if i could give half a star i would poor service 2years 5 months since my father passed away and his estate still not sorted no communication as all disgusted. have dealt with other solicitors and things have never taken this long. would not recommend at all. Normal no reply

I would give a minus review if I could. 18 months in my property and I still don't have the title deeds because of some mistake with the boundary. I have been told that it is the sellers solicitors delaying things but I NEVER get an update unless I chase and I get the distinct feeling that this gets ignored and put to the bottom of the pile until I chase. I shouldn't have to keep chasing this up! You should be calling the sellers solicitors daily and making a complete nuisance of yourselves to get them to do what they need to do. Customer service is non-existent and this is not the only issue I have had with them. They forgot to pay the HTB money over so I was getting chased for a debt that was cleared. It took a lot of emails, time and stress to get that one finally resolved. Maybe I should start charging them for all the time I am spending on this!

Come on Dutton Gregory.......sort yourselves out!

As an update to this Dutton Gregory have admitted to me today that despite me sending the Deed of Variation to them in October 2023 it has not been submitted to Land Registry but had been filed instead. They have all along blamed the sellers solicitors for the delay whilst sitting on the documentation themselves. So they basically lied to me each time I chased by telling me they were waiting for the sellers solicitors!

USE THESE PEOPLE AT YOUR PERIL

As a further update.....how about you refund me for some of the fees I paid you to do a job that you didn't really do. Or how about you give me a goodwill compensation payment for the 18 months of stress and work I have had to miss trying to sort this out with emails and phone calls. To misquote Oscar Wilde and the Importance of Being Earnest "to mess up on element of a house purchase may be regarded as a misfortune, to but to mess up two main elements looks like carelessness"

Having just completed what turned into a very long and complicated house move, I can only wonder at what it would have been like without Hirakshi! She was amazing, pure and simple! Lucinda worked for us on our sale and our purchase. She was very human, she had a sense of humor, and was very calm, kind and understanding whilst being professional. She explained what we needed to know at each stage and listened to what we wanted.

Having a larger firm was brilliant as I knew that someone would be available to us if we needed them. But as they are not too far away, I was still able to pop in with documents when I needed to. When I called in a panic as Lucinda was not around, her colleague had already dealt with the issue! I also loved the app which explained the stages of the sale and purchase, as it meant I didn't need to ask all the time what the next steps were.

Helen helped me massively when my ex partner broke the court agreement and refused to comply to get me off the mortgage.
She was firm and efficient which is what he needed to get him to comply. It led to another court appearance where I represented myself (Helen supported me with all the information I needed to supply at court)
I am now off the mortgage and he paid all my costs incurred!
