Wish I'd checked these reviews before…

Wish I'd checked these reviews before ordering :( Just lost an hour of my life dealing with the most UNBELIEVABLY complicated returns process (for an international return) which is going to cost me a ton of money, for a bunch of shoes NONE of which fit me. I get that shoes are hard to buy online, but the sizing just seems mad. I really wouldn't have bothered ordering if I knew what a nightmare it would be to deal with the returns process. I don't think these guys are ready to do international ecommerce, particularly since their sizes are all over the place. Don't get distracted by the cuteness (they are cute, if over-priced), it's not worth the misery.

ETA: It took TWO MONTHS to get my refund back, and only when I chased them through online chat. Refund was then issued almost immediately. Was the intention to hope I'd forget about it and not pursue my refund? Such a shame. I love the aesthetic of this brand and the values of multi-size models etc but it just seems they're woke on the surface and shady underneath.

I just had a baby four months ago

I just had a baby four months ago, so my sizing is everywhere. I had to order from ModCloth 3x to realize NONE of their clothes are going to fit me right at this time (I’m 5’4 and 143lbs atm) and I should just wait to order anything else, since again I’m at order # 3 that I’m waiting on a refund… my problem is I sent my first order back right away September 6th and haven’t heard ANYTHING BACK FROM MOD CLOTH… i have over 1000k in money waiting on returns and I’m TERRIFIED MODCLOTH ISNT GOING TO HONOR IT.. I can’t get someone to help me or reassure me I’ll get refunded.. I have my FedEx receipts but nothing from ModCloth…

Ugh this place

Ugh. The stuff on Modcloth always looks so cute, but I find the quality isn't always there. Also, the sizing can be way off. BUT what happened this past week was really over the top - I returned a dress and was only given a partial refund. I've been trying to reach someone in customer service to sort out what happened, but no one will get back to me. Literally been trying for a week to talk to someone. BEWARE OF SHOPPING HERE.

Can't find return shipping label

Edit: Although they don’t answer their phone, chat, or email, I was able to get the help I needed from the reply to this review. +1 star. Seriously, staff your customer service better so we don’t have to resort to using trust pilot in the first place.

I am unable to find my shipping return label in the returns portal. When I click "print returns slip" all that comes up is the packing slip and not the shipping label. When I click the tracking number below, all that comes up is fedex's website with the message "No record of this tracking number can be found at this time, please check the number and try again later. For further assistance, please contact Customer Service." please help!

Extortionate shipping prices

I've tried several times to buy blouses from Modcloth but I always stop once I get to the shipping price. In which universe does it take $9.99 (standard shipping) to ship a thin blouse within the US? It's extortionate compared to other online sites. 'Free' shipping if you spend $125 is NOT free shipping.

Shein fabric and quality for 100% more

The fabric is so cheap!! And it’s made in China. Probably from the same factory as shein! Not to mention none of their sizes are accurate and they’re expensive as hell. Not worth your money at all!!!

Modcloth still has cute stuff and great…

Modcloth still has cute stuff and great sales and discounts, it's just a lot of trial and error, I hope they don't hate me haha I have to return a lot due to the sizing being off, even when I read the chart. It's super hard to find a well-fitting garment.

Customer Serivice Difficulties

Edit: After submitting this review I was given my refund and notified by text within 15 minutes. Still no answers to my calls or emails or chats. Items are mailed promptly and of good quality.

No one answers the phone, I'm on hold for hours. I've sent 2 emails weeks ago and no replys. I tried to use the chat feature on the website but it says no one is available. I just wanted my return to be processed that I mailed back a month ago. Disappointed and wont be shopping here again.

I purchased from this company and I just got it in today and it wasnt what I ordered they send me a wallet instead of what I purchased and I have the reciept to what I purchased and I called customer service nobody answers their phone doesnt matter what time of the day I call nobody answers. And I live in the eastern time zone. And nobody I mean no body I get a recording someone be with you shortly. This isnt right for them to send me a wallet that isnt what I ordered.. and charged my credit card the amount of what i purchased for the wallet. Something isnt right here I want what I purchased.

I’ve been shopping with ModCloth for…

I’ve been shopping with ModCloth for about 10 years. I remember it being pricey, but the pieces were of such good quality that it was justifiable. I still have and wear a few pieces I got about 8/9 years ago because they’re still in great shape. This has changed significantly in recent years. I’ve noticed a tremendous decline in quality over the last couple of years. In my last order, the pants buttons came off after one wear. The pants are of a strange material that doesn’t wash/dry well. The heels of the boots I purchased came off after two wears and I had to take them to a cobbler to be fixed. The other pair of pants were fine. Nothing too special, fit fine though. Coupled with the angry feminist messages, I’ve lost my interest in shopping with them. Not every woman wants shirts about feminism, wine, or cats. I wish you guys didn’t become fast fashion. It’s a shame.

customer service doesnt care

Ive been trying to get a hold of customer care because the website wont let me into my own account. I have the right email and password but it still wouldnt let me in. even when I asked for a password reset I'll enter my email and it will lead me right back to the home page. this truly irritates me because I've been buying from Mod cloth ever since they had a pop up in L.A. so again, no responses back and cant use my account. sad

I used to love Modcloth

I used to love Modcloth; I have so many pieces from them that I wear on a daily basis. The quality has never been perfect, but nothing in this last order fit well. All of the dresses I ordered were too big or too small, weren't proportioned right, had bad stitches, had no lining in lightweight fabrics, or had no pockets. I had to go out of my way to get them to issue me my refund, even though they've had my returned items for 12 days! Between this, the website losing customer information and faves, and no longer being able to exchange items instead of returning them, I will NEVER shop here again.

Good customer service

Good customer service, good products for the price. Cotton dresses are not the best quality. But they returned my money in the minute I complained about the quality.

They do not refund you!

Don’t shop here if you are looking for a website where returns are easy. The customer service phone calls here are not functioning- NOBODY picks up the call. If you email them, they do not respond to your email about the status of returns until they receive a dispute you open with your credit card company.

I returned two orders, and they received both returns based on the FedEx tracking they provided at least a month or 20 days ago, and so far, I have not received any refunds from them. I disputed the charges, and they wanted me to drop my dispute first before refunding me- even though they knew they could refund me first and tell the bank that the dispute is resolved.

This used to be a good website, but currently it is a terrible online retailer.

So disappointed in this company which I…

So disappointed in this company which I used to dearly love. :( I made a purchase in mid-May and ended up needing to exchange the sizes on two items. Sent them back as instructed by ModCloth and received correct sizing, but I was charged twice in the process and am still awaiting a refund for the original items that didn't work out. They have had the returned items since Monday, June 14th and still no refund. I've been given the same excuses when I talk to customer service and have had quicker refunds issued through companies like SHEIN, which are based in China. So ridiculous! Customer service just provides the same generic answers each time and doesn't really help you.

Between losing all of their customers' saved favorites and data, reviews going away, and the customer service issues I've encountered, I really wish they would get their act together. Been a long-standing customer of ModCloth but this has really soured them as a company for me. :(

I ordered something over a week ago and…

I ordered something over a week ago and i have received no communication from ModCloth with shipping information. I went to check on the website and they expect you to download an app to track shipping? Why make it hard for your customers to do basic things like shipping? 0/10 do not recommend. This will be my last order with ModCloth as their clothes are too cheaply made for the hassle. I can get better clothes cheaper and faster pretty much everywhere else on the internet.

First and last order with ModCloth

I placed an order on April 28, 2021. It shipped and arrived. I didn't like the pieces and emailed, called, and chatted to return. Over 10 days of no response, I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge. Finally, someone emailed me and said they were really sorry and overloaded. As well, that someone else would contact me about the RA. I am sensitive to being overworked, but you can't run a business this way and I'll never return.

Who is in charge of this company???

Very disappointed with Modcloth. Horrible customer service!!! I have been trying to see about returning an item I purchased and cannot seem to get a response from anyone. I have tried contacting them by email and by phone and through the online chat option, and have gotten nowhere. Please honor your words and directions that you have placed on your website and let your customers be able to contact you. You should have the decency to respond back.
