just a heads up really.
the gates you order will not look like the glossy web site pictures.
my gate arrived put together with any bits and pieces that came to hand. i have no idea what other reviewers are talking about. the gate is terribly made, not symmetrical, gaps everywhere, pins coming through missed batten, gaps, screw holes and rough wood.
just be aware that the pictures are nothing like what you’ll receive.
the website says handmade craftsmanship.. what a joke

Shocking experience from delivery to return. Ordered 3.6m x 1.8m driveway gates via B and Q. Terrible quality of wood, shoddy workmanship and nothing like images on site. Basically looked like fence panels with supports attached at back. Requested a return or substantial deduction of initial cost to be refunded. Customer service were curt, rude and didn’t care at all. Would not pick up so we had to return to B and Q. They were not impressed as do not normally accept large items back from 3rd party sellers. Also agreed gates were not good. End of the day not a good look for B and Q to sell sub standard products.
** Having read your reply to this review it is laughable how different your ‘tone’ is on this platform. There was certainly no apology in our exchange of messages following delivery. You were curt, verging on arrogant . I have no need to further contact you as we have had our refund thanks to B&Q.

Very well made , good service and staff helpful

Beware - this is a dodgy company! I bought a gate from them using B&Q marketplace. I immediately contacted them for a refund or replacement as the gate was so poorly put together it couldn't be used - whole panels not nailed together. And damaged in multiple places. After weeks of emails, the company have been trying to negotiate a partial refund of 30% then 50%. After B&Q getting involved and telling them they had to give a full refund, they said they would, only if we paid a 90 pound fee for collecting the faulty item or driving it myself to B&Q. B&Q have confirmed that even if I could drive the item to their store, that they will not accept it as it needs to be taken back by MD carpentry. I will now be going to the small claims court.

The driveway gates are sturdy, built well, and will certainly do the job. They're a little rough at the edges, where sawn wood has not been planed/smoothed down, needing a touch-up from us. Their couriers delivered with no problems.

Needed my gates urgently and delivery was quick! They did not disappoint.

Terrible customer services. Ringing the number puts you through to a call centre of generic answers "please wait till the end of the week for an update".
Haven't recieved a single email from md carpentry since placing the order. Delivery times are miles off on the website and no one seems to care. Definitely would not recommend this company.

They claim this is defamation... this IS NOT AND I CAN AND WILL PROVE WHAT I SAID IS FACT! READ CAREFULLY!

I commented my review as I told this company I would! They replied with false claims trying to say that they had sent the correct gates and all the orders show this! Please not if anyone would like to see the evidence I have comment and I can send it through! They are Liars! Not only this but after my comment they tried to report it and claim it contained illegal content and threats!

These people are scamming people! They are doing so knowingly and trying their hardest to cover their backs! Its acctually disgusting! When we pay for something we expect it to come as it should and we expect to get what we pay for! With these YOU DONT!

AVOID these 'exceptional carpenters' at all length they are not what they say they are and their standards are absolutly shocking. As I say i have EVERYTHING to back up what happened! I can prove that to anyone who wants the information and are looking at purchasing through these people!

Shoddy products, absolutly disgusting customer service, vile lies and false reports!
I WILL BE REPORTING THESE TO TRADING STANDARDS! THIS IS WRONG!

P.S. MD CARPENTRY WORKSHOP LTD you do not get to lie, con and rip people off and then further report false claims trying to hide what your doing! Doesnt work like that!
