The amount of bugs is mind blowing! And the level of customer service is lower than you could ever possibly expect.
Two months in a row Planoly has had a bug which cancels our subscription, but keeps charging our card fully for it. The card is fully active, the account on Planoly is active billing-wise, but the app and the website planning doesn't work for planning posts or stories.
We have now for 1.5 months tried to get Planoly to take this seriously. In the start they responded - trying to make it look like it was Apple's fault that the subscription expired (we're signed up via their website now, soooo........).
After tons of emails they admitted they have some bugs they are working on fixing. Currently we have sent 4 emails in the past 1.5 weeks - no response. Not one. Today they charged us again. The program hasn't worked for a week, cause it considers us "expired".
The amount of bugs experienced within the past 1.5 months are the following:
1) Planoly cancels the subscription every month but keeps charging the card for payment.
2) A bug that continuously mentions 'Failed to load image' - comes up every single time we try to manually post.
3) The app can't autopost if there's more than one photo.
4) The app keeps thinking we're new users and takes us through a full guide of the app - every single time we use it. We've used it for 3 years...
5) The app keeps freezing when we've made a planned post or edited a planned post and press save.
6) When posting a carousel manually the app can’t do it if the first part is a video - then the app only transfers the first video to Instagram. But not the rest of the photos/videos in the carousel.
7) Every now and then Planoly refuse to acknowledge that the app has access to all photos. It simply leads me to settings because it needs access to all photos - but it’s already clicked off in ‘all photos’
Planoly has known this for 1.5 months... We have now officially cancelled our subscription - also billing wise. We still haven't received a reply of course. Good luck to us getting our money back as well..........

I was not aware my free account became a paid account. I never used the service so I didn’t think anything of it until I got charged $177! When I sent in a refund request and asked for assistance they just sent generated emails about cancelling saying that they do not provide refunds and tell you how to avoid being billed - AFTER YOU ALREADY HAVE BEEN.
After sending an email directly to their support team I just received a generated email saying they will respond to me of if I fill out a form - which I had already done twice with the same auto response on how to cancel, not addressing my issue.
Such a horrible experience.

I have a serious issue with my Planoly account and want an immediate investigation and explanation. I am the owner of it and responsible for all billing. I had two instagram accounts linked to it: one which was for my company and another which I managed social media posting for a client.
I recently contacted the client to tell them I needed to remove them from my account as I no longer work for them and to save their content before I removed them. The client asked for the Planoly account to be transferred to them so they could keep on using it but I said no as the billing is in my name and card details, and all analytics and content for my other accounts and my business are linked to it. I also need the account for myself for my accounts and tax records as well. The client said they would contact Planoly themselves to see if they could have their content transferred to their own account.
I then tried to login to Planoly today and discovered that my email is taken off and complete ownership taken away from me! This is disgraceful. My credit card is linked to this account, plus you have handed over my account entirely without my permission.
You have handed over all my data, analytics and content I uploaded for my own business to another company. I want this fixed immediately and I want an explanation as to how this could happen. This is beyond belief that you have done this!!
I would seriously advise anyone else considering using
Planoly to think twice if this is the way they casually hand over your account (with your credit card details) to someone else without doing any checks with the original account holder

Almost IMPOSSIBLE to set up auto- post, I've recently started paying a subscription SOLELY so I can auto post and it is connecting to my personal Facebook page instead of the business page, I have NO IDEA how to fix this, wasted hours and hours researching looking for a solution but the information is just not there. Surely this is the MAIN reason people pay for this is to auto post?! There needs to be much better guidance on how to make it actually work - they are fobbing the blame over to Facebook

In the time I write this review, medicate my sick dog and make a hot drink, Planoly will still not have saved changes to my post which didn't autopost for an unknown reason. Spend my life looking at a spinning circle waiting for something to happen.

The main reason I signed up was for the auto post feature. Tried it twice and on both occasion the post was live hours before the set time. Unacceptable to be posting something that was scheduled for 12pm at 5am in the morning! Support refused to refund and didn't cancel when I asked so I'm basically still paying for something I don't use.

I was unable to figure out how the bloody f**ck to connect my Instagram account. The 4 steps in the articles they had were confusing as hell and it hurt my head and glazed my eyes over just trying to comprehend the instructions. It's essentially a nightmare trying to connect your Instagram account to auto post. It was the same thing with Buffer. The only reason I'm not giving this a 1 star is because I've heard once you get past the nightmare set up, it's a good tool. I felt like reaching out to support would be useless. Either that or extremely frustrating because there are so many variables and steps in which it could go wrong it would probably take DOZENS of emails back and forth to find the problem and fix it. I think I'd rather shoot myself.
I was wanting to give Instagram a go again but I can only do it if I have an auto poster. Not sure how others figure this out but this was a huge turn off and now I'm no longer interested in giving Instagram a shot again. Every time I try it's nothing but a massive headache and massive frustration. Lesson learned and never again.

Why is there a 'swap' option if uploading is going to do the same. I have 30 uploads a month but when I swap, it takes away from my monthly uploads..

Unable to connect my instagram account, tried multiples times...
Several hours later, the website say that my instagram account is already linked... to the e-mail adress I'm trying to connect my instagram account...it's a schrödinger's cat's type problem!

free account is ok but went to purchase an account for 5 accounts with a discount code. The code failed to work. The company took 10 days to attempt to resolve the issue and didn't match the original offer. i went else where

I signed up for a free account, never realizing that the company was going to switch me to a paid account. They charged me $84 in November. As soon as I saw it on my CC statement, I called and asked to have it reversed. They basically said, "sorry buddy -- once you've paid, we keep your money." They told me how to cancel so that I don't get charged again A YEAR FROM NOW. I'm always leary of companies that need to keep every penny they can get their hands on and value dollars over customer service. I'd steer clear. There are MANY other services you can use to schedule posts.

Absolutely appalling treatment of customers. Although it was clear my account had not even been touched after my cancellation failed, I was only able to get a 20% refund, and they made me feel like this was above and beyond. I was horrified because I told them I wanted to continue with the service but now of course I would never touch it again - while a service is understandably hard to refund, it should be obvious when there has been a bug or an error and the service was never used, and their policy is extremely unfriendly. Do stay away from this service, it is the epitome of how a glossy website with a 'personal story' and friendly copy can persuade you that their customer service is going to treat you like a human being and that they're not just after your money.
Terrible customer service, I'm a UK based client yet as they are US you always have to wait hours for a response if not days. You would have thought they could afford a UK based customer service person - or someone who works weekends!
There are always glitches meaning your posts don't go out and they never even apologise.
Cancelled an account with them back in April and just noticed I’ve still have been being charged!! Had to physically call my bank to block the payments - not happy!
I was happy with the Planoly tool and with the attention of their customer support and quick resolution of my issues.
