The new policy is a joke, can only go for 6 minutes, 7 minutes signing a waiver. The sunbeds aren’t great as it is,12 minutes doesn’t affect me never mind 7. Overpriced sunbeds with terrible policies, won’t be back when my course is finished!

I use indigo sun in Hemel Hempstead. I can’t believe the reviews below because the staff at Hemel are always friendly, efficient and helpful. I have never lost any minutes no matter how long I have had them. The whole shop is spotlessly clean, the beds are the best I have ever been on. Love this place and the fantastic people that work there 10/10 5 stars definitely.

Considering indigo sun is a Scottish run family business 😳 let’s hope you have more family values than how you treat your staff in England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 maybe you don’t know you have the wrong people under you 😳 something has gone wrong as you should treat your staff how you would like to be treated ✊they are not robots 🤖 and have a personality ✊believe it or not customers actually like it 👍 after all they do pay your profits 💰 sorry wages ✊ let’s do a 360 degree feedback and make that change 👌

Just try phoning the Falkirk branch for a price of a 60 minute block course ( price list is in front of them on a plaque) "Busy at the moment, you'll have to come in and ask"...... Customer service is so poor I won't be back!

Awful customer service!
Bought a course and due too illness I didn't get to use all my minutes quickly enough. The shop wrote off 45 mins that I had left of my course !

The few times I was able to attend I had to wait 30 mins. And then they would only let me go on for 6 minutes at a time .

Explained my situation, was told to email Head Office. HO were useless, no empathy or care for my situation. Said if I'd let they no about my illness before the course expired they could have helped, my course literally ran out a few days ago! What a Ridiculous system!

Never again! Total rip off!

I bought a block of minutes and have 39 minutes left but aren't able to use this salon no longer and basically i lose the minutes as i cant transfer them to use at another branch.
head office a joke as when phoned asked me to put on email and then tell me its non transferable.

I am not always In the area so I use other sun beds but the last few times I’ve been I’ve been told I can’t go for any more than 6 or 9 minutes. I have black hair and have been going for sun beds for 11 years , I now have to go to another Sunbed shop to get what I want, I’m very annoyed and I won’t be back, this is the 3rd time I’ve had to go else where for a sun bed. I offered to sign a risk of burning form which other sun beds allow but indigo sun Doesn’t . Absolute joke?!

Avoid working here!!! Management are vile! Area manager and full time staff member bullied members of part time staff on multiple occasions. When confronted about their actions all they could do was laugh.
Multiple sexual comments were made by a customer and when bought to the managers attention the member of staff was told to just get use to it. Totally unacceptable!! Cameras are watched obsessively and microphone under desk is listened to repeatedly even for private conversations which is not stated in our contracts. Management wouldn’t let you sit down at all during 5+ hour shifts and stuck paper to the chairs saying “absolutely no chairs out in shop floor!” (Other shops are allowed to sit on chairs, but not Sheldon??) Favouritism by both full time staff and management has caused a divide between the staff, never once got treated fairly or equal! Yet they wonder why they can’t keep the staff? Head office was emailed multiple times and nothing was ever done or acted upon!!! AVOID WORKING HERE.

Manager and area manager bullied members of part time staff who were under the age of 20! When confronted all they could do was laugh whilst this member of staff was told to deal with it and ultimately effected her mental health!! I Was told members of staff could not sit down on chairs behind the till during 6+ hours even when serving as little as 30 people during the whole shift, this included a girl who was pregnant.
Managers would get you to come in early to shifts without reason so that they could leave early.
All staff members were treated differently and favouritism is definitely a word I would use to describe the relationships between managers and some part time staff.
Was not given breaks even though I was working over 6 hours which effectively breaks the law!!
Absolutely disgusting I would not recommend and would stay far away from this business as a whole.
When head office was contacted nothing was done on the matter!!!

Stealing peoples money just because they could not go there in there time scale bad business would not give them any more money ever

Disgusting. I had surgery which doesn't allow me to use sunbeds for 4-6 months. Requested extension on minutes I purchased in advance but refused even that I showed proof of surgery!! Rude customer service. Cannot get response for weeks! Stay away guys treatment is absolutely disgusting. Also beds are never cleaned between customers all sticky from someone's sweat. Which I did complained before. And that was ignored also. I have proof of email received from indigo sun to back up this review. I've found different sunbed else where and it's so much cheaper and more friendly and lady went to clean bed after me straight away.

I worked as a salon assistant at the Kings Heath salon since August 2022 and did well in this job - always hitting sales targets, getting on well with customers and coworkers, etc.

Only recently I, alongside one other salon assistant, got sacked for coming forward to the manager to make a complaint about one of our coworkers for being unprofessional and rude.

We were both told we were being let go for not being 'proactive' enough but we know this isn't the case.

In short, in the entirety of my working experience, I've never witnessed management be so poor, unprofessional, and disorganised. If you value the staff wherever you take your business, avoid here...

3 days late using up my regularly renewed bundle, my £52.00 credit is gone. I’m gob smacked.. “plenty other salons around” cheers, indigo sun

Went in to use my £30 I had previously credited to my account today and told they have expired and wiped my account clear !!! How can you just removed credit with out providing the minutes bought? I have never had an expiry on any sunbeds credit bought before and this is theft!!! Head office response was as rude as the staff in the birchwood store
DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY!! PURE THIEVES AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! ITS EMPTY FOR A REASON AS THEY TAKE MONEY THEN WIPE YOUR ACCOUNT WHEN YOU DONT USE THEM QUICKLY ENOUGH AND SAY THEY HAVE EMAILED YOU AND HAVENT

I visit the Milton Keynes Lloyds court yesterday and as it was my first time I had a good visit very friendly staff and very helpful
I will definitely be going back

DONT USE THIS COMPANY!
Like many others I have used other tanning shops that have been local to me and minutes have never expired. I moved areas and bought minutes at the Indigo sun in Shiremoor Newcastle over a year ago. During this period I have suffered a miscarriage and then was blessed to fall pregnant again. My baby is now a few months old so I thought I’d treat myself to a bit of me time and go use the minutes I had of the 45 minutes I had left. However was told I would have to book another course as mine had expired. Staff member had no empathy it was pretty much buy more minutes or a course.
This company need to sort out their customer service and look after their customers. The last thing I have time to do is check their ‘terms and conditions’ when going through the above. Would rather travel further afield and use my local tanning shop that doesn’t rip you off

Management need to really sort out there evening staff the girls on the shifts are ruid , brupt have no time for making there customers feel welcome I have never felt so uncomfortable in all my life , I have bought many courses creams spend more than enough to have at least a polite hi or something… These young girls have no respect and need to learn customer communication sadly I will be leaving and I use to take family and friends but even they agree to leave as ur staff need to be changed before we ever bring back our custom seriously very upsetting but no person should feel uncomfortable when they walk into ur shop

I visited an inverness salon and what I witnessed was beyond belief! Young girls being bullied, shamed infront of other customers by either a supervisor or manager. The salon never has a consistent manager running the salon, instead under 18 year olds are operating the salon at night by themselves, handling large amounts of money, cleaning and dealing with abusive customers with no help and protection in the salon. I witnessed a male coming into the salon and screaming at a young girl, she was frightened and there was no other members of staff for back up, I hate to think what would of happened, had customers had not been in the salon! When you ask to speak to management your told by the employees their in Aberdeen or Glasgow! Apart from this concerns the salon is well cleaned hygienically and there is two young girls who have excellent customer service, one was a young girl aged 17 very polite. Management skills in customer and employee care are needed, very poor management organisation.

Rude management and staff
I bought 4x60 minutes (because of been on offer) before lock downs and they expired the minutes. They said the minutes was extended but they wasn’t extended enough to cover all lockdowns. LIES. The email reply was basically 1 year is enough to use 60 minutes. Erm I had over 200 minutes and was in locked down for a year. I wouldn’t buy extremely overpriced sun creams from here as found at half the price at all other sunbed shops.
this place is EXPENSIVE there is many cheaper places (half the price) owned by your local people AND YOUR MINUTES WILL STAY THERE FOREVER, SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL COMMUNITY NOT THESE SCAMMERS OUT TO GET WHAT THEY CAN

Mansfield
Never used sunbeds before and was hoping to get some relief from my flared up psoriasis. The girls are nice enough but I was told to use their new collegan beds if im not bothered about getting a tan and these have no UV. Stupidly bought a 60min package, went in the next week for my first session and probably won't be going back. Had a less than 1min run through of how the bed worked, explained i was advised to use a bed with collagen lamps and not UV to then be told the bed also has UV. Felt quite nervous tbh but no one seemed interested in helping more, its quite a daunting thing if you've never used one before. Sadly they seem more interested in just signing you up, no real knowledge of people who suffer with chronic skin issues. I used lotion but burnt myself, 6mins was too long on their suggestion.

Anyway, the girls are nice but more customer care is needed here and I would not recommend for psoriasis or ezcema issues. Will be hiring a hospital grade UVB narrow band light to use at home.
