Can anyone tell me how to actually speak to this company ? You can’t call only if you have an acc with them. And they don’t respond to emails due to security.
I just need to speak to someone as there is a charge on my mums house and no idea what its for. All I want is it clarifying.
Mum has dementia so can’t tell me.

They must have the worst customer service ever. I am sure the company is AI run no empathy be very clear be very careful with Elderbrigde my investigation leads me to believe they are a subsidiary of arrow let me know your thoughts

Unbelievably, this multi-million £ corporation dismisses my claim for a repayment mistake of their making because I didn't realise it immediately.
I was successful in reclaiming mis-sold PPI, so far no issues. What I didn't understand until too late, was my repayments should have also dropped as I was no longer purchasing the PPI. So I approached this £££££ company for an adjustment. Their reply amounted to "too late moosh". Rip off Britain at its finest.
If you have to use this company, be aware people they are not on your side, only the side of profit.

Elderbridge are not helping even when government are telling them not to bully customers

Had a loan with first plus 2008 elderbridge took over paid off march 2023 . I just applied for remorgage only being told by my solicitor 2 restrictions on land registry by firstplus I contacted elderbridge to get these removed been goingsaying they been removed absolutely shocking nothing done I contacted land registry they told me elderbridge need to fill application rx4 form to remove they are a waiste off time I av contacted ombudsman they are investigating I will not let this lye

Received a letter from elderbridge to provide proof of me being out of pocket for a mistake caused by elderbridge and in the letter they said they will put me back into the financial situation I was in before they made the mistake. I sent over the proof via email over 7 weeks ago now and nothing back. I have requested a call from a manager but didn’t receive one. I’ve called them several times and emailed 3 times but can’t seem to get any quick resolution for my query and I’m still out of pocket.

We borrowed 96k 22yrs ago kept receiving a letter with our closing statement on which we owed 28 k .my wife took early redundancy so we decided to pay balance off , when we rang they kindly 😃😡said there was a pot of 30k frozen interest they’d held back still to pay. last payment tomorrow due then that’s it but plz hold on to your paper work cos one day these robbing b******s will probably have to starts compensating those have being over charged 😡also plastic vorderman should hang her head in shame tho I doubt she gives a toss

I blame Barclays and FirstPlus for selling their portfolio to Elderbridge which is a subsidiary of Target Group. Carol Volderman had originally recommended Firsplus Loans to the public. The UK public had so much trust in her at the time but her TV campaign was utterly misleading. Elderbridge is a ruthless company; they often ignored my enquiries and blamed me for their non-transparent interest rates. Their complaints department is a joke.

Recently received a letter from them regarding a previous tenant in our property, and their loan, and charge over our property.
At great cost to us our solicitor involved to write to them and advise they had the wrong information, and the previous tenant should never have used our property as security.
They have not even had the decency to reply to our solicitor.
This has cost us a lot of money and is actually nothing to do with us. But the bit that hurts is that
1. If I call them I can’t speak to them because I am not the person who had the loan, no matter that addressed their letters to our property
2. That they did not have the common decency to reply to the many solicitors letters sent.
It stinks that we are out of pocket and all because a previous tenant in the property we now own used our address as security.

I agree with every comment on here about how disgusting this company is. They did the same with me. Bought our loan from First Plus and upped the interest rates for no reason.
I would love to know if anyone has fought against this and won. Or is it just a lost cause.
What they do, should be a legal.

W****kers basically no budging on paying a loan off earlier and Barclays should be dragged over the coals with C Volrdaman for advertising criminal activity loan shark practice the government should look into the people tied into traps debt by these thieving ba*****=

Updated review, house is sold but guess what Elderbridge are demanding £20 for an updated redemption although they also claim they haven't taken over our mortgage in 2017, if they haven't taken over our mortgage why are we paying them mortgage money and why are they with holding redemption figure.
DO NOT USE

Elderbridge are a total bunch of corrupt crooks. They buy loans from other companies and then bully/scare innocent folks into paying their excessive charges. They maybe a legally registered company but they need investigation before someone is driven to suicide by the threats they make. Do NOT deal with this company if at all possible. I trust that their greedy unscrupulous owners and directors suffer prolonged and painful deaths.

Just been informed a second charge on a loan cleared Sept 2017 has not been removed and this is delaying our remortgage. When you phone all you get is a call center the staff are pleasant but they know very little. Avoid using them.

Reported to financial ombudsman. Disgusting treatment on a settled account from January 2022 yet they have failed to remove the charge with the land registry. This is now holding up the sale if the property and reading reviews it seems to be their normal practice.
Total disregard for their lawful responsibility. NEVER respond or callback.

Elderbridge , the worst ,most unprofessional company I’ve ever dealt with , I paid off my secured loan in full February 2019 and it took me a long period of time to get a letter confirming payment made
Just recently I applied for a loan against my house only to be told that the charges off of my house hadn’t been sorted !!
After 5 years !
I’ve been chasing them to sort and having great difficultly trying to find someone in authority to speak to

Awful company, spent 20 hours on hold over a 3 day period.
The best way to get their attention is to cancel your payments “ I promise you will get a phone call the next day”.

I always believed the dregs referred to the very bottom of the barrel however I am proven wrong by Elderbridge. I took out a loan with First Plus (FP) in 2006, the loan was transferred to a secondary company Credit solutions Ltd (CSL). A mistake was made regarding a settlement figure in 2013, CSL owned up to and froze my account for 2 years when the eventually negotiated a £11500,00 settlement paid in 2015. I received an email from the CSL, manager to confirm settlement and account closed, in 2016, Elderbridge contacted me by letter to say they were in control of my account, I contacted them stating the situation the executive politely interrupted, stating the account was closed, the amount written off, and sent back to Barclays (FP) I was given Barclays contact number they stated the same. In 2019,when selling our house it was noted a second charge had been registered in 2016, in favor of Elderbridge, when contacting their offices they opened a complaint and actually admitted in writing I had been misled and sent the recording of the call. However they have refused to remove the charge despite all the evidence provided and the fact CSL went into insolvency in July 2017, leaving me no option of any recourse. I am now bringing proceedings at further costs to me as we purchased a house to move into in 2019, and have had to rent it out, we sold our business with the property we still live in and lost thousands in storage, they simply don,t care. Any of you out their should either contact the legal Ombudsman or with help bring proceedings, this is a firm who push all boundaries and will send people to the limit at the same time lead them into bankruptcy. you are dealing with legalized crime involving slick operatives who will do everything in their power to hold on to illegitimate monies belonging to other people.

I agree with everything below, I had a loan with First Plus who sold it to Elderbridge and I had no say in it. All they have done is put up interest rates, even when interest rates were at almost 0% Elderbridge were still at about 7 to 8%. I asked if I could have a discount if I settled early and they said no, also you are not allowed to speak to the department that makes the decision. I made a lump sum payment and although they knocked the amount off the outstanding balance the statement said if I carried on paying monthly I would still pay the full amount, totally ignoring the lump sum payment which would have been an increase in what I owed. After this I couldn't trust them so I had to borrow some money to pay the loam off. I am thinking of contacting the FCA. I would advise no one to go near this company.

I agree with all the comments about this company ,They do not care about customer care they have just put up the interest again that is 3 times since january from 7.7 to 8.1. Its ok for them just to put the rates up \DONT they realise there is a recession going on , I know it is only £20 extra but with the price of fuel and everything else it is just a joke. I am not in any in a position to just keep on given it out, I think they just want my house as it is a secured loan, THANKS
