Poor Service, Ignorant Manager

Recently was issued a rewards coupon and so called wondering about the past ones. They say they can’t reissue nor issue a new coupon. I had $25 rewards expired due to landing probably in the spam folder. I’ve spent thousands at OReilly’s over the last decade. No cares about customer loyalty.

But it doesn’t end there. The manager at my O’Reilly’s told me he makes a mistake every day. He sold me the wrong set of 20 lugnuts and had the audacity to be mad about him having to warranty them because they all got totaled by my foot. No concern that my wheels could have popped off because the lugnuts kept loosing. I was commuting 150 miles daily and tightening them every 75 miles until a mechanic told me I was sold the wrong lugnuts. Ignorance is not an excuse, it’s a choice.

Your Mobile 1 engine oil and Delco AC…

Your Mobile 1 engine oil and Delco AC filters are completely out of line with competitors. Your Mobile 1 engine oil is $10.00 for 5 quarts higher that Walmart. And your AC Delco oil filters are $6.00 more expensive than Walmart. Talk about price gouging. I think this is exactly what it is.

When I was stranded out of town in Omaha, Conner went above and beyond any reasonable expectation to get me and my daughter back on the road and home safe that night. We had already waited 5 hours for a tow truck that wasn’t coming. He not only knew what was wrong, he knew how to fix the problem and did it with a very humble and generous attitude. And I am so grateful!! . His kind of dedicated service and kind heart is what is missing in the world today. Every business needs someone like him!

Incompetence at its worst

Incompetence at its worst. (Best?) Screwed up the simplest of transactions and they couldn’t have cared any less. I ordered a … brace yourself… can of spray paint. Paid for in-store pick up. Got email saying “ order ready for pick up.” Went there, woman couldn’t find it. After searching for it, she then asked me what the item was. She had the attention span of 2 year old, and kept going to do other things. She said maybe it was put in stock. I asked why they would put a paid-for customer item on the shelf. It just arrived. It’s not like I didn’t show up to get it. She said she didn’t process the order. I said I don’t care who processed it, I’m here to pick it up. She said what’s your phone number, I’ll call you later if I find it. I said don’t bother, just give me my money back. It would’ve been impossible for her to have cared any less. It may be a small order, but don’t sell it if you can’t be bothered. Customer service? What?

Help has no clue

I used to go to O'Reilly's because they had employees that understood parts.

Now days, they barely know the difference between a spark plug and a lug nut. Today, lady at the counter barely spoke English and seemed confused about me picking up a "special order" part that came in.

I recently bought bulbs for my back turn signal from O'Reilly's on Laguna Blvd., in Elk Grove, CA. My family helper could not find where to change out the old bulb. So I returned to O'Reilly's. Staff there was very kind to help - did the job in 3 minutes (the bulb was well hidden)! Forgot to get his name - but all the staff there thus far have been very pleasant and helpful. (Same goes for their store on Florin Blvd., in Sacramento, CA, over a number of years - also great staff).

Went to the Oreilly auto parts store…

Went to the Oreilly auto parts store Lincoln City, OR
I had gone to another parts store looking for tail gate lifters (who I had used before) and they did not have my part in store and didn't seem to want to help me find the part I needed. I then went to Oreilly auto (also in Lincoln City, OR). Troy was at the counter when I went in. He greeted me with a smile. Oreilly had the part in I needed. I am a 80 year old woman and asked if he could install they for me. He did so with a smile while making sure the other customers were taken care of. When I am in need of a part in the future I will go back to this store.

Great location

Our location in N. Fort Worth has a couple of guys who do a great job. They care, they research, and they're honest about product and price. I just had an employee direct me to a product elsewhere that was easy to install and cheaper than ordering through them. We love O'Reilly.

Very poor service

Went into the Elko store on 11/20/23. I was at the door the the guy opened it. I said "morning" and he said nothing. In fact didn't say anything the whole time. He stood behind the register just looking at me. I walked up and stood there a few seconds. He just looked at me. I started to say what I was looking for, then I had enough and "never mind, it's not worth it" and I walked out. Went to Auto Zone and received great service!

Do not know his job

Ordered steering pump w/my car vin#MrZ gave me wrong 1.Called& stated I needed 1 w/ sensor.He stated that was the 1 for my car&They did not have 1 w/ a sensor.The Mechanic researched& looked it upGave me the pic& stated it was at there warehouse.I returned it the same day 3 hrs later for a refund.He stated it would be bac on my card end a day.Still No refund the next dayThen he stated it would take 1-3days! I stated I will never buy fro them unless it’s cash & def not Michigan rd location. All other workers Always were able to give me correct parts In past An he act like he had a attitude. Cause he did not know how to research the right part!Either lazy& or do not know how to properly look up the correct part! Still no refund He may not even know how to properly do card returns Never took debit cards this long long to post back to my card! He needs to go back to the store he came from. He def does not knows customer service or what he is doing! I disputed it w/ my bank also.

Stay Away !!!

500% pure store manager laziness & a “I don’t care attitude”. Terrible customer service skills.

I walked in to a totally empty store. I told (1) employee & (1) manager who were standing next to each other about a minor exhaust leak issue.

While I was speaking, the store manager rolled her eyes while staring at her cell phone and just walked away without saying a word.

Then a customer walked in…interrupted me and started to have a general conversation with the remaining employee.

The employee raised his finger at me and told me to wait while he walked into a aisle with the customer to help them.

Then the employee came back after about 5 minutes and told me to wait again while he answered the phone.

Finally, he told me to wait once more and walked in the back to look for a part for the customer on the phone.

After waiting over 35 minutes…I left with no answers to my initial question.

BEWARE….there is NO help at the North Olmsted, Ohio store.

Defective Tire Chain…

To those who would consider purchasing Laclede Chain’s tire chains,
My wife purchased a brand-new set of Laclede tire chains from O'Reilly Auto Parts for a brand-new 2020 Ford Explorer. We took a trip to Mammoth Mountain in California in December 2022. On the trip we were required to install and drive on the tire chains. In route to Mammoth one of the tire chains broke and chewed up the felt fender well on our new SUV. Additionally, the remaining tire chain links broke loose and tore up the remaining fender wells.
O'Reilly Auto Parts sold my wife the Laclede tire chains reportedly designed for the 2020 Ford Explorer. However, when confronted regarding the defective tire chains, O'Reilly Auto Parts store employees tried to blame my wife for not purchasing the right size for our SUV. After talking with the store manager, O'Reilly Auto Parts, we were able to get a refund for the defective tire chains. However, we now needed to file a complaint with Laclede Chain to repair the damage to our Explorer that did not even have 6,000 miles on it. The warranty claim was reportedly submitted, but I never heard anything back. I engaged with the O'Reilly Auto Parts store manager on multiple occasions with no updates. Finally, one year later, I must pay for the replacement parts myself, totaling $707 in repairs. All I’ve asked was for Laclede Chain to make it right and to repair the damage to my vehicle, but they were unwilling to try or even contact me regarding the issue. The O'Reilly Auto Parts store manager stopped communicating with me as well.
Therefore, based on their unsatisfactory business practices, I will never buy nor recommend that anyone buy any Laclede Chain products. They are unwilling to standby their product and pushed the cost of their defective tire chains on to their customer, me. Lastly, Laclede Chain may not be solely at fault. O'Reilly Auto Parts should bear some of the responsibility as well for two reasons. First, they may have sold my wife the wrong part, and its employees did not verify the accurate tire chain part number to ensure they were not at fault. Second, the O'Reilly Auto Parts store corporation should carry some form of insurance to protect its customers, while forcing its suppliers to maintain reliable insurance and warranty policies. These items were not reflected in my current dealings with O'Reilly Auto Parts.
Finally, after a year of trying to make it right, I wanted to share my unsatisfactory experience with both organizations. Furthermore, I want to caution anyone in need of auto parts and more specifically tire chains to rethink purchasing items from both O'Reilly Auto Parts and Laclede Chain. There are more reputable organizations that will carry insurances and warranties to protect both their customers and their corporations. I urge anyone and everyone to purchase their automotive needs from those businesses and not O'Reilly Auto Parts and Laclede Chain.

I ordered Pentosin brake fluid from Oreilly’s solely because they indicated they could deliver to store next day by 3:30pm and I needed it for a job. I stopped by the store next day at 6pm…. They did not have my order… I agreed to wait for the next day delivery. They called me next day to inform me that they could not deliver what I already paid for… they would need to special order and I would have to pay additional $10 shipping…. I cancelled order. False advertising screwed me over on timing for my job. Gave them a shot….will never go to Oreilly’s again.

Best in Class

My driver's car seat was ripping, therefore, I knew I needed to purchase a seat cover before it became worse.
Your Account Representative, Troy, was amazing. He guided me to the best seat cover for my car and even put the seat cover on for me. Now that is how you treat a customer, a lady, and an elderly person.
Troy was only helping this location since they were short-staffed. He is from a Gainesville, GA. location. This just goes to show, that he gives his best to O'Reilly's customers.
