I have to say after speaking with carp co the issue was resolved and they where very helpful just goes to show sometimes its better to wait before leaving a bad review

I only ordered four little shubunkins as I wanted to build up my fish stock very gradually after a bit of pond neglect for several years (now rectified with a fantastic new aeration and filtration system) but what cheeky and incredibly healthy little fish they were! The quality is superb, and although I worried a bit about a courier delivery, it went like clockwork, and the little fish were perfectly packaged, unstressed and eager to feed within 30 minutes of joining my pond. I already had four 12 inch 20 year old + tench - two greens and two golden (gorgeous fish- my favourite UK native species by far, and I note that CarpCo sell this species too). The tench came over to say hello with the usual implacable expressions on their faces that tench seem to have perfected, and now the little shubunkins have new best friends (yes, fish socialise - science might tell you they don’t, but after 50 years of fish keeping I can assure you they do!). Fantastic service from CarpCo. My ONLY regret is that I wish my well established pond was bigger and could accommodate more specimens. If it could, I would not hesitate to source them from CarpCo. Recommended without reservation.

I ordered another batch of fish along with the much vaunted Goop. The fish arrived fine, as usual, well packed etc, some of the fish were a little on the small size, however some were fairly big so I suppose balanced out. Unfortunately, I was intrigued by Goop, the beneficial bacteria that was able to instantly cycle filtration. I selected the 500g option that stated that it would do up to 1000 gallons, and since my quarantine tank is 600 gallons thought it would easily do the job. HOWEVER, it also says less prominently that 500g of Goop only does 500g of fish! Nowhere on the website does it state even the average weight of any fish so I am at a loss how someone is supposed to work out the total weight of the fish if it is that vital. My water quality started to degrade showing signs of NH3 & NO2 and fish started to die. I contacted them and they said I had not bought adequate Goop! I reluctantly purchased more, however water quality got worse with another fatality. When I was told I needed more & that Jack would call me the next morning to work out what I needed and place the order for next day delivery, he did not call I got in touch and was told he was "too busy" but would call in the afternoon or the next day. I guessed the amount of additional Goop required and when it arrived was unsure what the correct procedures were regarding water changes feeding etc; Jack NEVER called back and after I sent some emails defensively responded. I am an experienced pond keep of some years and, on this occasion found the support very much lacking, and as for Goop I would say it is too expensive as I had to spend £75 for £300 of fish without great results. I conducted several large water changes and feel that it is that, that saved my fish and remain hopeful that at some point Goop will do its job. I cannot recommend Goop and feel you cannot rely on Carpco to render aid & support when you need it.

I couldn’t source sticklebacks locally so found Carpco online. I was dubious about having live fish delivered but am so pleased I did. Excellent communication & delivered on specified day within time slot. Fish healthy & are doing well in my pond.

First if all it was a very unusually hot day for April this year. A cockup with delivery said had been delivered but hadn't finally got through to CarpCo said they'd find out what had happened as not delivered. After several calls to them with nothing happening tried the courier. Anyway finally arrived on opening the box there was hardly any water in the bag tge two mirror carp had to lie down as not enough water to cover them 30 fish of various types all in one bag struggling to survive in very little water they were damaged and must have been so stressed. One by one they have died with fungus or open sores. I have bought from this company twice before with perfect service and fish but I WILL NEVER USE AGAIN! 7 days is not long enough for a complaint. All my original fish are fine. Water tests all perfect. To watch these poor fish die one by one has been soul destroying. Treatment has not worked. Seriously consider using another supplier.

Once again, I ordered from The Carp Co’s pond fancy goldfish stock, and I’m really pleased. Live fish always carry some risk during transport, but The Carp Co provide clear guidance to support a smooth and safe integration into their new home — including details about acclimation and quarantine periods.

This time, I requested a mix of Oranda and Ryukin, focusing on strong, healthy fish with good form rather than specific colouration (though I did include a few preferences). From my initial shipment, I sadly lost two of the twelve fish, but after contacting the team, they were incredibly supportive and replaced them without hesitation.

Both Natalie and Beth from the customer team have been meticulously helpful throughout — quick to respond, understanding, and clearly passionate about their fish.

I’ve kept goldfish for years, and I can honestly say the stock I’ve received includes some solid, high-quality gems — fish with real character and promise.

Positives- Liked quick delivery majority of fish ok

Negatives for me - extra fish sent with ammonia burns, why would I want an extra ill fish?

Overall, sorry guys would never use you again now, ammonia burns suggest poor upkeep of fish, anyone reading this, DC and PF aquatics offer better quality fish, I only used these due to needing the fish quickly

Second order and absolutely delighted.
My first order was for some Shubunkins, they arrived in perfect condition and settled right in with my other fish. Over the last month they have gained weight nicely and have even started to show signs of spawning. I paced another order this week for 13 red goldfish 12-15cm. This time I was even more blown away be the quality. Very good sizes and nice and plump, great colour and condition.
It’s always a worry when purchasing new fish as to whether they will survive with the stress of transport and homing but I have never had a single Carp Co fish die or show signs of stress. I could not recommend this company more highly.
