Passport received within a week. Easy process to renew with clear directions. I was informed by text and email at every stage which was amazing. I'm very impressed with this service. Excellent.

Exceptional service from start to finish. User friendly online application process. Efficient and clear guidance. Friendly helpful staff at the passport office. Had the fast track appointment on the Tuesday in Liverpool and my son’s passport was in our letterbox by Thursday lunchtime.

An excellent experience applying for a new passport , used post office check and send service to process paper application , passport was with me in under 2 weeks , communication was excellent , text and emails to confirm receipt and progress , if only other government departments were as efficient

Terrible, had to contact them by phone - 30 min wait time each time to be hung up on by the agent 10 mins into discussing the issue

I was informed after few weeks that my foreign passport was needed no where did it have a link or statement that an additional amount of £5 to send it back tracked
So they have sent it 2nd class I was bombarded with text and email for photo not accepted not once did they give the option for tracked delivery.
Now my foreign passport delivery 2nd class I have to postpone the trip as I do not know when I will receive it.i should have been made aware you do not send passport 2nd class I am still waiting.
No passport no trip had to cancel.
I should never have sent it in the first place.
I am worried sick these documents should be handled with more care.

My UK passport had lapsed a few years ago. I thought that trying to renew it would be a difficult procedure but everything worked out very well. The few calls I had to make to passport office were handled very efficiently and the staff members very helpful. A very pleasant experience!! My new UK passport arrived by DHL last week!!

The application was very easy to process and the Passport office kept me informed of the progress at each stage of my application. It took 2 weeks in total to obtain my new passport. I am very impressed with the super efficiency of the team .Thank you very much

Renewal of UK passport. The service was unbelievably fantastic, or shall I say shockingly, fantastic. I applied on a Tuesday, 25th August 2026, posted on Wednedsay, received confirmation of receipt on Thurday, Approval, then printed on Friday new passport received on Saturday morning 29th August, Amazing. Such a quick turnaround. Well done.

This message is only to say I am blown away. I applied for a new passport ‘on line’ that took 5 minutes to complete. Less than 10 days later a smart sparkling new passport was received via tracking RM post. So so efficient and gone are the days when applying for a new passport was nothing but arduous ! I've applied for a passport because i need photo id for getting married next year. My partner has thankfully helped me but turns out when you don't socialise with a doctor or dentist or anyone like that abd you keep yourself to yourself it's really hard getting one. We've had people who work their tell us different things, like they will phone ne to confirm ny identity over phone but after a couple of days we phoned them back and that was a lie. Obe person kept repeating sane questions. Now been told that we can ask a dentist but we needed to explain that i don't socialise with them but they know me f6a couple of years with me going sane dentist. So hopefully this works. Then been told we have until end of September to do this. If we can't we will loose the money we paid as well and can't get married without a passport. Need a provisional driving licence as welll.. Gonna have to change date if wedding because of this. I was born 1984,ny partner 1974,so he doesn't need photo id but he wants it bow especially after what's happened with this. He will have same problem as myself with passport people. Im a British citizen, it should not be like this for getting a passport. Really stressful. I hope getting provisional driving licence isn't like this. Also need photo id for that and most hotels and bed and breakfast want photo id. I'd give zero stars of i could

I use online service so easy to do and get all update got my passport about 9 days I think it's a great service thank you

I changed my names (middle) on 27th July 26, applied to renew my passport on 28th, sent my old passport plus Deed Poll on 3rd Aug (Hemle Hempstead branch) and got a text on 4th acknowladging receipt of my docs. On 11th, I was emailed to say my Deed couldn't be accepted because I'd messed up something, I was sent a link to which document to use, the same one I'd used, this is my only beef with the team, the person who rejected my Deed didn't actually look at it and compared it to the one on the .gov website, they simply "rejected" it. I called and explained that I'd copied word for word the doc I was being advised to use, the operative checked and found that I was right, the Deed was accepted but I was to provide proof of using my new name, I didn't have any. I'd applied for a renewal passport 2 days after changing my name, I didnn't have any other docs with my new name. Someone called me back, she was really nice. I explained the situation to her, she asked if I worked, I said I did, she advised me to go to HR and get a letter from them which was the easiest option, I did. I sent the letter on 13th Aug, it was accepted, I got a text on 17th Aug saying my passport had been approved, 18th Aug text saying my passport was printed and ready for delivery. 19th Aug? My new passport was at my door!
Excellent, fast service but the people who answer the phones are second to none! They have excellent telephone manners, are so helpful and thank you for calling them! As a public servant, I'm left with a lot to learn! My old passport, Deed Poll and HR letter and all back with too.

My wife and I recently renewed our passports online and found every aspect of the service excellent and very easy to use. I just wish all government run services were the same.

Fantastic service from the passport office, applied 20 July expecting 4-6 weeks wait with it being the summer time, received my new passport this week so in just 2 weeks, also received text/emails with updates, excellent service x

I am SO impressed with the whole procedure for renewing my passport. The instructions were very clear and I did the whole thing on line myself including taking the photo. It took 14 days from start to finish and I received email and texts updating me on every step. A brilliant service!

I am having a terrible time trying to get my passport returned to me as it was mistakenly returned to the passport office by the dvla instead of to my home address but today a lovely helpful and very kind lady called Roberta has helped me enormously thank u

Appalling process of verifying identity for a passport application from Australia. Terrible form design led to misreading options, then got locked out of the process altogether. It doesn't event have back buttons! This is the worst online government form I have ever had the displeasure to engage with. There is no excuse for such poor website design and such an inflexible process that takes no account of human factors.
