BRIDES BEWARE COCOMELODY RETURN POLICY & CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE

I’m sharing my experience with Cocomelody because wedding planning should be a joyful time, and no bride should have to deal with unnecessary frustration over something as simple as a return.

I ordered a basic tulle wedding veil in ivory. When it arrived, I could immediately see through the clear packaging that the ivory color was not a true match for my wedding attire. That happens when ordering online, and I completely understood that the color simply did not work for me. I NEVER removed the veil from its plastic wrapping and immediately contacted Cocomelody to request a return.

What I did not expect was the return process and customer service experience that followed.

Instead of simply providing clear return instructions, I received responses that felt sarcastic and seemed to second guess my decision to return the item. I was then informed that accessories are not returnable. While this may be stated somewhere within their return policy, in my experience, this important restriction was not presented prominently enough when purchasing the item. You have to dig through the policy to discover that certain accessories cannot be returned.

For a company selling bridal merchandise, return restrictions on items like veils should be made VERY CLEAR BEFORE PURCHASE, not discovered after a customer has already paid and needs to make a return.

My veil was unused, unopened, and still sealed in its original packaging. I contacted the company immediately after realizing the color would not work for me. Yet, rather than receiving helpful customer service during an already busy time preparing for my wedding, I was left extremely disappointed with the experience.

I strongly encourage future brides to READ EVERY DETAIL OF COCOMELODY’S RETURN POLICY BEFORE ORDERING — ESPECIALLY WHEN PURCHASING ACCESSORIES.

I’m sharing this because I would not want another bride to experience this kind of frustration while preparing for what should be one of the happiest and most exciting times of her life.

Absolute trash!
They refused a return of an absolutely awful dress that I purchased for my wedding. Absolutely nothing like the photos whatsoever. If I even breathe wrong or stepped wrong, the whole thing would probably fall apart into pieces. They claim it was a clearance final sale because it was the only size left and now when you go on the website, it is full of every size. This website is an absolute scam. Brides, please purchase locally or USA based.

When i ordered my dress i was very apprehensive after reading some of the reviews, however ive only good things to say about this company. They always replied to any questions and were very helpful. My dress arrived today and it’s absolutely lovely will need taking up and slightly taking in on the shoulders,but the fabric is great quality and the dress is well made . I will definitely use this company again 😊

Sizing was way off (I ordered 3 sizes bigger to be safe) and the shoulders were still too small. I week proportioned and have never had this issue. To 4 weeks to get it and the torso was short and I had to scrap the mother of bride dress and turn in to a skirt for $300b costumer service was horrible. Most of their reviews are fake. I can tell babysit there are like twenty with very similar names done within a few days of each other. Their photos of “real women” are ai.

IT’S A SCAM! They shipped it from Texas but force you to pay to return it to China and charge a $50 restocking and service charge. When all is said and done you pay more to return it than you paid for it.

Absolutely amazing from start to finish. Before ordering I had sent in a few questions as I was worried about ordering from this website due to other reviews. All questions were answered within a day or 2. I ordered the dress with some adjustments as I wanted to change some details and Ella was amazing with answering my questions regarding the changes. The processing time took longer than the timescale on the website however, the dress was being made with the changes I had requested so it was to be expected. I had requested that the dress be delivered after a certain date and they accommodated that request. I felt like they really cared about everything I wanted for the dress. My dress has arrived and I honestly couldn’t be any happier with it, it’s perfect and exactly how I wanted it. The material looks so much nicer in person. I can’t wait to wear it. Buyer beware. Absolutely do not recommend buying from Cocomelody. My whole bridal party bought from them. Dresses fit strange. Took way longer than promised for delivery. Terrible customer service, do not accept returns. Awful experience for multiple bridesmaids

I bought this dress specifically because I am on a time crunch and the website description stated a 25 day production with 3-10 day expedited shipping. I’m over a month now with no shipping info, and when contacted, customer service said, “whoopsie, we forgot to tell you we might take weekends off.” I have the receipts to prove it. Now, as I’m demanding quicker shipping or a refund, I cannot get a response. Cute. Once they generate a shipping number, I can no longer return this item. I believe that’s what they’re waiting to do. Terrible company. Do not use if you need dress quickly.

I have NOTHING bad to say about my experience.

I liked a dress on the site but really wanted it to have a different colored layer so that the dress was not stark white. They sent me color options and suggested two colors based on their swatches. I suggested a different color and they accommodated.

They were VERY responsive, checking in to ensure I liked what they selected. They even changed the mesh on the dress to match the new layer color, although I had originally been told they may not be able to do so.

Before they shipped, they sent me pictures of the dress. When it arrived, it looked even better in person. It was so well made.

I would order from here again and will be recommending this site.

Ordered 2 ‘chiffon’ jumpsuits in Feb for a wedding that were bought ‘off the peg’ NOT made to order! Was meant to take 10 days to arrive - took around 8weeks - arrived end of Apr - and only after I chased! I tried to cancel and they would not agree to refund the cost of the order. They sent items - neither was chiffon! Tried to return - they will not agree to refund full cost and have highlighted that cost to ship to warehouse in Asia and ‘rush’ fees will be my responsibility AND they will only accept one return and will still not refund full cost! Have never written a review before - et alone a bad review like this! Absolutely disgusted with this company!

Absolutely a scam. They use fake pictures and make replica dresses that are poor quality. They also refuse to give you your money back with a return.

I do not recommend this store. I have received the dress for my daughter and I am very disappointed with this dress since it is not the same dress that I ordered. It looks very cheap and poor of quality even though I have paid a lot for it.

don’t buy anything from them, if u want to return back an item, u have to pay for shipping in a top of it they only refund u 20% of it, product is made in china terrible terrible quality save ur money don’t buy anything from them.

We placed an order on 2/25/26 and still haven't received the order. It was supposed to take 7 - 15 business days - and not a special order. It has been 7 weeks! They have provided excuse after excuse. Not worth the headache of ordering from this company. They processed the payment right away but they aren't interested in getting you the product.

I ordered my wedding day shoes from this site and I was contacted several times to make sure the shoes were exactly what I was looking for. They were custom made, so it took a month, but they were absolutely perfect when they arrived. Super affordable and good quality!!

I had a great experience with Cocomelody's custom order! I had originally purchased two wedding dresses in their general sizes thinking it would be better for alterations, but found that alterations would be almost double the cost of the dress. I was given a partial refund when I reached out as one dress fit perfect but the other did not. I loved the look of the second dress so much though that I decided to give custom sizing a try...

And my stylist Ella was beyond amazing! From the start of my order she reached out for more specifics regarding my measurements having noted my previous order history. I did remeasure probably five different times and even sent pictures with tape measure across myself, but it was well worth the time as the new dress was resized amazingly! Minor alterations are still needed, but at a fraction of the original quote.

I would highly recommend custom sizing!

In 2021 I had my first bride with a Cocomelody dress. It was custom made, gorgeous and affordable by most custom dress standards. I began referring them frequently and even had the opportunity to work with them. They featured a few of my weddings on their blogs.

In 2025, a bride of mine brought one of their listings to my attention because it seemed "off." She was right to be suspicious - this listing was clearly a photograph ran through AI to change the background and model's face. I did some further digging, and found that there are dozens of listings just like this on their website. On a simple Google reverse image search on a few of these photos, I found that Cocomelody was stealing designs from at least six different designers (likely more!)

Over the past several months, I have been trying to get in contact with someone at Cocomelody to give me an explanation about this. I've only received one response from Ella with their Online Stylist Team who stated that "AI-generated images have become the mainstream standard in our industry, which is why we rely on them." As a bridal photographer myself, this is entirely FALSE. The bridal industry is not advertising with AI, because that would be fraud.

Ella completely ignored half of my email, which was asking for confirmation if they are partnered with these brands whose dresses they are showing in the suspicious listings. After half a dozen emails being ignored, I have taken it upon myself to reach out to those other designers. So far two of those designers have gotten back with me confirming that they have NO PARTNERSHIP with Cocomelody and that these listings are FRAUDULENT.

This used to be a wonderful bridal company. Unfortunately, they have decided to change their ethics and have fake listings on their website. You can find some of the people who have fallen victim to these fake listings in the other reviews on their website, Yelp, and Reddit. DO NOT PURCHASE YOUR GOWN FROM THIS COMPANY.

I was really stressed when I placed the order, but I still had hope because my cousin had already ordered from this website. She told me it was reliable. Yesterday, I received my dress and it was absolutely stunning — even more beautiful in real life than in the pictures on the website. I’m so, so happy! On top of that, it was very affordable compared to prices elsewhere. Honestly, I’m extremely grateful. Girls, don’t hesitate — trust me!
