Customer service how it should be
Not often I give a good review, but good service from Gap all round. Ordered some T-Shirts in the sale. The couriers messed up the delivery. Suspicians that they stole my order but that's another story. Already negatively reviewed them. Couldn't get hold of the couriers at all so contacted Gap for help. Explained the problem and they refunded me instantly, including postage costs, and price matched the same order again (as the sale had ended). Can't argue with that. I wish more companies would actually treat customers well like this, even though it wasn't their fault. The T-Shirts are great as well. So hard to find a quality plain black Tee nowadays. They are either rubbish quality or have labels slapped all over them. Gap delivers on this front. Would have given 5 stars if they could have just sent a new order instead of having to refund me then have me place a new order, which then needed price matching. Apart from this policy hickup, their customer service is great, which is what you want from a company in this day and age where big business doesn't care about regular people.

Good company to deal with. Order arrived on time but with one shortage, I mailed and got a quick response. Missing item sent by post. Driver was polite and friendly. Overall. I found GAP to be reasonably priced and responsive. Many thanks.
Disgusting company & customer service
Disgusting company & customer service. Got a rock door from this company, within a year it had bubbled & cracked & had a very draughty hallway. The fitter gave me the number of the supplier (Gap) who sent a engineer out who agreed the door was faulty & told me they had started using cheaper materials & that’s why they were having a problem. I was told a new door would be fitted & that was that. Over six months later & no contact from Gap I sent numerous emails & phoned the company many times only to go to voicemail. Today I received a email from Jason at the company saying they will not be replacing my door as it’s the fitters fault. I’ll be taking the matter further as these doors are not as described & the company is a total letdown regarding faults ( as you can see from previous reviews) I’d say avoid at all costs.
From a construction professional's viewpoint.
As a construction professional building useful relationships with suppliers is an important tool to insure product quality and reliability.
I had been buying uPVC products from a company called SIG, who provided good fairly priced products, with good service. That company has been bought out by GAP UK.
I have property in France and used my go to suppler for doors and windows. The order process went well, I had a one person point of contact and the indicators were good. I paid promptly, and the order arrived. There were some 60 to 70 items in the shipment. Although I was assured by staff members as the depot that everything had been thoroughly checked three times and a quick count showed all doors and windows were present, there were items inside packs that I had not ordered, and several glass cassettes missing. GAP flat out refused to ship replacements to me and I was required to drive 700 miles to retrieve them.
Upon unpacking on site in France it was evident that several doors and windows were damaged or had small parts missing. Some windows have trim and finishing pieces missing, my balcony door set has a missing hinge, my patio bifold master door is a parallelogram, which has been so hard to open and close that the handle has snapped off.
At this point I have been in negotiations with GAP for replacements for about 18 months.
Each time I contact them I am given a different person to deal with. And need to start the process from scratch. Promises have been made and broken. My details have been lost, and my order is no longer on their system.
The products are under warranty, but GAP personnel have passed my case around and fobbed me off. The demands made on me to justify my case became ever more ridiculous. The last was a demand for photos of my house in France in case someone on the sales team recognised it. This after being informed my sales contact, who of course had never even seen the house, no longer works at GAP.
What is really annoying is that staff at Origin, the manufacturers of my bifold door are aware of my order and the problems with it but are prevented from helping me directly by their trade agreement with GAP. GAP refuses to recognise this same order.
It seems GAP is a nationwide conglomerate who have eaten up smaller companies. If they are actually a material supplier then have lost sight of the fundamentals f their business. If their trade is exploiting cash cows then they are thriving.
I can not trust this company.
They do not deliver on promises, they have a large attractive sales balloon, but are lacking in substance. Their structure seems confusing, their focus on customer service is blurred.
At this point GAP are an impediment to the success of this installation and I am forced to go around them to their suppliers
and either foot the bill myself or take legal action.
I can only say I am glad that I was not fitting out a client's house as this would be a highly embarrassing and damaging affair.
10 Year Warranty Honoured 2 Days From Expiring
After a couple of initial discussions and 9 years and 363 days into my 10 year warranty, GAP kindly agreed to replace my Rock front door due to cracking. Service and communications from the Customer Resolutions Office at Blackburn was first rate as was the professionalism of the fitter. Very pleased indeed! Many thanks to GAP / Rock Doors.

If I could give less than 1 review I would, pathetic excuses, supplying incorrect goods. Bathroom window ordered with 4 satin glass panels, arrived with one satin glass and the rest clear normal glass in a bathroom.... what possessed them, would I recommend absolutely not. Has it been replaced yet, no. still waiting & waiting & waiting

I had 2 windows replaced in summer 2020. In October when the temperature dropped, I noticed that one the windows didn't shut properly. Contacted the builder who's been trying to get the faulty part replaced. Spoke with him again today and despite Gap agreeing to make a correct part to rectify their poor work months ago, he's still waiting for that part. Bad workmanship and worse customer service.
Because of them, I'll have to get another firm to replace the windows and then invoice the builder although it's not his fault.

I have been waiting for a delivery for days now. When I telephone I cannot get anyone to answer the phone so I went to the office. I was told that the driver was I'll and that my delivery would be possible this afternoon or first thing in the morning .I telephoned today and was told that the driver was instructed to deliver today Friday and if he gets back in time he would deliver this afternoon .If he does not deliver today it will be Monday as they do not deliver on Saturdays .I have now been waiting for 4 days and having to pay for extended use of scaffolding .I will not recommend gap to any of my customers in future as although the product is good the customer service is not.

Similar story to others when ordering online. First order part delivered then 2nd part went missing, had to reorder. Thought oh well it happens. Ordered again last week for del Wed/Thur, late Thursday phoned to chase told its coming in two parts! Asked head office what's coming 1st so I can plan job, couldn't tell me. Few more daft emails from them making very little sense. Eventually a battered box turned up with a few items. Told Tufnell del till 6pm. Still no del 2days later and now it's the weekend so I'm hoping it will be next week. The online ordering is a joke and the customer service follow up is also.

Gap plastics great if you want a Facia board but that is were it ends .Door and window products worst quality control I’ve ever experienced and as for back up if you have a problem which are on 95% of jobs I’ve received over 12 months don’t hold your breath.

Awful service. The guys in the shop are great but always understaffed and unable to fulfill expectations.
The head office is a JOKE!!!! Ive been chasing complaints and orders for 3 months!!! I have one poor customer who hasn't had doors for months and isnt likely to have them for another 2 months because their systems dont work. Very sad
Online order of guttering and fascia
Ordered various guttering and fascias online which stated 2-3 day delivery. Only part of my order was delivered on time with no notification. The rest of the order I am still waiting for, and don't know when I'll receive it. This has delayed my building project. Would never use this firm again.

the product itself seemed secure, but after 3 years, developed a fault that could not be fixed by an end user. The company, despite promising overnight service left us with our front door unlockable for a full week without any concern for safety. their depots do not answer their phone, their head office do not care. Avoid at all costs!
