on regular broadband.
I'm not going to call again. I give up. You win.

Disgraceful customer service

Disgraceful customer service! Been on the phone for over an hour just for "advisors' to hang up!! It seems like you need to give your people proper training as they are not able to provide the right answers and keep transferring around to different departments!!

No respect for the disadvantaged

Hi, I'm not an actually a customer of bt broadband purely based on previous customers to stay away.
Although I feel I need to write a review. A few days ago my sister who is physically and mentally disabled but who tries to live an independent life with some help, purchased bt broadband for internet access. A while later bt then offered her a sports package on top. She accepted although no real need for it, she loves the novelty of having it really and bt happy to take her money. Weeks later internet crashed, with nothing but problems. So she decided after a few days of trying, to call by for assistance and help. Low and behold, bt employee just put the phone down within seconds , no assistance, no help, no manners, no respect for the disadvantaged leaving her in distress. Absolute disgrace. Yeh but they're happy still taking her money though. Stay away people, just in case you need help from these corporate crocodiles.

Ten years of reliability...

Ten years of reliability.... We have just moved from a beautiful house and one of the main reasons was the fact that whenever there was an illness, a death in the family or even as we were just trying to coordinate the sale and move we could rely on BT broadband ......
TO LET US DOWN.....It was uncanny..as though they knew exactly when we were at our most exposed...
...BT ARE AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE...

Absolutely terrible service

Absolutely terrible service, broken E2E process and the worst customer journey experienced. COVID is not an excuse for a company of your size. The last time I use BT, complaint raised almost a month ago and no response.

Usd BT at your peril!

I was grossly mislead by a guy in the BT sales team into signing up for BT basic. After he had told me to ignore the legal statement they have to read out I was put through to their billing team. After I discovered that I had been mis-sold the product I cancelled straight away. However BT still contacted my bank and set up a standing order. I was forced to stop it with my bank. BT are still pestering me via email three and four times a day. I just called BT who still have all my details recorded and she then decided to call me Chris despite her having my correct personal details and clearly Chris not being my name. BT are a grossly unprofessional company and fraud seems endemic throughout.

They are literally the worst company…

They are literally the worst company ever. I have been stung twice by BT. But the last time really takes the biscuits. They've taken £429 out of my bank for a cancellation that apparently they had not cancelled. I am a Single parent, struggle as it is then they take money and say their isn't anything they can do to help. Awful customer service. You're always on hold for hours.. hate this company! I will never go with them again and advise everyone not to either

No broadband for over 4 months

No broadband for over 4 months, still waiting for the installation.... After ensuring a smooth internet transition when moving houses I am still waiting to get internet at home forcing us to go into work during a pandemic. I live in Central London - how hard can it be to send a technician? BT doesnt follow up unless you call them and wait 1h on the line and the call is typically useless to say the least. It all starts to sound like a bunch of non sense which demonstrate that they either dont have a clue on how they operate or dont care about their customers. Thanks BT for wasting my time, we all need to work these days.
