I cannot recommend Christopher Cattell enough, he has been absolutely fantastic throughout the entire process. We had a lengthy challenge with a previous broker who was unable to help us to secure a mortgage on a tricky property and months were going by. We contacted Christopher and with his industry knowledge and pragmatism he secured us a mortgage at a better rate, all within 5 days from our initial conversation with him to getting the mortgage offer. He helped us stay calm and positive during an extremely stressful time and we cannot thank him enough. I had been let down by my mortgage broker and was in a spot. My mortgage was tricky and not straightforward. In addition I was running out of time. I contact John Charcol and was put in contact with broker Mike Ritchie. From the off Mike was brilliant, understood the limitations and worked thoroughly and dutifully to get the deal we wanted. Additionally he gave great advice all the way through, communication was excellent. I hadn’t heard of John Charcol before and had been searching online desperately for a company with pedigree and good reviews. Honestly, I couldn’t be happier, John Charcol and broker Mike Ritchie were brilliant. I recommend them. (And I never leave recommendations!)

Alvin was excellent. He is knowledgeable, very thorough and showed initiative. Adverse entries had been wrongly added to my credit report without my knowledge after I moved house. I was very concerned but Alvin advised me and put my mind at rest. I had the entries removed and, in the meantime, Alvin found a good mortgage. Fiona was also very helpful. I thought John Charcol's fee was high, but it was worth it. I have no hesitation in recommending Alvin.
