Created by Abi Selby, Spabreaks.com is a spa booking service working with more than 1300 spa destinations in the UK and overseas and arranging spa days and breaks for up to 6,000 people each week. From a small team of three, we have grown to a family of more than 90 members of staff with an office of knowledgeable spa consultants in Brighton. But those are just the numbers. Spabreaks.com's founding principle was to make the world of spa more accessible to anybody and everybody who wanted to go. My daughter paid £500 for one night dinner bed and breakfast with access to the spa facilities valid until Dec2026
Also on the voucher it said book anytime.
To my disappointment when I tried to book the hotel last week I was told the offer had expired and was only available till April 2026.
I feel I should have received a full refund as what I bought is no longer available due to no fault of my own . If the correct date of the voucher had been printed on purchase there would be no issue .
I've been told to book another hotel but if you buy a voucher for the Old Course St Andrews that's where you expect to stay.
Customer service and customer relations were both very unhelpful.
I would avoid this company and buy a spa voucher from your preferred hotel instead of dealing with them.
A very disappointed customer, avoid this company. I wouldn't even rate them one star.

Booking was smooth and easy for our spa break. We were not contacted to arrange timings for any meals/treatments, but when I contacted spa breaks to adjust for my preference their customer service was great. And they accommodated our vegan dietary requirements for the afternoon tea.

I would not recommend this unprofessional, rude company who very nearly ruined my precious break. All I did was try and amend the dates of my break - "no problem" I was told when I rang and if I hadn't phoned to get confirmation I would not have realised they weren't able to do it. It took about 15 phone calls between Spabreaks and Macdonald Hotels to get it resolved and it was only Macdonald Hotel's intervention and listening back to phone calls to realise how I had been misled that enabled the change to happen. As it was Spabreaks - as a final act of spite having told me to "stop ringing them" - did not tell Macdonald Spa until the MORNING of my original booking and I only knew of their further incompetence when the Spa itself rang to confirm my booking. Rude woman called Darcey was SO rude, told me to stop ringing them and if I hadn't I would have lost over £400 and not got my break. Awful company. I will always book direct with the hotel in future.

Me and my Wife had originally booked an Overnight Stay at the Lodge on Loch Lomond Hotel in Luss for 02/05/26 which included an evening three course meal, breakfast and one hour access to their thermal spa.
Unfortunately, due to an error on Spa Breaks online booking calendar we were unable to go on this date due to the hotel having no availability. I was contacted by Kaya who brought this to our attention as quickly as she could. Kaya did her very best to honour our voucher, including looking at alternative spa breaks at hotels within our general area. Luckily however we had our heart set on going to Lodge on Loch Lomond and Kaya was able to honour our booking and move it from the Saturday to the Sunday instead.
It made for a superb May day weekend. The hotel and surrounding scenery was beautiful. The meals was top notch and we're already considering going back again! We'd have no hesitation in booking with Spa breaks again due to it's great value for money and prompt, friendly and efficient customer service!

I put 4 stars as I had to call back a couple of times as an email to pay wasn’t received and for a refund but that didn’t effect the good service.

We only had a treatment but was unable to enjoy the steam room, sauna and swimming pool.
My husband and I had the divine massage, it was effective and relaxing. We both appreciated it.
The lady who treated us was thorough, professional and friendly.
