BAGGAGE NEVER DELIVERED: AVOID THIS SHIPPING COMPANY

This is the worst shipping company I have ever experienced. I shipped bag/s + boxes from UK to Switzerland. One of the bags was lost and never delivered.

Initially, their argument was usually none of our bags get lost in transit and this is extremely rare thing to happen. I wonder what I have to do with this. Then they said they will try to get £100 in compensation and I have to provide receipts of all the items. Its very unlikely the people keep receipts of all used items. However, I provided receipts of items worth more than £100 to them.

Then their reply was we have escalated this issue to the claims department and we are checking with the courier (Fedex in this case) to see if they can track the baggage. After that, no reply and total silence. When I checked what's the status of the baggage and compensation for lost baggage, they didn't bother to reply.

This is the summary of experience so far:
1) I paid total shipping cost of my bag
2) Bag wasn't delivered on time
3) Then they said bag was lost; they will see if I can be compensated £100 if I provide receipts
4) I provided receipts worth more than £100
5) Then they said they have escalated the issue to the claims department and have followed up with the courier
6) After that no reply or update about the status of the lost bag or claim

So, you pay for your shipping, they lose the bag, claim it's rare for a baggage to be lost in transit and don't pay any penalty/compensation.

This is the most unethical shipping company I have seen who lacks any business ethics with extremely poor customer service. On top of that, the arrogance of the staff is quite baffling.

If you want your baggage to be delivered properly, avoid this company at all cost!

Thanks for taking the time to leave your review, we appreciate all the feedback we receive and strive to make improvements where necessary.

I'm so sorry one of your items was indeed classed as lost, and can verify this is a rarity. However I have looked through your order and all communications associated with this, and don't recognise your claims of unethical practice, silence from Sherpr nor non processing of your claim.

I can see your order for 12 items from the UK to Switzerland was collected on June 19th and 11 items were delivered to you, with one being classed as lost. Sherpr provides two sets of labels for all shipments and we clearly direct our customers to place one on the external packaging and place the duplicate on top of the last item packed inside your shipment, this is so that the courier can still forward the item onward should the external label detach - I can see you placed both on the external packaging of each item which unfortunately may hinder the courier in their search.

Upon initial contact, we advised we had ordered Fedex to perform another search for your item, and if this did not return any success this would proceed to a claim. When booking your order, you chose not to add any insurance on to your shipment and accepted the standard £100 complimentary insurance Sherpr provides as a default to all orders. Unfortunately, despite providing receipts exceeding this value, Sherpr is limited to the £100 insurance you confirmed at the time of booking as per terms and conditions.

We responded to your email providing information on 25th, 26th and 30th June. We then informed you of the claim process on 1st July and once you provided the required information I can see several further emails.
We have tried to contact you since then on a number of occasions via phone, the last attempt being yesterday at 1pm and 1:39pm, however we have been unable to reach you.

With regards to your initial review, this was flagged due to defamatory content which did not align with Trustpilot's code of conduct, not Sherpr.

Again, I sincerely apologise for the loss of one of your items, and your claim has been actioned. Our claims team will be in contact.

Successful shipping Netherlands - USA

Very patient and friendly people who assured me everything was possible and would be fine. Personal approach what I liked, with a really fast response time if I had a question. I also needed to reschedule and that was not a problem at all. When a part of delivery wasn’t with the rest when it was delivered, I didn’t even had to call or email them. Before I knew they had send me an email with information that it was not with delivery, but that they where on it! The next working day the missing part was delivered. I can recommend them to everyone who needs to do an international shipping. Thank you so much Joana and Marie for making this a great experience in a lot of immigration stress!

Great experience.

I needed some personal items delivered back to South Africa from the US and Sherpr were amazing. They were the most reasonable option and their communication was great. I knew where my package was at all times and they helped me clear it through customs easily. My things were delivered in great condition. Even with a slight delay, I received my goods in great time. I would highly recommend them for your shipping needs.

Quick, reliable and easy to use

Such a fast and easy to use service. I managed to ship my boxes based on a last minute decision less than a week before i moved to another country, because i didn’t realize earlier my suitcases were too heavy. I did it so fast i actually messed up my own details but Grace in customer service was so quick to help me out. Definitely recommend

Sherpr’s Excellent Customer Service

I recently used Sherpr to ship seven boxes and one piece of luggage from San Antonio, Texas, USA to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia via their door-to-door service.

From the initial inquiry to final delivery, the entire process was smooth and hassle-free. The Sherpr team was responsive, professional, and a pleasure to deal with throughout.

Sherpr’s pricing is competitive, and more importantly, completely transparent. They clearly outlined what was included and what wasn’t, so there were no hidden fees or unexpected charges - something I truly appreciated.

For the collection, I had a special request: Sherpr needed to coordinate with the apartment’s management office to gain access for pickup, as we were not present. They handled this additional step without hesitation, and I’m very grateful for their flexibility and support.

After collection, we were able to track the shipment online, and the team also provided regular updates, which was both helpful and reassuring.

A heartfelt thank you to the Sherpr team - Duncan, Marie, Joe, and Grace - for their excellent customer service, professionalism, patience, and coordination. Your efforts ensured everything arrived safely and on time.

This was actually our second time using Sherpr, the first being a shipment from Exeter, UK to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Based on both experiences, I highly recommend Sherpr to anyone looking for a reliable and customer-focused international shipping service.

I cannot fault the service provided by Sherpr. From the initial contact with a sales rep. which was relaxed, friendly and by call; not by email. Organizing the shipment was straightforward. Sherpr has an online help platform which is very reactive. Their pricing was extremely competitive. I recommend them totally.

Very helpful

Sherpr was very helpful especially Marie who was incharge of making sure my boxes were shipped and delivered properly. She followed up very promptly with customs when one of the boxes needed additional documentation. I moved from the UK to the US and it was very easy to send everything off with Sherpr at a good rate.

England to Norway, quick and fair price

Moved from England to Norway, they picked up all my boxes (4 normal and one bike box, which other companies refused to do). All got delivered within a week giving regular updates. The prices were fair and they were very accommodating to all my changes and refunded me for the boxes I chose not to send. All responses by relocation expert Joana, and customer service representative Marie, were timely and very helpful. Would definitely use this company again if I move country.

Everything was perfect

Everything was super smooth, I truly recommend this moving company, ours was from the Netherlands to Ireland and everything was fine. The boxes are all in good shape also. We had a small delay but they take care of it quickly. Very grateful.

Awful company

Awful company! Total scam!!
I paid for my move from NYC to France 2 weeks in advance and double checked everything was set for my international move. On the day of the move they cancelled my Fedex pickup. They tried to convince me that wasn't true, except I had called Fedex who confirmed they cancelled everything and the labels I spent hours sticking on my boxes were now invalid.
I emailed them, no response. I tried to call, not 1 of their offices had a working phone line. I sent more emails to my rep, threatening a lawsuit if I was forced to reschedule my flight/move, pay for a hotel etc. Finally he sent new labels, but that lazy moron never scheduled a pickup. I had to run out in the street, flag down a fedex truck and pay $200 cash for help loading my boxes into their truck.
Then, once I arrived in France, I find out they messed up the labels and customs declaration and my boxes are being held pending payment of 196euros tax for commercial shipment. These ***** listed one of my boxes as weighing 400lbs which is too heavy and illegal in a private shipment. I had to go to the airport, fix their stupid customs declaration (which was in the wrong currency), then have Fedex investigate what happened and finally Fedex confirmed the box did not weigh 400lbs, that was the weight for the total shipment, and there were no commercial items in the shipment, so I should not have to pay tax on my personal belongings. Eventually my shipment was released and delivered to me.
I never even got an apology from these people. They should be shut down!! Especially since they have no working offices or phone lines but apparently have tons of stuff available to monitor reviews and threaten people who post! You can bet i'll keep posting and warning people about them now!! Scum of the earth!

Thank you for both of your reviews regarding your shipment.
I would like to respond to the claims you made across your reviews.
As mentioned in the above response, order amendments made at your request meant you required a new set of updated labels. These were provided as soon as they were generated.

You stated we did not book your collection, however we have a collection reference for your shipment after the first was cancelled.
With regards to the customs hold, your shipment was held for 24 hours, from Sunday 1st June to Monday 2nd June. The first label of any shipment is the master label which displays the total weight of the whole shipment. On this specific label it is very clear that the weight is total, as per industry standard and is issued by the carrier, and appears in your case as TOTWGT: 448.29 LB. Any shipment which exceeds the duty free threshold for that specific country will indeed incur duties and taxes, as yours did.

You have stated across your reviews that Sherpr threatened you, this is not the case. Sherpr called the number you yourself provided for your order, and did not get through. We followed this up with an email asking for the best contact number and time to speak to you. Your response, which came five minutes later, was aggressive and immediately told us not to harass you, which we had not done. You then posted on your review that we contacted you to force you to take down your review - this was absolutely not the case. Sherpr has never discussed your review with you nor asked you to remove it. Your first review was removed by Trustpilot for obscene language, violating their policy. The next was removed for defamation due to factually incorrect and damaging claims, violating their policy again. Sherpr's only contact with you was a call that did not connect, and one follow up email asking for the best phone number.

You stated that our Californian office does not exist. This is correct, our US office address is based in New York.

Again, I apologise your experience was frustrating, and will review our booking and collection process going forward to ensure better communication between our team and our customer.

Sherpr helped us relocate ten boxes…

Sherpr helped us relocate ten boxes from the UK to Sweden, and they were ever so helpful. It was a super smooth process, the boxes arrived after just a few days of being picked up, and we had no issues at all. A special shout-out to Joe who helped us over the phone and was always there if we had any questions or concerns. This was especially helpful in order for us to prepare all the customs papers.
So thanks to Joe and the team at Sherpr!

Great relocation support

Sherpr helped me with a relocation from London to Dublin. From the beginning they was very clear communication with Joe who helped me understand prices and logistics and continued to be available to answer any questions after. The team was flexible to accommodate the change in amount of boxes I wanted to ship and to schedule on my preferred collection date.

After the collection, Marie from the customer service team was giving me timely updates on my shipment and she was very kind to support me while I had issues proving my status to the customs authorities. Thanks to her timely information, we managed to get my boxes delivered in Dublin with just a very minor delay.

Overall I am happy with the service and I would recommend it!

Very good service

Very good service, with excellent communication throughout the entire process, from the quote proposal and administrative preparation to delivery updates. The delivery is handled by FedEx, so the company is not directly responsible for shipping delays or handling (one out of ten boxes arrived separately the following day, all in expected condition), but they kept me well informed and were responsive throughout. I don't have experience from other companies handling international shipping, but I would use their service again. Special thanks to Joana and Grace.

Good value good service

The parcel was delivered on time and in good order and when I had a question Grace was very helpful and efficient in answering my query and she followed up to make sure everything was alright. It was also better value than other couriers.
