This clinic is honestly one of the worst I’ve ever dealt with. I’ve gone through 6 laser hair removal sessions and have seen absolutely no results at all, not even the slightest improvement. It feels like a complete scam.
The equipment they use seems extremely outdated or ineffective, and it’s shocking that they even offer this service in its current state. After spending so much time and money, I’m left with nothing but frustration.
I would strongly advise anyone to stay away from this clinic. Save your money and go somewhere that actually delivers results.
Disabled Customer Ignored – £590 Unusable After Clinic Closure
£590 tied up in prepaid treatments following the sudden closure of the Reading clinic, with no response to a formal complaint.
I have been a longstanding customer for nearly a decade and have spent a significant amount with this company over the years. I now have £590 in unused treatments that I am unable to access.
The only solution offered has been to travel to alternative clinics, requiring up to a 3-hour round trip for short appointments scheduled every 1–2 weeks. As a registered disabled customer with neurological conditions, this is not a reasonable or safe expectation.
Despite raising this formally, I have received no response.
Very disappointing handling of a loyal customer, particularly given the lack of consideration for accessibility.

The staff are always kind and helpful. Today I was seen to by Dee and she was a big help in organising some other appointments for later in the month.
UPDATE:
Since my last review in Jan 2026, SkinSpace has still NOT issued a refund. It has been a year since they've closed my local clinic in Jan 2025, and I provided medical evidence of the lump I found, which means I am not suitable for laser removal. They replied to my initial review saying to contact the support team. I did, and surprisingly NO REPLY! Please avoid this company and opt for Laser Clinics which has far better laser technology machines that work and much better value for money!
They closed my branch and refused a refund
I had one session of laser hair removal at the Reading branch - which was great and the women at the branch were amazing too - but then a day before my second appointment I received an email telling me the branch was closed for the foreseeable future.
Instead of giving me a refund, they told me to book my treatments at either their London or Bristol branches. These are 40 and 70 miles away from me - it is not a suitable solution. I instead asked for my money back, and over the span of two weeks they ignored multiple of my emails, calls, voicemails, and even Instagram messages. The first response I received was over 2 weeks later, and only after I threatened to complain to Trading Standards via Citizens Advice.
They have since refused to give me a refund, claiming it is against their terms and conditions as they can still provide the service elsewhere. Their terms and conditions do not say this, and when I pointed this out to them by copying and pasting their own terms and conditions into an email back to them, they stopped responding again.
The way this company treats customers is disgusting, it seems as if they deliberately make communication with them difficult in the hopes that people will not challenge them. I am sure the staff in branches are lovely, but the company itself is appalling.

The treatment itself was amazing — not only did I see fantastic results, but the whole experience felt like a real treat. Dee clearly has so much knowledge and takes the time to tailor everything to suit you perfectly.
I left feeling refreshed, confident, and already looking forward to my next appointment. If you’re thinking of booking, do it you won’t be disappointed!

Dont use this company i bought a wowcher for 6 session treatment and when I went for the consultation tried to offer me a small area of my chin then charge me £277 for a full area of my chin on top of the money I already paid to do laser treatment when I then asked for a refund tried to stop me from getting my money please do your research and save your money dont use this company

Terrible service from the company , keep changing locations can never get through to book appointments , do not respond to voicemails or emails (although staff members at the clinic are great especially Roxy!) had my laser done 2 weeks ago was told I would get a call within next few days to book next appointment as systems are down still no call or no one answering their telephone number (last time took me 2 months to get booked) they have also had their machines taken away in bristol so only one machine so if one of therapists or customers are running late it impacts your booking

Bought a second round of laser fungal treatment for £267. Had 1 of the 6 sessions, machine in their London branch has been broken since early January. They have refused to offer me a refund or alternative solution. Do not respond to various emails to their support or customer service team, nor pick up my calls. Incredibly disappointing and would not recommend to anyone.

Easy way to lose money and gain nothing
Sell vouchers through wowcher but trying to redeem them is impossible, the teleohone is invalid and the email customer service just indecipherible. Will never use again. Lost half my.money.

Very disappointing experience and extremely poor customer service.
I paid in advance for a package of 12 sessions xxxx Therapy, however the full service was never delivered. They keep cancelling the session and never rebook me. One session was cancelled 25minutes prior session! I have been trying for months to resolve this directly with the company and have sent multiple emails requesting either completion of the treatment or a refund for the sessions not provided.
Unfortunately, all of my attempts to contact them have been ignored, and I have received no response whatsoever. For a business that takes payment upfront, the complete lack of communication and accountability is unacceptable.
Customers should be aware that paying in advance for treatments here may leave you in a very difficult position if something goes wrong. I have now had to escalate this matter further through consumer protection channels in order to recover the money for services that were never provided.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. I would recommend anyone with same issue (including recent review posted here 5days ago) to contact Citizens Advice so this company can pay the consequences of such awful service.
I hope this review helps other potential customers make an informed decision.

Customer service and communication and premises are awful.
Staff members in the London branch are particularly rude and unprofessional. The phone is barely picked up and when it is, you are met with attitude and quite frankly people who do not seem to want to be at work. The treatment rooms are awful, the walls are dirty and plain, not a nice experience felt like I was in someone's abandoned spare room, the beds are old, damaged and dirty as well. The tissue seems to be used all day and not changed. Employers are not happy to be there. Machines look like they have not been regulated in a while either. I do not recommend spending money in this place, much better options. The only reason I purchased was due to the low price advertised in Reading. Biggest regret and I do not even want to finish my course with them. Good luck even getting an appointment as you can even barely get through to them. Location is terrible too and they moved premises and claimed to have text me the new premises just 24 hours before my appointment. Did not receive a text and they actually should of communicated this via email which is a much more reliable method of communication.

Awful company and awful service.
They make you pay in full upfront then they will cancel/change/amend every single appointment a few hours before.
You will then have to chase them yourself to rearrange the appointments you have paid for, then for them to cancel on you again.
They then ignore you when you ask for a refund.
Not doing their treatment right
Today I had a last laser treatment from skinspace leeds uk. Bryony did the laser treatment on my face and she was absolutely brilliant and she went over my face at least 7 times in one place while other therapists only went over once on the area of my face and I wonder why my hair still there. Not happy with all the therapists but I'm happy with bryony. She was so sweet and professional. I'm giving one star review for the company and the therapists who work in there. Bryony did my treatment first time today and she did it with honesty. None of the others went over my face area more than one time. How can they do that to me when I've paid a lot of money. I wouldn't recommend any one going there for laser and for any other treatment and I would never go there again.
