Hunter from The Mobile Shop in Superstore Metrotown location in Burnaby was so helpful and kind! It was an outstanding experience purchasing my new phone with the help of Hunter from start to finish. He was very welcoming, patient and incredibly knowledgeable. He was in full smile while processing my purchase and requirements. He thoroughly explained the importance of phone features, plans, prices in a clear and honest way. It didn't make me feel rushed or pressured. He patiently answered every single quesion with genuine care. Im extremely grateful for his outstanding service and would highly recommend him to anyone looking to purchase a phone. Hunter is the best! It's rare to encounter someone who maintain such consistent, excellent service over nearly two decades. It was nice to meet him again after all these years and finally get a new phone from him. After 19 years since buying my very first phone from him, it was super great experience and receiving the same excellent service again.

I don't normally do reviews. But after placing my order, I read the reviews on here and panicked, I thought that there was no chance I get my phone and contract. However I ordered my s25 ultra and 24 month o2 contract on Saturday and the order progressed smoothly and now on Monday my phone is arriving. So don't panic if you have places an order.

Just stay away from mobile shop,I'm a full time employee from last 2 plus decade's,Earn over 60k every year,Monthly direct debit- Mortgage Car Financial-Insurance-plus life insurance-3 mob contract for family yet declined my order,Reason given poor credit history,How on earth Mobile shop can rate me like this,A terrible company all I suggest to stay away from them.

AVVOID. Awful service, phone purchased through Samsung, Mobile shop complete the order. Mobile shop made a compete mess of the order, they claimed my bank details were false, tried all my accounts, same result. Referred to IT, nearly 2 weeks later and a dozen calls through them they then claimed that O2 had rejected it as I already had a contract with them, which I didnt. Ended up cancelling the order, they wouldn't even acknowledge or deal with my complaint. AVOID

After placing my order, I came across many negative reviews, and was regretting ordering Samsung s25 ultra and O2 contract. But I needn't have worried as it all went like clockwork for me, I have my new phone and I am busy setting it up now. So not a scam and all good for me.
I decided to write this review as I'd seen all the negative ones.

Absolutely terrible, incorrect contracts on Samsung site affecting users credit history

Lie when they ring up. I bought a phone on Samsung store, no mention that the O2 contract offered was nothing to do with Samsung. Last I heard from Samsung is that the deal is cancelled but no news on how the money I paid upfront is being refunded. very concerned with why they needed my bank statement when they say their system doesn't recognise the account details as valid . reporting them to Fraud office after Christmas

Sadly an all too clear pattern of tales of woe as those before me.

Essentially an unfulfilled order for a new phone from Samsung.com and money taken for the handset but no handset. The network operator (o2) have my DOB down wrong and MobileShop have provided the correct one (apparently) but as they dont match they can't complete my order so I'm in limbo - no ability to change the DOB or address things with o2 (who are no help here same as MobileShop).

Why Samsung are using a company that can't provide a good service is beyond me. Still out of pocket and awaiting a refund.....

Was worried if I made mistake. Nearly cancelled it.
But very pleased with everything
Checks done same day
Phone arrived next day
O2 network activated day after
Phone number transferred on second working day
Had text message every evening saying what's happening next day
Very pleased

Same as others, ordered phone and o2 contract through Samsung. Mobileshop get involved and the order stalls,
Samsung support say jts o2,
o2 know nothing.
Apparently I should have a verification email from mobileshop, but nothing received.
No way to contact mobileshop.
Not hopeful of ever getting the phone.
Really shouldn't have to spend a week chasing a phone.
Just a very stressful waste of time.

Declined me for no reason, my credit score is perfectly fine, samsung please get rid of this silly side company mobileshop, proper useless

I thought I had a good Samsung deal, until I got rejected with no explanation. I have excellent credit score, fuming.

Scammers! They put a deal to attract attention and then make up excuses to avoid going through with the order. Ordered the O2 Deal for samsung s25 ultra and i have apparently failed security checks with my credit score of over 1000! Worst company to deal with. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Absolute shambles. Got a perfect credit score never missed a payment in my life. Can provide id etc proof of occupation the lot but still failed security. Easier to get a mortgage than getting a phone on contract. Ordered via samsung website direct. But they use these cowboys.

Ordered and upfront payment for phone on Samsung.com, for o2 contract. Response from Mobilephoneshop com saying security checks and send photos of front/back driving licence, which I did. Heard nothing for 6 days, with order showing as order acknowledged. Contacted Samsung.com who said would look at and respond in 24 hours. 48 hours later contacted them again and informed order cancelled, nothing to do with Samsung, blame mobileshop. No contact made with me so wonder how long it would have been. Don't order from them
UODATE. Now 8th Dec and despite numerous emails/chat still not resolved nor money returned.

Shocking service. Won't deliver your phone and hard to get in contact with.

Worst Mobile Shop in Canada!

Experience was not too hard, They did flag the order for a "id check". The link was sent via text to a online portal, Pretty easy and straight forward.

After about 2 hours of doing said check, The credit check was passed, Phone was dispatched shortly after.

MAKE SURE: You call them to get the link for ID check sent to you & Make sure your DOB is correct otherwise it will auto decline.

Order through Samsung cancelled for “information not provided”. All information was provided including through follow up link. Samsung support were unhelpful in resolving the issue.
Both Samsung and Mobile shop seem to be incompetent. Avoid.

Bought a mobile through Samsung online. Was going to be contracted to O2. Then this company contact me. I got the email saying my order was on hold and that I should ring O2 for a credit check on 0800 9777793. I rang the number and they wanted my passport and driving licence details. They did not sound very professional either. I phoned O2 on a number I found on their website and they told me this number was not an O2 number and it was a scam. Cancelled my order with Samsung straight away. Why are they selling through this broker which was not made clear during the buying process? If you've found this review by googling the number, I suggest you do the same. Looking at the reviews on here it seems like I did the right thing.
