I use the Evesham Branch and it seems that when I order an item which is shown and in stock it comes back as for next day delivery. Okay I accept this, but then the next day it says your order is further delayed. These are basic items such as M6 bolts? It seems to be happening on a routine basis. So my first go to is now Toolstation, which seems to deliver on its promises.

Dangerous mountfield petrol lawnmower. 18 month's with it well looked after and stored in garage the fuel pipe from tank to carb had deisintgrated causing petrol to leak all over the garage. Also, very dangerous,if I tried to start could have been very bad. This is down to poor quality of fuel line from tank to engine . Not impressed, poor quality and dangerous. It has a two year guarantee, Screwfix only keep online invoices for 18 month's, including on my account ( and yours). They said without proof of purchase I was screwed( pardon the pun).Who keeps paper receipts? Fixed it myself with no help from them

Whatever you do, do NOT accept replacement goods for faulty ones !! - insist on a refund & then buy again, it's only a paper excercise but Screwfix take the sale date of the first item for the warranty so if the new item becomes faulty after the first ones guarantee is out ou are screwed. all it does is cost screw fix time & paper

I didn't realise Screwfix had such a bad reputation. I make three or four purchases a week from my two closest stores, and I've literally never had a bad experience.
I bought a reciprocating saw from them yesterday. I used it and returned it after it just wasn't up to the job. But to be clear, it was MY ISSUE. I bought the product thinking it would work, it didn't, and I took it back in, covered in saw dust, and they just refunded me.
That kind of thing doesn't happen in shops these days, and it gives me so much faith in them as a company that they won't ever force me to waste my money or give me a bad experience.
With a lot of their tools, they are generally a little more expensive than elsewhere, so I normally only go to them for supplies, but regardless, they're simply the most consistent company I've ever frequented.

Back in mid February, I had to return a couple of wall lights to the Screwfix Broadstairs store, unused, undamaged, and in their original packaging, for a refund. £27 quid...
The in-store customer service wasn't the greatest, and I should have guessed that a member of staff that questioned the difference between up and down on a monitor would create problems with my refund. In fact, it took me until March...
Initially, I emailed. No reply.
I sent a Letter Before Action.No reply.
I opened a dispute with PayPal. Instant response.
I kept the case open until Screwfix were able to specify the amount and timescale, as it seemed very likely that as soon as the case was closed, as they wanted me to do before receiving a refund, they would go radio silent again.
They're a dishonest company and that's the last time I buy anything from them.

i was in the Walsall branch yesterday, no issue with the parts i ordered just how a member of staff acted towards me and what i thought was her manager. very rude, made me feel uncomfortable.

We bought two tins of the same Lick paint from Screwfix, mixed in store (order: 0226A24958983696). They came out completely different colours. We only found out after our decorator had spent a full day painting our daughter's bedroom — a full day's wages, completely wasted. We'd also had a carpet fitter booked in for the following day, who we had to cancel last minute because the skirting boards now need repainting. Our decorator has moved on to another job, so we're looking at a week's delay on the whole project. Our little girl was supposed to be moving into her new room this weekend. She's devastated.
Lick Paint responded quickly and professionally and confirmed the fault lay with Screwfix's in-store mixing. Screwfix? Still haven't heard a word.
A refund on the paint doesn't come close to making this right. I'm a fair person and will edit this review if Screwfix are able to fix their mistake in a satisfactory way.

Ordered stuff to my local store did not arrive on time ive contacted screwfix on 7 diffrent accasions 1st was where sorry transit had difficultys 2nd was there was a error in delivering it to the store and the latest 2 days ago was your items was missed in transit to the store we will fast track it can assure you it will be there by 1 pm that was 2 days ago... i get it stuff happens but the way they try and justify it makes me gald I use toolstation 90 percent more times than I would screwfix

I used to go into my local branch almost daily. Now most things I need are next day and that was their USP. I’m a tradesman and need basic items whilst I’m doing the job, not tomorrow. Their crazy decision to change their logistics model to (basically Amazon) central hub is a disaster. I go into Toolstation more now as at least they keep everyday things such as screws! (the irony). Staff are good but clearly poor decisions being made further up the company. When I did order a next day item this week it didn’t even turn up!! They rely heavily on tradesmen and they are now on very thin ice with many of us.
Update: your stores have not reduced in size, you have simply stopped stocking many everyday builder’s consumables. It’s mainly since Covid and I’ve been a customer for 20 plus years, so I’m not delusional. Maybe better that you own the issue and pass it on up the food chain, don’t just try to obfuscate.

Store is decent but the app was a terrible choice. your cart seize up when an item is out of stock and you can't order anything then as it's all greyed out and you can't remove the item thats out of stock. Also the clear lack of decent deals all the time since the app came out has made me shop elsewhere. Please revert back to your business model from a year ago and your customer base should return.

Just in case this ever gets read by management looking after the Ilminster store - both Aimee and Mandy were absolutely ace helping me out trying to find plumbing fixings the right size (plumbing is an absolute nightmare if you've ever had a go at it - mixed imperial and metric sizes and nothing compatible with anything else!) massive, massive thank you to both. It makes a very stressful job so much easier having someone on your side!
