You don't need to pay…
You don't need to pay for the basic reports, they make a lot of noise about your subscription, but I did a one off download of my full report then cancelled any sub to still maintain the free basic report.

Very difficult to find a phone number
Very difficult/impossible to find a contact phone number; very hard to register (verification system doesn’t work from a smartphone)
Should be easy just to phone up and speak to someone - especially if you’re trying to resolve an issue with data on credit report

You can lock your credit for Free don't buy into their BS
You can lock your credit for Free. Equifax obscures that fact so you think you have to sign up for a special tier of service to get that protection. It's a LIE. Disgusting that a company that says it's protecting you is actually GRIFTING you. I HATE that the world is allowing this level of constant grift. Personally I'm good at navigating this landscape but I shouldn't have to and I weep for everyone who is confused and gets scammed all the time.

We do offer some subscription products, but even these are available with a free 30 day trial period, so that you may use the time to decide whether you feel the features represent value for money.

Credit score discrepancy not sorted
Contacted today as my score was showing a negative impact due to it not showing any record of a credit card or spend , indeed I have had one card for many years , the case has been marked as resolved and asks to call them ? Why ? No change noticed at all . Should be an easy fix but not wasting my time getting sucked in to call them .

Equifax are probably the worst company I've ever dealt with
Every single interaction I've had with Equifax has been bad. Any correspondence results in no issues being solved, their solution is always to go speak to someone else. I don't Equifax can actually do anything, it's shocking they have such a key role in credit checks and you HAVE to go through them.
