Pioneer failed to do their due diligence and confirm that I am listed on accounts placed in their program. The joint accounts have not been paid for 8 months by Pioneer and none of the creditors have been contacted. I am being contacted constantly by the joint creditors and now my credit score has decreased from 685 to 510. I called Pioneer to tell them they have unethically impacted my credit and did not have authorization to place my accounts into this program. They refused to help me at all, despite pointing out that I am owner of the accounts. They stated they won't even contact me with a resolution. This is ridiculously illegal and unethical business practices to do this to someone. They have devestated my credit score, and caused me the inability to relocate, make new purchases, or buy a home. They have, LITERALLY, destroyed my ability to start my life over. And, when notified of their role in this, they minimized it and have no desire to appropriately investigate it or resolve it. In order to correct this, I now need to file litigation, thereby causing additional financial distress - which contradicts their desire to help people. Absurd, ridiculous, illegal, unprofessional business practices! They are representing that they represent my accounts. They are telling my creditors they have been hired to handle my accounts. If you represent me, you answer to me. But, they will not help me, but control my credit. This is no different than identity fraud. Fix this!
34 months in the program only to be told it would take an additional 11 months. That is after paying an extra $206 a month for 12 months. We were told at that time the program would be shortened by "3 to 5 months". I have found the company to to be deceptive and dishonest at best. I have to almost harass them to get a return call from "upper management", in the end it will cost us more than $10,000 more than the original contract, but that's just an estimate (sarcasm totally intended)
If I could give Pioneer a negative rating, I would! We are completing the "last" month of our 36 month "program", in which we were led to believe that Pioneer would negotiate settlements for 4 credit cards. I started asking questions 4 months ago about the settlement of a Visa card that was still outstanding, with no response, either by phone or e-mail. Pioneer got 3 of the cards settled, but guess what, the card with the largest outstanding amount was NOT settled - only the smaller ones. This company scams people into believing they can help you get out of debt. But guess what, all they do is charge exorbitant fees (by my calculations, 38% of the total!) and don't take care of the largest amounts. Then they tell you "we can continue with the program if you want, and we'll take care of the last card". A total lie and ripoff. I wish I would have known this 3 years ago and we would have found a credible company for help. Stay away from Pioneer!!!
We put 4 cards into a program in August 2014, with a 4 yr pay-off goal. We weren't behind on paying, but knew we wouldn't be able to keep up because our financial situation was changing because of retirement. They told us to quit paying the cards and they would send letters to the creditors and for us to fax them any correspondance we got. We put $575 a month into the account they set up for us with Global Client Solutions. We had been paying about $1100 a month for all 4 cards (which was above the minimum, but we couldn't really see the debt going down). After about 6 months, I got a call that they had negotiated a settlement with the smallest card, but we didn't really have enough reserves built up to pay it, so if we could pay that one ourselves, it would help. I said OK; it was $75 a month for a year, so about $900 , and we owed the card over $3000. After about another 6 months, they negotiated a settlement with Discover. They were supposed to send a letter with the monthly payment amounts, but they did not, so I had to call them again to get it. A few months after that, I got a letter from Citi, which was our largest debt, with a settlement offer, and a "reply by" date. I faxed it to Pioneer. When I hadn't heard anything from Pioneer after a month, I called and asked them if they had set up payments with Citi. I was told we didn't really have enough money in our reserve account and I should just wait until they send another letter. I told them there would be plenty of money in the reserve fund if they didn't take so much of it. I got a call back later on that afternoon that they had set up a payment plan. I asked for a letter with the repayment amounts, but I never got that. By that time, I had learned how to go to the Global Client Solutions acct to see what was going on, so I just went there and wrote it down myself on a piece of paper. After 2 years, there still was no settlement with the 4th card, so I called Pioneer to see if they had contacted that company, which is a local bank. They had sent a letter, but had not received a settlement offer. By that time, 2 of the cards were paid, and the third was set to be paid off by Aug. 2017. I asked what would happen if the first 3 cards were paid, but they still hadn't heard from the 4th. I was told I should just keep paying into the program and they would settle it. Our financial situation had changed again, with my husband and me both now being retired. I had a little bit of money in a pension account, so I decided to wait until January (last month) when the interest from the last quarter of 2016 would be applied, and just take enough from that fund to pay off the 3rd card and take the last card out of the program. I called in December to let them know what I wanted to do, so they could stop my auto-draft for January (there would still be enough $ in our acct to pay the Jan. amount, plus fees. They tried to talk me out of it, but I said I am not asking for your advice, I am telling you what I want to do. The Pioneer fees were $79 a month, and my pension wasn't making that much, plus the $575 a month we were paying into the program was becoming a burden. So that is taken care of, now I am just waiting for a check from Global Client Solutions for what was left in our acct after the last card was paid. BTW, they charged $25 to take the last card out of the program. Overall, I am happy because the program was set up for 4 years and w finished in 2 1/2, but the last card isn't paid. I would say, if you go into a program with Pioneer, be sure to keep an eye on what is going on, because they don't really initiate the conversation. I had to do a lot of calling to find out what was going on, and to keep them on track. They charge $79 a month for "servicing fees", but once the settlements are agreed on, and the $ is being auto-drafted, they aren't really doing anything. In the first year of the program, there are other charges on top of the $79. To be fair, we did have a schedule of the fees when we signed up for the program, but it still seems like a lot of fees and charges to me.
Don't go with them. We wonted to pay of our program earlier, but they asked as for additional 8000$.I almost get I heart attack I don't know what to do except to sue them. There is no way to get to speak with manager's.As soon as they take a money for them self, you or on your own .I just find out after 38 months being with them I own almost the same amount of money as I owned on the beginning of the program, and I am paying 700$ every month .
I've been with Pioneer for two years with one credit card. Out of the blue after making regular payments to them I am served a garnishment notice. I finally go a hold of the negotiator and he tole me to go to court myself and try to get an exception for the garnishment. I did not know of this until two weeks of the date of it happening. They have not helped me on bit thus far, if there was anything I could do to help them help me I would have. Update. Do Not Go With This Law Firm!! After being garnished and told to go to court. I continued making monthly payments. They were taking almost $200 a month and almost $300 to the credit card. I got a call from them asking me to call them. They told me there wasn't enough money in my global account back 3-4 months. After three times attempting to contact someone, taking an hour on hold each time. Finally then told me they are going to have to re-negotiate. At this point I was livid. I called Capitol one myself, and negotiated a settlement $200 more than what they told me before they let the account lapse. Every time you call the dysfunction staff always says they will 'reach out someone'. If you do go with good luck, and I hope you don't have Mike Bunyan as your symbolic negotiator. (The only reason they paid me back the $1700 that was garnished is because I filed a claim with the better business bureau. Look it up they have 44 complaints~I've been with Pioneer for two years with one credit card. Out of the blue after making regular payments to them I am served a garnishment notice. After waiting over an hour on three separate instances they took over an hour. Now after I edit this review they send me their basic not a good fit thanks and bye. Fifty-three Months with them and I had to settle on my own.

We are currently involved, came to them to try to resolve our financial crisis, instead of turning to bankruptcy. They are not paying what they said, and won't return calls when they say they will. Wish I could start over and not go down this path.
Do not use this company, they are nothing but bad and do not follow through on what they tell you!!!
PLEASE find another company!!!!

My experience with Pioneer Law Firm has been worse than Bad. My 2 years is up the end of this month and I am so glad. I still have 3 accounts that they haven't even touched and doesn't look like they will. I can't get anyone to call me back, I have called several times and was told Friday, Jan 13, that they had scheduled a conference call for me with a manager/supervisor. And of course they didn't call. There was one person that helped me, his name is Rubin Sosa, and he helped settle two claims that had gone to litagation, after two negotiators had told me they couldn't settle with these accounts. So I do thank him. But the rest of my experience has been one of the worst in my life. I strongly recommend that you find another way to help with your finances.
they messed up our payments- would submit multiple drafts in the same month without authorization and dragged their feet to get settlements- often times stating we needed to increase our monthly payment. keeping our fingers crossed that we are done with them and our credit scores start recovering but pretty sure i would have done better on my own- wished i had read these reviews first.

We have been with Pioneer since Sept. 2014 for debt resolution on three credit cards. Back in March, 2015 a notice from Discover Card was forwarded to Pioneer for immediate attention because we were being sent to an attorney for law suit. To this day no one has contacted us. When we call customer service trying to get an answer, it's the typical we don't have any info at this time. We have asked to speak to upper management but always get told no one available. Getting a call back is a joke! Two days ago (Thursday) we were served with a law suit from Discover Card. The documentation was immediately forwarded to Pioneer requesting immediate contact from them. No body has bothered to contact us, just the standard email thread. Pioneer has sat on the notice sent them in March, 2015 and literally done nothing (that's a year and 4 1/2 months).
We want immediate contact from someone in a upper position in this firm as to what you are doing and why you have'nt handled this account.
I am almost 2 years into the Program with Pioneer Law Firm. They have negotiated with my creditors only "after" I had been sued. The last time I was sued by a creditor, I got one call during the so called negotiation. It was to ask "If you could pay $158.00 more per month, we can expedite this account". I was already paying $651.00 a month. I explained that I was barely being able to pay the $651.00. I received no further communication about this account until I received a JUDGEMENT against me by the creditors attorneys. When I contacted Pioneer and spoke to a Supervisor named Phillip, he stated there had been a big disconnect, did not know why the local attorney did not handle it(I have still not yet received the name of the attorney after numerous requests for such), that he would call the county clerks office, and this would be taken care of immediately. He also assured me for good or bad he would call me the next day. Well... I never and I repeat, never heard back from this supervisor again. Another person who was a litigator also communicated with me. Long story short... the deal they came up with was not a negotiation. Instead it was a payment plan for the entire amount of the judgement that would last almost 2 years "after" my program end date. This creditor was Discover. Let me type what it states in my original paper work word for word.
"Our strategy entails us NOT sending our Letters of Representation for any accounts you enroll that are from Chase or Discover. Please understand that creditor policies change from time to time and its is our job to adapt to those changes in order to be able to continue to successfully negotiate settlements of your enrolled debts. We feel strongly that this strategy will enable us to be highly successful with regards to any debts you enroll from these companies".
Well, this was not highly successful, the settlement was not properly negotiated, and it was not a good strategy. I now have a JUDGEMENT against me. I now owe almost 1,000.00 more dollars due to the JUDGEMENT. I agreed to pay more per month if Pioneer picked up on the balance at the end of my contracted end date. I have yet to hear back from them with a reply to such. I have also had to take my own steps and money to attempt to vacate the judgement. As stated by the supervisor, this was a BIG disconnect on Pioneer. Yet, Pioneer at this point has done NOTHING to "zealously represent my interests" as it states in my documentation. I will end my review here.
!!!!!!!!!!!!! April 11 2016 PART 2
Since My post in March. I was contacted by a representative. They explained they were there to help me and apologized for the lack of customer service AND the calls being not returned. I guess they really do not understand all the laws in my state. In the end after talking for some time and the representative "admitting" I was better off taking care of the debt myself (since they record calls, this is evident) they were going to try to find a solution to my issues. I was to be contacted no later than 4pm on March 31st. You can guess what happened. I received NO CALL or ANY resolution or help in a problem Pioneer Law Firm not only was a cause of; Admitted to such as well. It is 4/11/16, I have yet to receive "any type" of response. I only got one the last week of March due to my posting here. I hope they realize many will have no sympathy for this firm taking advantage of a Hurricane Sandy victim which put me in my financial troubles to begin with.
SHAME SHAME SHAME! Maybe I will get one of many more people calling me with no resolution and yes... telling me falsehoods!
Find a better way to solve your debt problems. I've been with them for about 3 years. My credit score went down more than 100 points and it is not recovering at all. It seems like I owe more money because of late fees than before I started the program. If they can't handle a problem they'll put it off on you stating that the law firm they are communicating with is a very "hard" law firm and ask you to pay more money monthly (basically the amount I paid prior to enrolling in their program) or handle the debt yourself. I'm EXTREMELY unsatisfied with their services and wish that I never started dealing with them in the first place.
So far things are going pretty smoothly. We will know more once our accounts start being settled.

I signed the contract with PLF 15 months ago and seems will get rid of my debt :-) soon! I would like to thank everybody who I was talking to by phone but particularly I'd like to thank Phill Carney. He was so patient and explained me how it works and I believed him and never regretted about that. Secondly, I'm so grateful to Eduardo Gamboa. He is doing such a great job! I appreciate so much what he's done for me! Thank you all for helping me and teaching me how to manage the financial situation.

I have been in the program for 14 months and can see a light at the end of my tunnel. I am disappointed that it's taking so long to reach an agreement with one of the cards but I don't think that is Pioneer as much as the card companies. They are very prompt and easy to work with. I struggled for months and finally came to the terms that I had to do something and it was a prefect fit for me at that time.
