I was disappointed that no support was available on the door for accessible access - the vip ticket seats were wooden kitchen type chairs and I spent the first 20 minutes in agony -the chairs at the back where fully cushioned and more comfortable however far too late to rearrange . I had to leave early due to pain. The subject should have been academically elating but it was lacking

Thoroughly enjoyed my second talk this year. Both have been so engaging and interesting in content. Well organised at Winchester and Southampton. Can’t wait to go to more!!

Lindsay Dukes was an absolutely fantastic speaker on a fascinating topic, the range of other talks offered looks amazing, please do another like this!

I've attended several Seed Talk events over the years at a couple of venues. The events are always realy interesting and bring together people with similar interests and diverse experiences. The locations (Hen & Chicken Bristol and Blakehay Theatre Weston Super Mare) are really nice and intimate venues as well.
Thank you for doing the thing you do and finding the spaces that allow us to listen and learn about such a broad spectrum of things!

I bought a ticket to the talk "Gothic Literature & Women: The Female History of Horror" for a fun gathering with my spooky things-inclined friends to watch and learn from this talk and let me tell you: we had a BLAST!!! 10/10 would recommend.

Dr Joan Passey was not only intelligent and well-spoken, she was funny and accessible too. It literally felt like I was receiving a talk by my best friend...you know, my friend who also happens to be a professional lecturer in English at the University of Bristol, specializing in the gothic, horror and folklore!!

SeedTalks - bring back Joan whenever you can. Let her speak about whatever she wants, 'cause she can do it all and we will be there SEATED and ready to learn! And keep up these North American-accessible seminars. Some of us on this side of the pond truly **do** like to be educated (even though some recent events and actions of our leaders - at least here in the States - might point to otherwise...).

Great event really wonderful expert speaker. The content felt accessible and exciting. So glad they hosted this event for the US. I learned and connected some pieces from history and literacy. My sister had found the lecture and sent it to me and I’m so glad she did. Added a bunch of gothic literacy fiction titles to my TRB and to watch list. I loved hearing it connections to feminism.

Dr. Joan Passey is incredibly knowledgeable and funny. I learned so many new things and felt she made a safe space for her audience while discussing challenging topics. Would love to take another course with her again!
