After 15 months of being on the market with other estate agents and no luck and feeling drained, Gilbert & Rose were our final option before we gave up and it was hands down the best decision we could have made which we wish we just went with them from the very start. From the very start we’ve had nothing but full transparency and constant communication from start to finish I can’t fault them at all. We’ve only been with them 2 months and we’ve had continuous viewings with feedback straight away, a special thank you to Chiana and Ryan and the rest of the G&R team who have been outstanding in selling our home so quickly. I knew you would be the best of the best & you really did not let us down at all. Although I’m elated our home has sold on the flipside I’m sad I won’t have an excuse to chat to Chiana! After having our offer of the full asking price accepted on the property we wanted to buy, we were very disappointed to then be 'gazumped' and have to pay an extra £10,000 over the asking price. Having said this, after that Michelle was always very helpful when we had any questions and came back to us promptly and cheerfully.

My sisters and I were selling the house of our late Father which was emotional and distressing for us as it had been our family hub for getting on for 60 years. We cannot thank Michelle Birrell enough for helping us over the line with a particularly pedantic solicitor on the other side. Michelle was the ultimate professional, but still kind, and caring towards us at this difficult time in our lives. First time moving in 32 years so was cautious as house moves are reported as being stressful. Our first time dealing with Gilbert & Rose who were the Agents dealing with the property we went to view. From that first viewing the team to whom we dealt with was very professional. Our needs were met also using Gilbert & Rose as our selling agent so we had a clear avenue of communication which lead to a quick and stress fee sale and purchase. Special thanks to our Sales Progressor Leanne Warren for her experience and skill in making a smooth transition throughout, liaising between all the parties to make sure everyone were aware of the paper trial with close contact leading to the exchange and completion.

Not that I plan to move anytime soon but I would recommend Gilbert & Rose to help you buy or sell your property.

Where do I start? We opted to move to G&R after issues with a well known Canvey Island estate agent (also with a yellow sign), who struggled to follow the basics of selling. My wife and I had come across G&R after contacting them regularly about various houses we had seen for sale in Rayleigh. Out of all the estate agents we had spoken to, they were the most polite, approachable and responsive. When we decided to try a new agent, we decided to go with G&R based on our experience as a potential buyer. Fathom came round to explain everything to us and with her Essex charm - won us over and we signed on the dotted line. We were then assigned Amie who would be our sales agent, who put her heart and soul into selling our home. She was clear to potential buyers what our selling points were and even pulled potential buyers along who had not seen our property listed. Due to one of our rooms being an awkward shape, we had a lot of disappointment finding a buyer, but Amie kept positive and kept pushing, eventually finding the right buyers for us. Amie was a gem and she made our sale experience perfect. Once Amie's work was done, Phoebe then took over with sales progression and she really earnt her money with our exchange, because we did not have an easy time due to solicitor issues and various other issues. She was amazing, kept us fully informed and did not give misinformation or false hope like other estate agents were doing with their clients. G&R were somewhat more pricey than other estate agents in the area, however I really feel you are getting your monies worth here. Great onboarding, great sales rep and great sales progressor. Thank you G&R for being the one thing we could rely on in our sale!

I had the fortunate chance of having the best “after care” I have ever received when buying/selling my property. From the minute Claire Skilbeck rang to say she would be looking after my sale, she went above & beyond to get me through the stressful process. She was absolutely brilliant & literally got me through it by making numerous calls & taking the stress out of it. I can’t thank her enough & she is an absolute credit to Gilbert & Rose. Thank you so so much Claire & I would definitely sell my home again if Claire was involved!!! Fantastic service & care!!! I was so impressed with the care Claire gave.
