Cars Iceland Reviews

Good experience, both in the pick up and drop.
I would repeat with this company.

Good value local rental firm that really knows Iceland, provides excellent information about driving there, has efficient and friendly service and a fleet of cars that are well-suited to the task. Have already recommended to friends.

Everything with our rental car went wonderful. The company was very professional and all went well.

L'Auto era a posto ed adatta all'Isola. Abbiamo avuto un problema con un pneumatico e ci hanno cambiato tutti e 4 i pneumatici senza dover anticipare nulla.

Last summer (2025), we rented a car through Cars Iceland for a week-long road trip, as we were traveling from Europe to the United States and wanted to explore Iceland in a flexible way. The entire experience was excellent from start to finish.

The team provided very clear and helpful information before our arrival, including detailed instructions on how to reach their location and what to expect during pick-up. They also took the time to explain the best rental options for our trip, which made us feel confident and well prepared.

The car was in great condition and perfect for Icelandic roads. Everything was smooth, professional, and stress-free, which allowed us to fully enjoy our road trips and focus on the experience rather than logistics.

I would absolutely rent from them again and strongly recommend them to anyone planning a trip to Iceland.

We rented a Toyota Land Cruiser from Cars Iceland during our trip to Iceland, picking it up in Reykjavík and conveniently dropping it off at Keflavík International Airport at the end of our journey. The entire experience was outstanding from start to finish.

The Land Cruiser was a superb vehicle — powerful, comfortable, and perfectly suited for Iceland’s diverse road conditions. Whether driving through the city, cruising along the Ring Road, or exploring more remote areas, the car handled everything with ease and gave us complete confidence throughout the trip.

The service was equally impressive. The team was professional, friendly, and efficient both at pick-up and drop-off. Everything was clearly explained, and the process was smooth and hassle-free. It was evident that customer satisfaction is a real priority for them.

We highly recommend Cars Iceland to anyone visiting Iceland and looking for a reliable vehicle and top-quality service. Choosing a Toyota from Toyota — especially the Land Cruiser — made our adventure even more enjoyable. We would definitely rent from them again!

The information and billing was clear and the staff were very helpful.

Todo funcionó perfecto. La recogida, la devolución y el funcionamiento del vehículo.

I had a great experience with Cars Iceland! Booking was easy and affordable, and my car was ready to go right when I arrived in Iceland. Having a car really improved my whole trip because I was able to travel at my own pace and access more areas than would be included in a group tour. I drove the Golden Circle route and along the south coast. I had such a beautiful trip and it would not have been possible without Cars Iceland!

Alquilamos durante una semana, hicimos 1500 km y ningún problema

I had a great experience with Valora Cars Iceland from start to finish. The booking process was straightforward, communication was clear, and everything was well organised on arrival. The car was clean, in very good condition, and exactly as described.
The staff were friendly, professional, and very helpful, which made the whole rental process stress-free. Pick-up and drop-off were quick and efficient. Overall, fantastic service and great value for money.
I would definitely recommend Valora Cars Iceland and would happily use them again in the future.

Fue todo muy rápido y sencillo! Me surgieron dudas luego del proceso de reserva y las chicas de antecion al cliente me contestaron super rapido.
El pick up del coche fue tambien muy facil de hacer, sin filas.
Repetiria la experiencia.

Company is very customer focused answering all my requests extremely fast. I would say that in current days they are a rare example of companies that really care about customers, a company where you talk to real people and not to call centers or artificial voices or answering systems.

I’m completely satisfied with Cars Iceland! The whole experience was great — from the messages we exchanged before booking to clarify a few questions, to the booking itself, and then the pickup, the trip, and returning the cars. Everything went smoothly.

I booked two Toyota Land Cruiser 4x4s because we planned to drive on some unpaved roads, and the cars did their job perfectly. I also booked another car, a Toyota RAV4 SUV, for the days we’d spend in the capital and nearby areas. It was great that the third car turned out to be, at no extra cost over the RAV4, another Toyota Land Cruiser — even better equipped than the first two. That made it really comfortable to carry all the luggage for the five of us visiting Iceland.

The experience with Cars Iceland was fantastic — I definitely recommend them!

I picked up the car in Reykjavik and dropped it off at the airport which was very convenient. The staff were excellent and I was lucky to receive a brand new car with less than 100 km on the odometer.

Very easy to set up and arrange for the pick up and drop off. Lovely employees.

Waaaay better than Sixt and Hertz, which I usually use when travelling and get confronted with surprise insurance charges at checkin (all big rental companies) or bogus damages claims (Sixt). Not with Cars Iceland. Great support too (they challenged an overzealous parking attendants ticket and got it refunded). Buy local!

Great service !
Easy pick up and drop off, no issues with car, helpful staff and quick responses
Highly recommend!

I have been hiring cars while holidaying for the best part of 30 years.
The pick-up and drop off experience with CarsIceland was quick, seamless and problem free. Probably the best car hire that I have ever experienced that includes Europe, North America and Asia.

Everything went fine. Pickup and delivery of the car.
No surprises. Very supportive employees. Fast procedures.
