Sue Stott from police Mutual has been most helpful and advised me on best cover for my vehicle. She also helped to easily change address and additional drivers with no extra hassle. She was polite and very informative, I felt she had gone above and beyond to help me which has resulted in me saving £££.

Police insure have provided a great level of support following my vehicle being involved in an accident. On a persona note, Ethan , in the customer support cell went far and beyond to deal with the underwriter and there partners who were dealing with my car. Without a doubt, great service .

I was very sad to learn a year ago, that the owner of police insure was selling his company to another named A Plan. I have been a customer of police insure for around 20 years and had a rapport with their office staff and trusted everything that they suggested for me on my policies. My first contact with A Plan Was from the Bletchley office. I was living in Norfolk at the time so was a little surprised I wasn’t allocated to the Norwich office. They appeared to know nothing of my record, of Me, of my vehicle, or the policies that I had held with Police Insure. I made a complaint and was assured that their company knows everything about my insurance record and this was purely down to software changes from one company to another. Today I had a text message from Howden insurance telling me my car insurance is due to run out. I researched on Google and Howden insurance is now the new name for A Plan. I rang to discuss my insurance and said I had no idea that they had changed their name, an apology was made that I hadn’t been sent a letter. I was then told that somebody else would have to call me back because the person who answered wasn’t trained on the system for police insure customers. Two hours later I rang back and was told my message had been passed on and Matthew was supposed to call me back. having been reminded he had to call me, I received Matthews call approximately 10 minutes later. Already thinking that I want to change my insurance provider. At this point, I asked for past history on my record and enquired about my GAP insurance. I was told that this ran out in March 2023 and was not renewed because A plan/Howdens do not deal with gap insurance. at this point, I started to switch off, not wanting to listen to Matthew anymore. I have now got to wait for somebody else to call me back as he has had to refer my renewal request to someone else. God knows who and where. I don’t think this company knows what it’s doing, the customer service is appalling. I knew when police ensure stopped trading this would be a disaster. I am now looking for another insurance broker, so please be aware, police insured does not exist anymore.

I've been a customer of Police Insure for several years now, and have always found them to be competitively priced with good customer service.

My house and contents insurance was due, and I compared the renewal quote from Police Insure with one of the online comparison sites. As expected, the quotes from the online provider came in under the Police Insure quote.

I contacted Police Insure and was looked after by Zoe, who pulled out the stops and was able to provide a quote matching those online.

This is why I prefer to stay with Police Insure. The customer service is great, and if anything does go wrong, you've got a tangible contact to help sort things out for you - something not always available online.

Rebecca Daniel looked after me and from initial contact through to completing all the admin she has been fantastic. Not pushy, explained everything, never rushed me and explained everything including various options throughout. Really polite, attentive and responsive on email as well.

Myself and my wife have had car x 2, touring caravan and home insurance with police insure for years now. We always enjoyed the friendly, efficient service that we were always afforded. The service gave us confidence and comfort. When we saw that they became part of the A-plan group, we felt a little concerned as to what effect that might have to the service and premiums. Well it turns out we were right to be concerned. Our house insurance renewal has gone through the roof. My wife called them, which confirmed it is not only the premium which has changed. Service is no longer what it used to be. We will be making our feelings known not only through this review, but also with the insurers we choose for our home, caravan and our cars.

Decided to fill in the form on their website a couple of weeks ago, as my home insurance renewal had come through, and wanted to see if they could beat it.

Had a phone call from someone at A-Plan, but I was on holiday so I asked for a call back.

That call came a few days later, and the bloke asked if it was a convenient time to go through the details. I said yes it was. He said I'll put you through to one of my colleagues. Expecting to be transferred straight through, I'm them put on hold into a queue. After a minute, I thought what the hell. They ring me and then put me on hold, that's appalling.

So I ended the call whilst still in the queue, and took out a policy with Aviva.

Car insurance is due in September. Just hope I don't have a similar experience, else Police Insure will have lost a valuable customer who's been using them for years.

I have been a customer with Police Insure on various occasions. I saw they were moving to A Plan and was worried about this and was proved right. First renewal offer was over £1000 for a fiesta when my policy with Police Insure was under £300. Complete madness. Sadly I've left now.

I recently left Police Insure due to them not being able to compete with a recent renewal in my car insurance. However, having contacted them about this although I didn’t take out a renewal I had the pleasure of dealing with an employee by the name of Lloyd Camilleri. What a credit to the company this individual was. Polite, Extremely helpful and reassuring. Following this experience I’d definitely consider returning to this company in the future. A credit to the company.

The service is exceptional. A shout out to Sue who went above and beyond to get me a great price for my renewal this year.
I always use a comparison site and therefore I don’t just automatically renew with Police Insure but they always come out with the best price for the exceptional service they provide.

Police insure advertise on their website that they insure currently serving police, retired police, special constables ect. They don't, they now only insure currently serving officers who are employed by the police. So if you're retired or a special constable don't bother. My quote was 4x higher than my renewal. They did tell me after taking all my details that they don't do it anymore for non serving. Could of saved my time by either changing their website or telling me earlier. 2 stars rather than one because I have had cheap insurance in the past when their website was correct.
