Created by Abi Selby, Spabreaks.com is a spa booking service working with more than 1300 spa destinations in the UK and overseas and arranging spa days and breaks for up to 6,000 people each week. From a small team of three, we have grown to a family of more than 90 members of staff with an office of knowledgeable spa consultants in Brighton. But those are just the numbers. Spabreaks.com's founding principle was to make the world of spa more accessible to anybody and everybody who wanted to go. We wanted to bring back the ancient purpose of spas as places of sanctuary for mind and body. We wanted to showcase the variety of spa experiences available to every individual, occasion, location and preference. Crucially, we wanted to make spas more accessible to anyone with a major health problem or disability, and work with industry leaders to make sure that anyone who had previously felt marginalised never feels that way again. Over the past decade, that’s exactly what we’ve done. We believe in the many positive benefits of spa experiences and that they can and should be available to help the health and wellbeing of everybody. That’s why we are working to make spas accessible and enjoyable for every body by providing an unrivalled choice of spas and spa packages, through first class service and convenience for all of our customers. Our ‘spa break for every body’ ethos is central to what we do. When we started Spabreaks.com, spas were often seen as the domain of women with too much money and too much time on their hands, and that they were for a stereotypical ‘body beautiful’. We believe that spa experiences are for real benefit to all of us and that spas are places where everyone should feel safe and looked after. We believe they are for everyone at every age, gender, weight and state of wellness, and that there are experiences, treatments and destinations that everybody and every body can enjoy. I was looking to book a SPA break for my sisters ‘special’ Birthday, Sophie was so helpful and really friendly, she made booking our weekend away so easy and helped us to get the best package that suited us!!

Great Customer Service

I had a voucher as a gift from my children and experienced a little difficulty in booking online. I contacted customer Services and was helped by Sophie who went above and beyond to help. She enquired with the venue about my options and booked me a great package with a very welcome bit of discount too! Great customer service, looking forward to my Spa day!

Can't recommend Charlotte enough

I booked a spa day yesterday using a loyalty voucher and I wanted to book another one today with my new loyalty voucher generated from yesterdays booking. When it hadn't come through after 24 hours, I went on the online chat and was fortunate enough to be connected to Charlotte.

I don't have time to sit on the phone so an online chat is my go to. And they are often a struggle. It was an absolute joy to get Charlotte on the other end of the chat today who not only booked my spa break and added the discount but matched my energy and positivity. I loved the fact she humanised herself, no jargon and it was just a great experience.

At the end of the chat, she gave me her direct email address for future contact. And I WILL be contacting her! Awesome customer service! Thank you Charlotte

Excellent Customer Service from Charlotte

Where do I begin? I was searching online for a great spa deal when I came across SpaBreaks. I was trying to book the Sunday Reset package, and although the rooms appeared available, the price was incorrectly showing as £1,000. This nearly caused me to miss out on the deal entirely, especially as a friend had previously booked through you several times and highly recommended it.

The following day, I checked the website again and noticed the pricing had returned to normal (well correct). I immediately began the booking process, but suddenly the eight available rooms for the Sunday Reset package had disappeared - Deluxe, balcony etc so I missed out, even though they were showing 10 minutes before.

Naturally, I felt a little stressed and disappointed, thinking I had missed out. However, it became clear there was an issue with the booking system, as the booking would still proceed but only with twin beds, which was not what I had selected. Every other package continued to show room availability, including spa treatments. I even contacted the hotel directly, and they confirmed availability, although it still wasn’t appearing correctly on the website.

Thankfully, I was connected with Charlotte via the online chat and later called back specifically asking to speak with her. I cannot praise her enough. She listened carefully, understood the issue immediately, and took the initiative to check directly with the hotel regarding the apparent glitch. Thanks to her help, I was able to successfully book the Sunday Reset package and save my planned weekend away.

I’m absolutely over the moon and wanted to ensure Charlotte’s manager is aware of the exceptional level of service she provided. She is a genuinely empathetic, professional, and dedicated member of your customer service team, and I truly believe she deserves recognition for her hard work.

This experience has left a very positive impression, and I will definitely be booking through SpaBreaks again in the future. In fact, I had already recommended your service to 10 other people just a few weeks ago.

Please feel free to reach out if you would like any further feedback. And if possible, perhaps you could also let the hotel know it’s a special occasion so they can look after us a little too!

Booked a spa weekend for my birthday...

Booked a spa weekend for my birthday...

They cancelled 3 days before, no alternative given.

So short notice both myself and my partner couldn't cancel our leave so we took 2 days off for nothing.

Then wouldn't give a reasonable voucher to apologise for the complete mess they made.

Also its now been 17 days since they cancelled and despite requesting a refund there is no refund in sight and I'm going to have to appeal it through the bank.

I will never book through them again and I'd urge everyone to take my warning.

I am truly sorry to hear that there was an issue with your booking at The Continental Hotel, Hounslow, and we sincerely apologise for the disappointment and inconvenience this caused. We fully appreciate how upsetting it must have been to experience this disruption, especially so close to your planned visit.

Spabreaks.com strive to provide a consistently high standard of customer service, and we are genuinely sorry that those standards were not met on this occasion. We were advised that the spa at The Continental Hotel, Hounslow was due to close temporarily for operational reasons, and we apologise deeply that you were not informed of this until relatively near to your travel date. We understand how frustrating and disappointing that must have been.

I can confirm that a full refund was processed on 7th May, and a goodwill gesture voucher was emailed to you on 1st May. Please could I kindly ask you to check with your bank, and to contact our Customer Services Team if the refund has not yet appeared in your account.

We are very sorry again for the inconvenience and disappointment caused, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us.
