We purchased a pair of Nike $250 shoes

We purchased a pair of Nike shoes for $250, expecting quality and durability. Unfortunately, the glue started to fail just ten days after purchase.

When I contacted the store to request an exchange, I was told the shoes would need to be mailed to their warehouse so they could determine who was at fault. When I asked for clarification, I was told, “Well, you may have worn them wrong. For example, a running shoe is not meant for basketball.” I was shocked by this response.

These were expensive shoes, worn only briefly and for their intended purpose. I paid for quality, and the product failed. Because of this policy—and the delay in verifying whether the defect was “valid”—my child had to go without shoes for school. That’s simply unacceptable.

To be fair, the in-store staff were friendly and kind. Most genuinely wanted to help but claimed the return policy left them powerless. I can’t imagine how frustrating it must be to represent a company that offers no room for reasonable, case-by-case problem-solving.

This experience has left me with low trust in both the product and the brand’s customer service process. Overall, it was incredibly disappointing.

As a result of their faulty policy and us having to mail the shoes back for validation of defectiveness- my child had to go without shoes for school. Absurd!

Absolutely worst customer service

Absolutely worst customer service! Ordered two pairs of men's tennis shoes both in size 13. One was correct and one was not. Filled out return form requesting replacement with the item we actually ordered. Got return slip quickly and we sent the wrong pair back. Two weeks later got confirmation return was received. Waited for new shoes and to weeks later called for status. Rep could barely speak English, however, let me know i must allow 2 more weeks for shoes to be shipped. Four weeks later nothing still. Called again and was advised I was supposed to send both pairs back and resubmit request. Why???? After being on/off hold for 50 minutes (my entire lunch hour and then some) i asked for a supervisor since the rep again could not speak or understand much English. After 15 plus minutes finally spoke with someone that was able to tell me that the return was never submitted to send a new pair. HOW? I filled the form out completely. The area that processed the form didn't complete the request apparently! New shoes were finally shipped and in correct size. Took well over 8 weeks to get what we originally ordered. Horrible service!!!

Please read before you join

Please read before you or you send and of your children, to champs, for any kind of training. Caught on video surveillance, an employee/ trainer . Almost running over 3 individuals with motor vehicle. Then in a fit of rage , confronting there individuals wanting to fight them. The lack of respect for the martial arts. And what it stands for, is so disrespectful. Do you really want your children learning from here. One of the individuals involved, was a 18yr young man. This individual wanted to fight, bullied and intimidated. Choose wisely, many more schools in Barrie. I know I'll be spreading the word about champs and there employees.

Ordered my kid for his birthday a pair of Nike Air Max tn, impossible to find his sz in Calgary so ordered from Ontario Champs. Well Fed Ex just dropped off and he received a cheap pair of new balances wrong order number wrong name attached. Seriously. Called customer service and got it is what it is attitude with a sorry for the inconvenience. The SZ is no longer available. So shocked.
Never will spend another dime at this store go pound sand!

Fraud

I did not purchase an item from Champs Sports. Someone named Zwlinll Mekus at address 212 Monterey pass RD STE B, MONTEREY PARK, CA 91754-2407 did, and used my email address for the purchase. So, I received an email from Champs Sports updating me on when I would receive my shipment. I spent about 4 hours on the phone yesterday with customer service, billing, etc., of Champs Sports trying to get this sorted out that the person who purchased these shoes was also probably paying with a stolen Apple pay account (I do not have Apple Pay), and their name, Swlinll Mekus is obviously not even remotely close to my gmail name.
I Googled the address and it is a warehouse. I advised Customer service as well as billing, when I finally got connected to them, and I was still shut down. So…Champs Sports doesn’t care if it is fraud, as long as they get money from somewhere. What a horrible way to run a business. They suck eggs.

Product sent with security tags, cant remove, they refuse to refund. BE CAREFUL.

I purchased swim shorts from Champs, but they arrived with the security tags still attached. Since I was travelling, I didn’t get a chance to open the package straight away. When I finally did, I discovered their mistake.

When I contacted customer service, they refused to refund or assist me because I had not reported the issue within 45 days. My order was only 60 days old (just two months), and they wouldn’t make an exception—even though it was clearly their error.

What a joke. This shows a complete lack of quality control in their dispatch process. Be sure to check your items as soon as they arrive because Champs won’t take responsibility for their mistakes.

When I asked if they could make an exception for better customer service, they flatly refused and said there was nothing they could do. Truly disappointing experience.

Bad experience - time consuming, possible fraudulent practices

Terrible experience: ordered shoes on sale and in stock. The charge went through under "Foot Locker" on my CC but was immediately cancelled by Champs. I then called them to discuss the reason. They claimed my payment was rejected, most likely on the bank's end, they said. Called my bank and they verified that the payment was both approved and processed in full with no sign of a pending refund. Called Champs back and was given the same inexplicable reasoning. Now I have to keep an eye on my CC to ensure the charges are reversed within 5 – 7 business days. Meanwhile we wanted the shoes but can't stomach going through this again. Lose, lose. Terrible service! (1+ hours of my time just to try and sort this out.)

I ordered a pair of crocs.
They shipped next day.
They arrived when they said it would.
They are the size I ordered.
I will say, it says they were shipped to me from a footlocker. So I’m unsure if that has any bearing on my experience, but I’m so grateful that I had a good experience….this time at least.

Champs my a$$....not Champs at anything

The only reason I even put one star is because they won't let you write a review without rating them...I just placed an order online and they canceled my order and already had my money on hold in seconds, but tell me that I'll have to wait 7 days to get my money back....CROOKS, COMPLETELY..... I'LL NEVER SPEND ANOTHER PENNY WITH CHAMPS SPORTS......HIBBET SPORTS HERE WE COME.....WHERE U GET TREATED RIGHT!!!!!!

Scammers -they will lose your order and refuse to refund you

I placed an order on December 4 and they charged me right away. The next day it said it was shipping. I I kept checking for shipping updates but it kept saying that the shipping carrier hadnt picked up my package yet so i thought it was just Christmas backlog. It's now Jan 10 and it's been over a month since it shouldve shipped. I was out of the country in December travelling so i couldnt follow up on this until today. I called a month later to inquire and they said the order was lost but because it's been over 30 days they wont refund me. How am i supposed to know the order was lost???? I got 0 updates. I also contacted their live chat twice and got no response. Never buy from a store with such poor customer service that is obviously hoping customers dont inquire so they can scam you out of your money. Do a credit card chargeback if this happens to you!

I placed three orders with these people one they said it was out of stock. I understood that so I placed two more orders with these people for tennis shoes. They took my money out my account made my money. Sit on my account pending for five days and have not went back to my account yet I placed another order with a customer service and my order they canceled the order while we was on the phone, but they took my money out of my account

I bought a hat back in November

I bought a hat back in November for Christmas. I wrapped it. On Christmas it was unwtapped with the security tag left on it. I called and didnt want a refund just the security tag tajen off and returned to me. I have proof of purchase. I was told sorry past deadline to return. Again i dont want a refund just to be able to wear my hat. Even the Supervisor wouldnt budge. Absolutely insane!
