Subcontractors wanted to undercut empire and do the work themselves empires management. Once notified gaslighted me called me a liar reneged on the initial price quoted to me and never responded to any of my complaints or try to rectify the situation.

empire is prompt. Sales are very efficient. Installers are meticulous when done.

Tuesday, we met with an empire sales rep decided on a carpet installation for living room & hallway. scheduled the install for Thursday. requested an afternoon appt & sales rep did advise us it’s not always guaranteed The day before install I get a text with a timeframe of 8A-6P. 10 hour window, ridiculous. Text said they would reach out by 10 AM with better ETA I work til noon. after 1PM would be ideal for me, but with no real eta i had no choice but to call out & lose a days pay It’s day of install, 10:30 AM. I haven’t heard from anyone. I call & they tell me installer in Brooklyn & I’m next 2 PM - nothing. 2:47 pm I get a phone call confirming installer arrival 4-430pm. 10 minutes later, 2:56 PM they call to cancel. A customer service rep tries to get in contact with the installer, who didn’t answer. Even she is confused on how I got a confirmed time& then get turned around and canceled on 10 minutes later at 3 PM. We make about 6 different calls to figure out what’s going on, from customer service twice to installment to installer manager. It’s a run around Turns out they decided to cancel due to the rain, which yes is in the contract. However, this particular Thursday it had been raining all day. My husband wakes up for work at 4 AM & it was pouring then how could I get canceled on 11 hours later for the weather ? It could have been done earlier & I didn’t have to lose a days pay from work. So then we ask what the rain has to do with it. They say that they have to cut the carpet outside. Which is mind blowing and something I’ve never heard of! It’s certainly not hygienic!! Our sales rep didn’t mention anything of the sort. They ask if we have a garage where they can cut it. We say no but our house is certainly big enough that they could’ve done it inside. what is the point of pre-measuring if you’re gonna cut it outside that’s just insane. slimy business practice, and incredibly un-hygienic. I would never recommend this place to my worst enemies.

Juan did an excellent job explaining my options and didn’t pressure me to purchase right away. I was able to compare your products against other vendors to make an informed decision.

The installers were very proficient!

Mr Freddy and his crew did an outstanding jobs on my floors . They arrived on time and immediately got to work. Very professional and did an excellent job cleaning up. Highly recommend.

The installers were great, very respectful, worked diligently, you almost didn't know they were in the house until you heard some banging; the Lead, who I will call Rudy, explained everything that needed to be done and we walked around to inspect everything once the work was completed. Only one fix was noted, which the Lead fixed. The only reason I gave it a "four star" was because of the sawdust that was "everywhere." Not their fault.

The installers were very polite and efficient. They did a good job and they tidied everything up after installation. The carpets cost more than we anticipated, but we are happy with the results.

Upfront, no hassle communication. Great pricing helped.
