Intentional bait and switch
They use overseas hard to address issues with very limited abilities of customer service. The many models and numbers are dancing around giving a rock solid credit score number. If a creditor calls they get a definite number on the spot. Something they will not give the consumer. These are companies not consumer agencies who I did not give permission to discuss my credit with...

utterly lost company, was doing a house reno, needed a higher credit card max with paying contractors, etc. Was denied by them after 10 days, but approved at the bank when i walked in within 30 seconds.
Unresponsive website, poor customer service
The myequifax website is never functional. Customer Service, if you're lucky enough to actually be able to contact it, is ridiculous and unresponsive. Should you decide to cancel your service, good luck getting touch. If you do get in touch, be prepared to jump through hoops to get them to cancel. Very unsatisfied with my experience with this company. I recommend not doing business with them.

First I tried to sign up to get my free report. That didn't work which then promoted me to have to waste 1/2 months of my LIFE and time dealing with fools who don't understand what they are doing or don't understand English.

I don't have a US mobile for them to send me a code which they could easily do by email or by some other method on their site, and this promoted them to DEMAND I fax in my ID which I had to do twice wasting more of my time and more of my money to fax.
Then they STILL couldn't create the online account for me saying their tech support would have to fix it.
Even the supervisors were morons, and if I raised my voice even a little, they would threaten me that they would hang up, and were only trying to help me LOL (that's their go-to line)
I could get better help from a 6 y/o.
At some point someone said he WOULD send me the report, but instead 2-3 weeks later I got a letter saying they don't know what discrepancies I want to dispute. What??? I NEVER said any such thing, I wanted just a SIMPLE REPORT!!!
Then after the 6th call and countless hours and being on hold with a supervisor for almost 45 minutes, she, or their system hung up on me and that was my last straw. They could have called me back, but she DIDN'T. And they are very arrogant over there I noticed.
I called around and eventually filed a complaint with CFPB who doesn't help at all other than Equifax now JUMPED to get me the report.
But get this, they snail mailed them to me over and over again and it costs me money to scan every page, so I am now $15 in debt because of Equifax.
Then they sent me more letters telling me they don't know what part of my credit report is wrong and that was even their idiotic response to CFPB. SMH
They also just sent me a letter (one month old) saying they can't find me based on my social and info to give me a report, that I gave them the wrong info. This is weeks AFTER they already sent me the report twice.
You can get the free report from annualcreditreport.com and file a complaint with consumerfinance.gov One of those two had the sharpest woman I have dealt with since this WHOLE MESS started. An American where I was off the phone within 15 mins. and it felt wonderful to have someone who understands ENGLISH!!!

The worst company among three credit bureau! Worst service for disputing. Simply ignore all your dispute requests. I never choose a loan or credit provider if they cooperate with Equifax. I ONLY trust Experian and TransUnion. Experian >= TransUnion >>>>> Equifax.
How companies can screw you over because of lies!!
This is my review for Equifax, I disputed a collection from Hertz on my Equifax twice, so all Equifax does is call the collections agency they say yep she owes it Bam that's their investigation and that's all the investigation that they do even though I had the receipt saying it was paid. So I call the collections agency today to ask them what's going on why is it that hertz car rental is saying that I owe $1,200 bucks when my insurance company at the time had paid the invoice! Well what the collection agency says is that Hertz rent a car in draffanville says that yes State farm paid but they took the money back I said okay, so I called State farm and they said absolutely not The check was cashed and they are wrong. I can't give hertz a bad review because it doesn't show up on trust pilot So if You live in Western Kentucky around Benton area do not rent a car from Hertz because what they did to me it's only because I didn't hand the key to the woman which was the girlfriend of the owner because I had worked too late they were closed she continued to mark my car that I rented as not being there then lied to the collections agency after trying to get over to them saying that the payment was taken back when in fact The check was cashed And then they turn it over to the credit bureau who does absolutely no investigating believes the lies and crap that is told to them and I have a debt for 1200 and some dollars on my Equifax and TransUnion Because nobody wants to do their job correctly and they ignore the consumers evidence and proof!! And TransUnion, I will review you next,and Equifax if I could give you no stars I would I see how I have to give you one You get 1! Non existent customer service
Non existent customer service. I tried over a week to sign in online. Customer service suggested changing browsers, using all capitals etc.. nothing worked. In the end they blamed coronavirus for my account issue. Try any other service.

Be leaders not micro managers. Lead by example not by your ego. Teach members to be better than you rather than trying to be better than everyone else which leads to staff turnover. Team members want to be listened to & appreciated which will lead the company to deliver good products! Problem.. Could not login, appears they locked my account. Process Call 888-836-6351. Tried twice , here is the process
Press 0. Speak to customer service. Then verify identity
1. Verify the phone is a phone that is on your profile
2. Provide social security number
3. Provide address
Now it says great but they need more. They want to ask questions from your credit report.
But it misses the question !!!, No question is asked but it demands a reponse !! .

The worst credit reference agency of the lot
I have a good credit score with Experian and TransUnion and they have all my information stored correctly. However, when I was recently refused credit because the creditor used Equifax as their only source of information, I was informed that no credit file existed for me and that I was being fraudulent. I tried creating an online account with Equifax, which didn’t work and I was advised to call them… which I did.
After being placed on hold twice, I was eventually asked to provide my passport and a recent utility bill or bank statement via their secure site. Fair enough, I thought. Having provided the information, I received a reply advising me that they were unable to verify me and needed me to confirm my address… the address they had on the utility bill they asked for, for that very reason.
The service is shocking and I’m glad this is the first (and hopefully only) experience I have with them. When their incompetence is affecting people’s ability to get credit when they’ve got no blemishes on their report and are perfectly credit-worthy, it makes me wonder why Equifax is able to operate with such important data.
If you can avoid using Equifax, I would steer clear.

This is the most worthless credit reporting company out of the 3. They are reporting the wrong balance on my report. The other 2 companies are correct. They will not fix it even with the dispute dropping my score 30 points. They entered tge wrong info and I have to pay for it. Credit reporting is a absolute joke!!!

Equifax customer service rep was unprepared, very difficult to understand and when I asked for a supervisor, the rep put me on hold for 48 minutes before I hung up. I was trying to get a copy of my credit report. I will go with TransUnion next time to get my credit report and to buy credit protection services

They literally get hacked frequently and I had a fraud case on my account which dropped my credit score by 300 points!!!! It's been 5 months and still not resolved, everytime I call they keep telling me it'll take another 30 business days LOL WHAT? 30 business days?????!!! This is literally hurting my credit score and I'm literally not able to buy a house or a car right now because of these fools. I still can't believe how long its been since they "Started" to resolve my case.

I called because my score dropped a good 45 points. From the 7 hundreds down to 6 hundreds.
No missed payments, no hogh credit utilisation, nothing that would cause someone score to take such a big dive.
I politely pointed out that I did not understand the vague info she was conveying and asked what exactly made my score drop.
As I was politely conveying that i was not inderstanding her while she kept inrerrupting the few times I tried to speak, she hanged up the phone.
I literally was speaking to myself!!!
For an organisation that holds our info, it's a shame and disturbing to see that they cannot train their employees, allow them to be extremely rude and let such an organisation wrongly decide whether tour score is good or bad despite a very good record!!!

They messed up my credit score
By them, my credit score fell by 38 points! Therefore, I open a dispute on one of my credit cards because it has two accounts and an inaccurate amount reported. I opened the dispute on the account that didn't belong to me (it was closed and transferred to a new account, leaving me with just 1). Furthermore, they don't update for two months.
So when I called, they informed me that the reason my credit score dropped was because I had opened a dispute on the incorrect account that was meant to be on my credit report.
No way! I opened the correct account; they were just messed and disorganized. So, they can't do anything to improve my credit score or reversed the score back, but they remove the dispute.
Despite my best efforts to pay off the debt, they are negatively affecting my credit score, which is incredibly upsetting. No wonder why they have very poor review from all the places.
