Very bad and completely unprofessional service. Yesterday, the HBL Ghalla Mandi Chishtian Branch called and invited me to visit the branch for the issuance of a credit card. I traveled all the way there, but when I arrived, they told me they could not proceed because my application had already been declined.
And today, I received another call from the same branch, same number, and the same officer asking me why I didn’t visit the branch. This is ridiculous and shows zero internal communication and no respect for a customer’s time.
For reference, the same branch number that keeps calling me is 063-2508815. This kind of service is completely unacceptable.

After enduring 8 years of frustration, delays, and pure unprofessionalism, I finally decided to close my HBL credit card today and planning to do the same for my account and debit card as well. Every simple request, even something as basic as card replacement, turns into weeks of gaslighting and waiting. Enough is enough.

I deeply regret opening an account with HBL. Their website and mobile app are outdated, slow, and often nonfunctional. Customer service is practically nonexistent — long wait times, no helpful responses, and no accountability.
For a major bank, the overall experience feels completely unprofessional. It’s frustrating to deal with such poor technology and support in this day and age. I would strongly advise others to consider better, more reliable banks instead.

I want to share my recent experience with HBL Ready Cash, so others can stay alert.
Rs. 6325/- & Rs 5800/- twice in a year, were deducted from my account as Ready Cash annual charges without any intimation, consent, or service expiry.
When I contacted HBL helpline, their representative gave contradictory and unprofessional responses, showing no clarity about their own policies.
This shows serious transparency and communication issues within the bank. I have already lodged a complaint (No. C2509250040 dated 25 Sep 2025) and also escalated it to the Banking Mohtasib Pakistan.

Always check your statements carefully.
Don’t allow automatic deductions without confirmation.

I had some money transfered to my HBL account 3 days ago and I still haven't received it. I called the helpline to inquire about it, first of all the customer service agent wasn't have enough etiquettes to speak with a customer, then she didn't know what is the issue, why my hard earned money is still haven't been transferred to my account after a couple of days. It was not a deposit check or something which could take time, it was a simple transfer from another account via mobile app. When you need money urgently and you can't get it for days due to the issues on Bank's end it's pathetic service. What if you had to pay your hospital bill with that money?

First they will keep on misguiding you and when the time is finished they will say sorry it's not possible now. I applied for the car loan thru people's colony branch grw and they wasted my 20 days still no approval even after everything has been verified and I lost the offer of discount from Suzuki. The main culprit is the guy named "ALI" who deals with car loans. He misguides the customer so much!

The worst ever bank in Pakistan, personally experiences a lot of issues in remittances and now they closed my account without intimation. Avoid it and stay away from HBL. The customer care units need training, and they are using unprofessional staff without any knowledge in banking sectors.

Being a oversea Pakistani i would never advice you to use HBL investment facility or account. first their profit rates are very low. Second services are very poor. I personally had a very bad experience i invested about 15 millions in (Halal Amdni Fund)for 9 month and after 9 month they gave me total profit less then three hundred thousand which is less then three %. And my financial adviser from HBL Mr Naveed Tahir very nice man he always gave me false hope. They deduct more then three hundred thousand from my account in one day and that was not (CGT) after couple of dozens of calls and mail i gave up and withdraw my money. Because no body gave me any satisfied answer. where that money gone.

Overseas Pakistani – HBL Closed My Account Without Notice or Reason
I am an overseas Pakistani currently living in the UAE. I had an account with Habib Bank Limited (HBL) which I maintained responsibly. I completed all biometric verifications from abroad, submitted the required documents via email, and followed all procedures as per HBL’s own guidelines.
Without any prior warning — no SMS, no email, no call — HBL closed my account.
I have sent multiple emails to their customer service, branch staff, and even gave them a 3-day legal notice to respond. To this day, there has been no reply. Not even an acknowledgment. This is shocking negligence and disrespect toward customers, especially those living abroad who rely on digital communication.
When I contacted my home branch, they casually said the account was closed due to “low balance.” If that is true — why wasn’t I informed? What kind of bank closes accounts without notifying the account holder?
I have now filed formal complaints with the Banking Mohtasib of Pakistan, the State Bank of Pakistan, and other regulatory authorities. If this is not resolved, I will raise this issue on international forums and media platforms.
If you are an overseas Pakistani or value transparency and respect — be very cautious with HBL.
I never expected such unprofessionalism from Pakistan’s so-called leading bank.
