Been a few times to hickorys today was Terrible, i went with my mom and son, my lad had the burger, me and my mom ordered 2 cowboy steaks well done , must say burger was fine but steaks were terrible, my moms was cremated and mine had blood oozing out of it, so sent mine back to be cooked a little more and i had my moms as she is elderly and there was no way she would of been able to eat it. Waited 20 mins for the steak to come back only rather than cook it just a little more they cremated this one to, she managed to eat some of it, but it was inedible, i asked for manager and asked him how chefs cooked the steaks, he explained flame grilled, so they do get black chargrill bits on them, i said theres chargrilled then theres cremated. He offered my mom something else to eat but she said no as she was totally put off. Also only one steak and size available on menu i find this poor for a smokehouse. Above all steak was not great wont be returning

** update, left a review on trip advisor, got a generic response asking me to contact them via email. Have done so and on the contact us on the website and still no contact. ** Went to Burton Green on Saturday, wake up Monday morning with what I can only assume is food poisoning now after speaking to others that have been recently and looking at the reviews!
I go to Hickory's a lot, not just Burton Green, but it has truly put me off, I don't think i will be returning for a long time and will be warning family and friends.

Me and my partner visited for our 4 year anniversary and were not disappointed. Service was prompt, Neve kept checking on us throughout, no request was too big and she really went the extra mile. She even brought out a happy anniversary board with a free pot of frozen custard which my partner had wanted to try for a while but always felt too full after meals (although when it's free you really do find a small pocket somewhere to shovel it in) so overall thank you Neve, you really made our visit perfect!

Food superb. Service friendly and efficient. What a pity the management aren't competent enough to facilitate two bookings for six in total, made a month in advance and with a specific request, near or next to each other....actually they couldn't have been placed further apart. Come on. Sort yourselves out. It can't be that difficult!

The complete opposite of our last visit a month or so ago. Five different servers, two were rude. Service was very slow, had to look for a server after requesting a dessert menu 15m beforehand. Young fair haired server could teach the others a few things. More mature, dark haired woman [supervisor?] very abrupt & unsmiling. Won't be returning for some time.

Our first visit to our newly opened Hickory’s was fabulous. All staff were very professional and friendly and the food was delicious. We had the meat sharing platter and the beef was mouth watering. Also enjoyed the free warm popcorn we were served whilst waiting for our table and again while we were waiting for our meal. Will definitely be going back for more in the near future. Couldn’t fault anything apart from non of the locks in the cubicles in the ladies actually locked properly and from the outside of the cubicle nobody can tell whether there is anyone inside or not so if they pushed the door open it would be embarrassing for both parties. I did report this to staff and to their credit someone when straight up to check them so I will check when we go back if they’ve been fixed.

CREWE GRESTY GREEN

Poor service by the manager when we complained about the table we were given considering we booked over 7 weeks ago and requested a booth or corner. The table was situated right beside the till in the middle of a walkway for staff which really shouldnt even be there, just squeezed in to make more money. Her response was that the computer decides seating allocation!? Extremely disappointing as it was a family birthday, I could understand it if we had walked in off the street but with 7 weeks notice it was unacceptable. Also I can safely say I have never before had a glass of white wine served with a straw!!! Will never be back

CHESTER - Great food but also great care from the staff and managment esp with all my intolerances. Also added a special touch as it was me and my husbands wedding anniversary. Will defo return it lived up to my expectations and more.

Great quality food! If you’re on a diet, do not go here as you will NOT loose weight! I broke my diet and it was SUPER WORTHIT!

Our service was bad right from the sit down. Not explained if it was table service and not given a children's menu. Waited a while for a staff member to serve us. Forgot our sons order so he had to wait, he was given a free milk shake, and he doesn't like milkshakes! Ordered a drink for him and it was sat waiting on the bar for a while which I could see and had to ask for it. Overall the food was good but very expensive. The dress code stated on the confirmation email is a little confusing. Can't see us returning.

The food is great but what makes them outstanding is the great level of customer care! The staff were really helpful, went out if their way to make accommodations and support me as I have a disability. I definitely recommend the Chester branch.

We visited Hickorys Southport for our Daughter's 18th. We visit frequently and always been brilliant. On this occasion, we felt extremely let down. The place was very quiet and lots of staff. The service was very poor, waitress had a bad attitude rolling her eyes at simple requests. We were 2 separate families, I had paid a £50 deposit which was to come off my bill. 1st simple request was to split the bill. Our waitress rolled her eyes and said this wasn't possible. ( we do this all the time and its never usually an issue). 20 mins in she took our drinks order. 10 mins later she took our food order. The food was amazing and came quite quickly. So the issue wasn't with this. After we finished our food the waitress took 2 plates and the rest were left on the table for 3/4 hr before we requested they were moved. A manager then came over to remove them. In that time my wife requested for the birthday cake to brought out again we waited over 25 mins before making the request again. Very poor. Throughout, not 1 person came over to check on things or ask if we wanted more drinks etc or even ask if we wanted deserts. My wife approached who she assumed was in charge to express our concerns as the level of service has put a damper on our Daughter's special day. He did apologise for the poor service and offered to remove the drinks from our bill. Which I might add were all soft drinks bar 1. Feel totally let down on this occasion. The issue here is not the food, it's the service

Visited hickory’s castle Bromwich for my birthday Great food lovely pleasant staff and managers especially Laura who went out of her way to make us feel welcome and Issac who delivered excellent customer service will definitely be visiting again so thanks guys

Arranged a family gathering, and get together, at the above restaurant. We requested the seating area in the conservatory, but upon arrival were told this was now ‘not available’ and we were seated at the opposite end of the place, in the noisy bar area, shoehorned into a booth with a tv screen in. Had any of the group been interested in French football, that was showing, would’ve been a dream, it wasn’t. People sitting nearby were watching the football on our screen, overlooking us, quickly remedied, I turned it off. This didn’t detract from the accumulated noise of the music, and loud chatter of competing guests in the bar, to be heard over each other.
Added to this, it seems dogs are allowed inside the bar area,after 1800, although some owners were allowing their dogs to sit on the chairs, meant for guests, without any challenge from staff?, being fed, by the owners, next to other guests eating dinners, having a tail wagged over their personal space!. Service was at its usual politeness, and efficiency, and food and portions were ample, with a reasonable price point. The whole evening was tainted by the seat move, without prior notice, and to be seated on the noisiest part of the restaurant , shows to me that staff didn’t even question the decision for our request for the conservatory area, just an excuse of ‘we’ve got a group of 10 sitting where you requested’ as we were a group of 6, I guess they chose profit over a basic request, which was made weeks in advance. This impacted the extra tip, I always give, on top of their standard charge they add to your bill, as I felt poor planning for seating requested by us, wasn’t even considered. Won’t be back for a while, I’ll head into Liverpool city centre for alternate BBQ restaurants , as they , in the past have honoured seating requests impeccably.

Staff were amazing friendly and welcoming- as a lone female dinner I felt comfortable with no issues
Food and service was excellent

We had a family table booked for my Son to celebrate his 21st birthday at the Worcester venue. From the minute we walked in the door we were met by Amy - our hostess. She attended to our every need and was amazing. She made great suggestions and even gave my Son the chance to make his own Birthday Cocktail. He loved it ! Amazing Customer Service. It was so busy with other people that night and she did her utmost to make sure we all had a great night. Thankyou so much

Went with family to Hickorys Worcester for Fathers Day. From the moment we got there, we were made so welcome. Service was superb and food was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere is awesome. Can't wait to go back.18

Use Hickory’s regularly in Summer months, I know because of the weather they are busy but that gives them no excuse to be lax in their attitude to service.
I work in the industry and know ALL the Food Hygiene Regs I can pull this Restaurant on a fair number of breeches.
