I was rushed to move in by Martin from Entwistle Green Lettings Bury branch even though the property was nowhere near ready to be rented. Had several issues, damage, mould and things missing. The rent is stupidly high for what you get. Had nothing but stress with the property. Wish I never signed the contract.

Excellent service from start to finish. Kept us updated throughout the process and answered queries promptly. Nothing was too much. Highly recommend.

I arrived in Warrington in January knowing nobody in the city. Searching a flat online did not help a lot. Walking by entwistle green i decided to enter and ask for more info! Luckily Mrs Dora Seimeni was there who was more than helpful. After she showed me some flats in the city, indecided to review one. Dora could not be more helpful really, she explained everything thoroughly and helped me understand how the bills work, how to accommodate etc. being totally new in the country knowing nothing, i m thankful that i found her. Entwistle Green as well was immediately next to me when something needed to be fixed in my flat! 5 stars, can’t recommend enough both the agency and my agent Dora.

Convicted murderer from a notorious Liverpool gang shooter family, drug mule, bully XL breeder, friends of murderer. These are the people the horrid incompetents at Entwistle Green (subsidiary of countrywide) put into my home.

I made the mistake of trusting entwistle green allerton with renting and “full management” of my home whilst I was away.

The first tenant “passed all referencing checks”. It was a young female. She paid rent late (more than 2 weeks late most times) 90% of the time. She did not pay the last two months rent. I had to evict her through the courts before she left. She caused thousands of pounds of damage. Entwistle had ZERO interest in helping when things were getting difficult, instead delegating all the chasing and court navigation back to me, as well as giving seriously bad and damaging advice when pressed.

Turns out this tenant was the girlfriend of a convicted murderer, who when he went to jail, she stopped paying rent. The agent admitted they would come in to pay cash.

One of the workers, who’s name is incredibly old fashioned and common admitted “6 months of rent up front” was enough to pass referencing. I was shocked to hear this.

The agent and countrywide refused to give me ID or any information at all stating “GDPR”. Countrywide’s dats officer was arrogant and uncaring of my need to take the rogue tenant to court and wilfully obstructive using GDPR as an excuse to hold onto the information I instructed him to obtain.

I had to hire a private investigator before starting proceedings.

The subsequent tenant brought to my attention later that there were constant police raids at the house and the tenant replaced the front door with a “rock door” as the police broke my door down. None of this was run past me. Entwistle acted like the tenant did me a favour.

The subsequent tenant also “passed referencing”. Soon after, she moved her boyfriend in, who never admitted who he was not came on the official documentation. Looked like another mule but I was trapped.

When I arrived at the house it was wrecked. The back garden was torn up by the dogs. Boards everywhere. Dog poo everywhere. Everything chewed inside and out. The door handle had been broken off the garage door and the hole taped up. The automatic opening function was destroyed. There was no access. Clearly they were dealing from the garage. Neighbours were afraid and told me he was also a bully XL breeder.

Entwistle refused to change the contract to incorporate penalties so I couldn’t recover losses anyway. The manager and her staff were incredibly rude.

They told me to put their address on the court documents. Everyone knows that doing that would result in a failed court summons and all associated pain.

They never answer their phone. They don’t do anything you ask. They pass you to countrywide their umbrella company, at every opportunity, who defend the tenants.

At one point they admitted the had a forwarding address then when I kept asking for it they kept stating GDPR then finally “we don’t have a forwarding address”.

Eventually I got so fed up and concerned I sold my home which I’ve had for 10 years. I took a huge loss on that.

They of course, claimed ignorance about the calibre of people they were putting in. They met these people. They took the cash. The gangster was infamous. They just didn’t care or at worst, complicit.

My formal complaints were met with contempt and incompetence, blaming me for the issues.

They gaslighted me trying to say it was my fault.

Even though I had £100 a month insurance covering the entire house, entwistle had no interest in using them, instead hounding me to do their job for them. I had to fight with them to do their job.

They tried to undersell my property and tell me it was worth less than it was, despite the rental market being strong at the time.

I made several formal complaints with more detail and events which I could record here, but this review would end up several more pages long and if you have read this far, you get the idea how bad they are.

Could not be happier with the service and support we have had from Entwistle in the Widnes/Runcorn area. We have been in contact with Amy for the last few weeks who has been a live saver. My mum has been looking for a new house after receiving a notice from her current landlord. Every agency or rep we have spoken with has been extremely unhelpful, it came across judgemental as soon as we mentioned my mums disability and the support she needs. Amy has gone above and beyond to make us feel valued and supported and did not stop trying to help us. The constant communication and reassurance made us feel so at ease and has made the whole transition so much easier. I can’t thank you enough!l and my mum is extremely grateful.

My mums flat flooded due to a leaking pipe, it's been over 9 weeks and both Entwistle and the landlord have still not fixed the problem. Black mould has overtook the floors and walls in the bedroom causing my mum to have breathing difficulties, a very nasty cough, headaches and nose bleeds. Both Entwistle and the landlord have been made aware or the extent of this health and safety issue and both denied responsibility at first until I went through the contract to disprove their claims. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Horrible horrible company. No customer centricity. Having rented for 12 months from them and paid my rent on time every month, when it came to refunding my deposit they were deliberately obstructive. The leaving inspection was completed quickly with the recommendation the full deposit was refunded due to the clean condition the property was left in. 2 weeks later they finally put the money back in my account. £1700 to an individual is a lot of money and I had bills to pay for my new property but the team at Entwistle did not care. No sympathy, empathy or urgency. I bet it would have been different if my rent was two weeks late. My advice is stay far away from these sharks.

Awful experience would not use again. I dealt with Gary Trappe at the Burnley branch. He valued our property for £15,000 more than it was sold for at auction where we had felt pressured to sell. Apart from the initial contact to sign the contract I never heard from him again even though he had been kept in the loop via email communication with the suction company - I am sold.

It was particularly misleading and deceptive as we had signed a contract less than a month ago with him and there had been no mention of the valuation price changing and certainly not by that much. Either the valuation price had deliberately been set high to entice us or they hadn’t pushed the sale.

We ended up making a loss of £15,000 using them and their auction company. They care about getting their fees paid and they really don’t care to make you the maximum from the sale. To that end they do the bare minimum.

I would not use again because they don’t consider your best interest only their own.

Fantastic service by Chris & the team at Entwistle Green Lancaster. Very efficient, and great communication throughout the process of arranging mortgage and buying a house. Would recommend- 5 stars.

I rang the office on Monday morning of the 18th Sept & spoke to a lady to book a viewing for a rental property in Westhoughton. I was given a time of Monday 25th Sept at 11.15am. The lady I spoke to said I would receive a text with the time, date & address. I rang back on Friday 22nd to inform them that the text hadn't come through. I tried at different times of the day to get through but no one answered all day. I went onto their website & also onto Rightmove to get the address but the property had been removed. I rang again on the day of the viewing (25th Sept) first thing & finally someone answered. I told the lady that I hadn't received the information as yet & she said she would text me but also said that my viewing wasn't at 11.15am but at 2.10pm. I mentioned that I was told 11.15am but not to worry as I could also make 2.10pm at a push. A few hours went by & I still hadn't received the text. I rang again to make sure she had the right number & they had the correct number. She advised that both herself & her colleague had sent me a text. I said it hadn’t come through & that ARC & Miller Metcalfe had sent me a text that morning & also last Thursday & it came through. She then said she would tell me the details over the phone. By this time it was 2pm & I was due to see the property at 2.10pm. I asked if the person who was doing the viewings would wait for me & she said yes but id have to wait. I typed the postcode in my sat nav and realised it was too far for me to make it back in time as i was teaching at 3pm. If they had been professional & text me when they said they would then I would have been able to view the property. Id already agreed to do 2.10pm even though that wasn't the original time I was given. Ive never come across an estate agent as disorganised & unprofessional as this one. The lady I spoke to didn't take any accountability for not sending me a text, never said sorry & made me feel that I was at fault even though I had no problem receiving text information from the aforementioned estate agents. I cant put a life changing decision like a house move in the hands of a company who cant even be bothered to pick the phone up or send important details via text.

VERY BAD Not even one star do not even think to use their services ,very good luck if they pick up the phone they never respond.

Absolutely disgrace.

My pensioner father moved out of one of their properties in June into sheltered accommodation. They have owed him over £1000 since then in rent overpayment and deposit. Despite numerous emails and calls they are still withholding his money and he's now in arrears at his new property. Sheila and Anthony from the Allerton branch have been no help in sorting this problem despite numerous attempts to get his money back. We will now have no option than to seek legal advice on how we can get his money back. They are shameless scammers, avoid at all costs or you will regret it.

Entwistle Green Blackburn have been our letting agents for many years. Sherry and her team have always been very professional and proactive and always go the extra mile to organise any work or maintenance required at our apartment. We would highly recommend them if you are looking to rent a property in the Blackburn area.

Easy dealings and great communication. Sydney at the Bury branch was an absolute star and a super help.

I highly do not recommend using Entwistle Green. I dealt with Julie Winkler at the Bury branch. Extremely unhelpful and rude. She made it impossible to book a viewing for a house I was interested in buying. I since contacted the seller directly, to be told that the seller had been lied to on numerous ocassions and Julie was pushing for an inside job to sell the property to a property developer. Very unprofessional.

Absolute disgrace. We had problems with the waste pipes and they left us live in a house full of fecal matters. When I was calling them and crying they have said to me there is no need to be upset. We have reported multiple issues in the house and they did not even reply or replied after months. Refused to give deposit back and when I told them they have 10 days to give the deposit back, they tried to convice me it is 28 days.Absolute s**t show this company. Avoid at all cost if you don’t want to deal with incompetent agency.
