I love shopping with Fire mountain Gems. There prices are fair n even better on sale items. They have a huge selection to choose from. Customer service. Is awesome. I really can't say anything negative about my experiences with them. The only thing I can think of that is negative is I don't have any money to shop any time I want to. Bc if I did. My husband would have to hide the credit card. !!!
Bad value
The folks at FM have obviously confused the terms "wholesale" and "sky-high." Also, the amount of defective and shortchanged product has escalated to ~25% (wood rounds that are oblong ... "calibrated" cabs and bezels that aren't ... packs of 20 that contain 17 ... undrilled or off-center beads ... paid-for items that don't ship ... and on and on). Sure, you can return their mistakes (at your expense) and roll the dice on replacements (while paying another shipping fee). Or, you can call "customer service," where you'll be treated like a would-be thief. I was a long-time fan of FM, even a member of their Platinum Group. Not anymore. If I can't find an item elsewhere, I change the design. Hey, I want a job in purchasing or QC ... I do love my naps!

I bought some watermelon tourmaline from this company and it is such poor quality I won't ever order again. A full third of the beads I received couldn't even be strung. And who knows if what I got is even what I ordered.

Never buy Boss' Bead Bag
I ordered the Boss' Bead Bag. This was a complete disappointment. Some huge stones. Not a single bead which would attract, a lot of plastic and wooden cheap beads, some small number of glass beads but with scratches and damages, and the rest is just junk. There is no way to leave your feedback on the Fire Mountain Gems and Beads website, or make a return.

I'm so dumbfounded that I'm writing reviews because people need to know what kind of company treats their customers like this! Definitely taking my jewelry supply needs elsewhere.

We have been a customer for over 5 years and the quality and customer service was always pretty good. This past year I have noticed a steep decline in quality. Mostly from the products made in China. It's like there is absolutely no quality control, Missing pieces, broken, bent,chipped,scratched and misshaped,The merchandise I buy like Sterling Silver ear-wires is of high quality and manufactures in India. Unfortunately the majority of their merchandise comes from China. They also changed their return policy drastically. It use to be no time limitations now all items must be returned within 30 days. I guess they were getting bombarded with returns. I wonder why???

Quality beads and findings and great customer service
I love their beads and findings. Items as simple as howlite chips are of the highest quality. Their lapis lazuli and semiprecious beads are quite beautiful. I love the quality.

Great customer service. I filled out a post-order questionnaire and said I was disappointed with a few items and thrilled with a few others. Received an email from customer service stating they were concerned about my disappointment - asked if I would like to return the item - I didn't have original package any longer, they made an exception and sent me a return envelop free of charge! Now that's a company that understands how to build loyal customers.

Poor quality and impossible return policy
Their customer service people are rude. They have a return policy that expects you to return the items with a sticker you can’t find. I’ve been told its on the box, on the package, and on the back of the paperwork by different customer service people so clearly even they can’t find it. The product was such poor horrible quality I cant use it but I cant return it and I’m out about $50 bucks. They sent the awful things back to me with a message that now I’ve been charged an extra $5.99 to send it back to me. This was AFTER they called to tell me they had received my return package. They are already calling but they can’t tell you there’s a problem? Not only that but i had returned a giant package of leathers bracelets that came with my order by mistake and they repay me with ripping me off.
Don’t expect much and you’ll probably be satisfied
If you have low expectations for quality and service, go for it! I purchased everything from this place when I first started beading, which was over 10 years ago. It was fun because the more you added, the more you saved and $5 flat rate shipping was great! But now, I find that every time I decide to purchase a bunch of basic items that don’t have to be top quality, (about once a year), I regret it. The Shipping department seems to have some difficulties. The photos don’t seem to show the true quality. I placed an order at 8 AM on a Friday and never received a shipping confirmation until Tuesday, saying it will be here by 8 pm Thursday. Here it is Friday and still nothing. This was a $400 order. And I’ve been ordering for years! The last time I ordered, it took almost a week longer than the tracking number said. When I contacted them, they said that tracking number is for when it arrives at my post office...huh? I realize this is partly USPS issues. But also, no one ever seems to want to assist you, at least not happily. I don’t think I will be ordering from them again. It has the feel of a company going under. Except they’ve been that way for a while now.
Shame on Fire Mountain Gem & Beads
It is really sad when a company such as this one doesn't honor their own products. Let me give an example: I shop on Nike.com, I purchase a pair of shoes-when I receive the shoes the box INCLUDES and prepaid return label for my convenience should I NOT like my purchase I can easily send it back for my full money back. Which I personally think all company's should operate. Now I ordered from Fire mountain on several occasions and noticed each time my package arrived the quality or look of some beads were unacceptable. Which I then realized aha! If you don't like what you get YOU MUST PAY TO SEND IT BACK.!! And the worst part is I sent 2 emails to customer support and they sent me an autoresponder that it would be sent to the proper dept and its been 2 or 3 months and I just hear crickets!! But rest assured they continue to send me catalogues and deal emails!! Ha, I just put it in my spam folder, If you don't honor your own products, you don't value customers feedback, and you ignore concerns voiced from your fans then you don't deserve repeat business!
