Mathew was such a great help! Had a couple of burning questions about the MSR tents and he was definelty the right person to ask! Knew his stuff and helped me make the RIGHT purchase! All the staff are spot on and definitely know their stuff!

Andrew listened attentively to what would be required of the shoes and was able to direct us to the ones that met many of the specifications. He was very knowledgeable about the stock and identified the best ones to recommend in the price range. I appreciated the fact that there was no obvious pressure to purchase them at any point. Nathan assisted at the till and, since I wore the shoes as I was leaving, took care to make sure that the store alarm wouldn't sound. My partner and I were impressed by the friendliness and the professionalism of both staff. We will return in future for more outdoor goods.

Is there anything Anthony doesn’t know about tents??? He is a credit to the company. We came in today to buy a family tent, he advised us the best one to get, wasn’t pushing us just a completer peace of mind and with the whole experience, also spoke to Julie downstairs about extras for our first camping trip, and again advise off her was brilliant, all round brilliant customer service, but Anthony’s the man, just done a £1200 sale in under a hour,

We were served by Pedro who was friendly, helpful, and informative.

I came into store to buy some shoes for a fundraising challenge in May.

Julie was exceptional! She guided me through the different footwear and made recommendations and shared her knowledge on what to go for.

Andrew and Jeremy were also fab - bringing in their experience of marathon running and hiking to help me out.

Pedro on the till was incredibly polite, jovial, and friendly - he makes a lasting positive impression on an already great customer experience.

I went into browse and ended up buying some mountaineering boots back in January.

Big Thank you to Julie in the shoe/ boot department for allowing me the time to try on both 6.5 and 7 boots a few times and answering the numerous questions I had.

Also thank you for finding me an end of range boot which was more in my price range.

Long wait for the order. The most important item in the order has been cancelled next day. One mere item returned as too big. Refund process started over a month later. Staff very helpful and polite but unfortunately unable to speed the refund up.
Love the stores but that was very negative experience. I don’t think I will make another online order.

If you are after advice about the camping equipment you could not get a better helper than Anthony at the Team Valley store in Gateshead.
He is friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable, giving lots of extra handy hints that the instructions or training simply cannot teach. His wealth of experience and friendly manner leave you with the assurance you were in safe hands. Thank you Anthony, Stu and Sharon
