My local electrian quoted 600 to supply fit a simple intercom and latch to replace an existing system on 2 flats in Tottenham. Their london office got some guys in Dagenham. No website published contact number based miles away in dagenham. Their quote £4800.
They said 2 zlectricians and 1 days work when i eventually found a contact spoke to them. My accountant was flabbergasted as was i. Their absurd quote was for 1 days work equal to almost 5 months rent for my flat which they charge £000s to manage. They also said getting quotes incur a charge. Complete BS as i got multiple good tradespeople to give quotes free of charge and do work.
Their ceo was notified.

Very disappointing experience with Stirling Ackroyd.

I have been trying to contact them regarding my refund for some time, but instead of resolving the matter professionally, communication became increasingly difficult while I was repeatedly requesting my money back.

After several follow-up emails asking for an update on my refund, my emails appeared to stop going through and I received no meaningful response or explanation.

The lack of communication, poor customer service, and delay in processing my refund has been extremely frustrating.

I would expect a professional agency to deal with refund requests transparently, respectfully, and within a reasonable timeframe. Based on my experience, I would advise others to keep detailed records of all communication when dealing with this company.

Mela S has been an excellent property manager and has been quick with her response and keeping us up to date.

She replies promptly to our emails and always has answers with our questions. All that we need fixing in our flat, she sorts it out immediately. I purchased a property with the tenants after one week the letting department only knew this was not managed by them because I was chasing the deposit and back rent, both me and the tenant have been chasing this for weeks, if you try calling the phone it is never picked up or calls returned absolutely useless we are now approaching one month into the purchase and still not sorted this issue has also been highlighted to customer services and still not resolved, SA are withholding other peoples money and have no urgency on releasing 4 weeks on a very disappointing service.

One week after this review still no response from SA on this matter I would advise not to let your property via the lettings department at Canary Wharf.

This issue was raised on the 17th March today is the 27th April still not resolved this is a well known high street agent shocking service.

The property manager David Umney was so good and responsive. Everytime we had a problem, David was quick to respond and it was so refreshing to see his quick responsiveness and care.

I had a very pleasant experience with this agency, they were attentive from the beginning and were very communicative, even in my abrupt departure due to unforeseen circumstances they were very helpful in handling the process to ease my transition. Alaa was very responsive and had a very helpful attitude that made it very easy during my stay.

Overall, my experience with Sterling Ackroyd was positive. A particular thank you to our property manager, Briana Trejos Mantinan. Briana was wonderful to deal with, prompt to queries, great at keeping us informed and very polite and kind. She’s an asset to the Sterling Ackroyd team!

Making a point here to say Jordan at the Brook Green branch since he came into the role at that office has been outstanding. Honest, clear communication, always responds quickly when he can and clearly does his best to ensure everything runs smoothly in a very difficult and competitive business. A credit to the firm.

We sold our house via the Egham team last year. Mark, who is the Regional Manager, and Harry who was our Sales agent were both excellent, very professional. We had three valuations and Stirling gave us the highest of the three. Normally the advice is to not just go with the highest price, but Mark, Harry and Ben who came to see the house, all genuinely had such enthusiasm and confidence in finding us a buyer, we took the leap. They did not disappoint and we sold for just 5k under our asking price, far more than we expected. Harry kept in regular contact and always called me back if he was out of the office. If you are selling in the Egham area I would highly recommend Stirling Ackroyd over the other prominent agent in the area who did not even bother to to call us back after their much lower valuation.

Rob and the team kept me informed at all times concerning visits and information on the visits.
