I ordered a personalised mug from Printster using clear, good-quality photos.

When the mug arrived, several of the images were visibly blurred, pixelated, and lacking clarity, which was extremely disappointing for a personalised item intended as a meaningful gift.

I raised this with customer services and provided clear photographic evidence, including a direct comparison with a personalised mug I ordered from Printster previously, which was printed sharp and clear.

This demonstrated that Printster is capable of producing much better quality than what was delivered this time.

Despite this, Printster refused to offer a replacement or full refund, stating that the image blur was due to “technical scaling” required by the layout chosen.

At no point during the ordering process was it made clear that choosing this layout would result in noticeably degraded image quality.

After a prolonged back-and-forth, the only resolution offered was a 20% partial refund (£2) or a discount code for a future order. I accepted the £2 refund simply to end the matter, but this was not an acceptable resolution given the quality issue and the time spent trying to resolve it.

Based on this experience, I would be very cautious about ordering personalised photo products from Printster, particularly if image clarity matters to you. I won’t be ordering again.

I ordered some coasters on the Sunday evening before Christmas and they were with me by Christmas Eve - amazing service! Lovely surprise for the recipients of the gift too. Thank you very much, I will definitely buy from you again.

I have always ordered with printster and found them so good at giving gifts and personalisation on things. I ordered a mug for a Christmas present and the quality of the pictures were all blurry and awful. I got in contact with them to ask if there was any chance of a replacement and why this may be as it’s never been like this before. They told me that this is the standard image and how it should look and wouldn’t offer a refund or a replacement!! I have had to go to another retailer to pay out even more in hopes that they will offer me something that looks good. I won’t be ordering from printster again and I am very disappointed.

Great customer service. I was disappointed with the size of the text on a personalised mug I had ordered as a gift. Prompt reply to my email and replacement mug received a few days later in time for the occasion.

I was disappointed with the rendition of the photos when printed on a mug - especially as this is a present for someone else.
Low contrasting images and inaccurate colours.
Printster were unwilling to address the issues, so sadly I would not recommend this company to other shoppers.

Never received my order! What a waste of money.

Have used before with no issues for the same product (mug with pictures). Latest 2 were incredibly pixelated and low quality, and they’ve refused to do anything about it, which is ridiculous. All we wanted was them fixed, not a refund. Now you’ve lost 2 customers and we’ll do a charge back anyways as it’s objectively poor quality…

Straight forward way to personalise the gift paper.
Came quickly and rolled rather than folded.

Orderd 3 mugs for Christmas. Poor quality photos compared to what I sent. Blurry, lighting had changed. Emailed to flag it and they said the photos met the standards of the photos I had sent. I sent them my original photos I'd uploaded and compared to the garbage they sent me. Disgusting customer service. Do not order. Con of a company.

I ordered some coasters. I uploaded four images, requesting seven coasters from each. When you select the images for reproduction the interface does not allow you to see the images that have been uploaded. The software uploaded only three without my knowledge so the printing was wrong. I contacted the company and explained the situation and they flatly refused to remedy the situation. So much for their claimed 'excellent' customer service. I would rate their customer service as extremely poor. Avoid this company.

I ordered a personalised photo mug - the photos on the mug were ALL blurry even though high quality photos were uploaded. I emailed customer service about this and was told that these photos meet their quality standards - which says a lot about the company. Luckily it was only a mug for a family member (though my money was still wasted) and not for something more important as I know others may consider this company for prints for weddings etc. I would not recommend unless you want blurry pictures and I will not be using again!!

Terrible customer service and very disappointing experience. I ordered personalised coasters and contacted the company almost immediately to cancel because I forgot to add express shipping , but they refused — claiming the order was already “in production,” which is simply not believable given how quickly I got in touch.

What makes this even worse is that I placed a second order with express shipping around the same time, and that one was processed and shipped straight away. This clearly shows they had the time and ability to cancel the first order but simply chose not to.

When the coasters arrived, the quality was very poor — they look cheap and badly made. They were meant to be a gift, but I’m honestly embarrassed to give them to anyone.

The company has since ignored my follow-up emails completely. No effort to resolve the issue, no accountability, and no basic courtesy in communication. It’s unacceptable to treat customers this way, especially when the mistake could have easily been fixed if they’d bothered to respond properly.

I would strongly advise others to avoid ordering from this company — they clearly don’t value their customers or stand behind their products.

Best price for 4 coasters that i could find online . A little worried about delivery as chose cheaper option and no tracking, however arrived OK and the quality was amazing. Would definitely use services again

After doing a fair bit of research I believed I was making the right decision when ordering photo coasters for my sisters engagement present through Printster. I felt they were the best value and didn’t charge too much in postage. Reviews looked good and it’s a big company so I thought they would have decent photo printers / equipment.

I was wrong, the coaster photo quality is awful and I’m embarrassed to use them as a gift. So I’ll have to re order at another company and spend even more on what was meant to be a nice present from the very start.

I contacted Printster to complain (the red flag being you can’t call them) you have to email and after a week they have emailed back to say they believe the quality is good enough and won’t be doing anything further.

Very disappointing. How can you be a photo printing company and not even have the right equipment to do the job.

I ordered personalised wrap from simplygiftwrap and it came from printster so I guess they use different names, but the wrapping paper was brilliant - grandson's photo on it, also the number 16 for his birthday - great quality and lots of fun. I will be ordering again soon for the next birthday!

My card was charged but no order was created.

Over the moon with the face masks I ordered from Printster and the customer service was above and beyond.
