As manufactured to order, had to wait 10 weeks to arrive in UK + a further couple of weeks for delivery to home.
Delivery staff helpful, friendly & efficient. Delighted with our new chairs - comfortable & aesthetically pleasing. Only wish we had bought them years ago!

We purchased the Buckingham range. The product itself looks lovely despite the wrinkled leather and insufficient padding but we are experiencing some initial problems with the Glide System tensioning for the recline function, in that the wheels are either ridiculously stiff or jammed. This is currently under investigation. However, we have since noticed on these chairs/sofas in furniture stores that even when working properly, it is very difficult for the average person to adjust the 'glide' wheels which are sited on both sides of the inside of the seat between the seat cushion and the armrest. They both need to be adjusted at the same time. It is extremely hard to even reach both wheels at the same time while seated, let alone actually manage to turn them in harmony (if at all). Don't be fooled by the lady with beautifully manicured nails in the Stressless 'how to' video! Glide lightly with the merest touch they don't. Judder and stick, squash and hurt your hands badly, and wrench your shoulders they do.

I'm also really disappointed with the Stressless after sales service. There is no ' Welcome to Stressless furniture, this is what you need to know' pack.
No instructions are given to the customer, for example, on adjusting the tension which is so fundamental to the whole system. Trying to get information from their consumer service team in the UK is extremely frustrating. You'd think they would be proud to pass on as much information as possible about their hallowed product to the customer but that has not been our experience. They give a strong impression of not being much interested in their customers' concerns. The company ethos appears to be all about sales and not customer satisfaction.

Requiring a chair in which I could rest as well as for sitting I opted for the Stressless Consul, small size. It's perfect and so good to have a seat where my feet touch the ground. Should I wish to 'put my feet up' the accompanying stool is ideal. Easy to recline. Quality is great and delivery was when promised and on time.
Early days yet but very happy with it.

Product:
The Stressless Wing is well made and exceptionally comfortable. Supports me whether I sit upright or partially/fully reclined.
Delivery:
On-time - both in terms of waiting time for product to be ready for delivery ... and at arranged date/time of delivery.
I'd been given to expect a caring delivery team who would make sure it was placed where I wanted it and would explain how to adjust the chair and footstool. However, on the day, the product was just put in the room, signed for and that was it! Very disappointing.

Fortunately, I visited the shop where I had purchased it and they explained what I needed to know. Armed with this information, I was able to find the perfect settings for me.

Suggestion:
Perhaps an instruction leaflet could be included. This would benefit the original owner and anyone who subsequently obtained the product.

I have hankered after a Stressless recliner for about 40 years after trying one in a showroom. It has always been at the top of my wish list but the very bottom of my priority list, until I retired recently. My present to myself on retirement was my Consul chair and footstool which I absolutely love.
I had previously bought a budget (although not cheap) swivel recliner for my son to use as I hog the sofa! That proved false economy as it wobbled after a few weeks, was quite uncomfortable after an hour or so and I also scuffed a newly painted wall as I spun it around in its recline position to return its back to the wall.
Hence, after a few weeks of deliberation, I bit the bullet to buy the Stressless Consul and footstool as it was the cheapest of the recliner range that I could afford. I chose the medium sized batick leather chair to fit my 6ft medium build son.
The chair and footstool arrived a week ago and my son now has the sofa as I have commandeered the chair. It is so comfortable and fits perfectly into to the tight space we have. The reclining tension I chose from the side knobs means the back reverts to upright quickly when I get up from the chair, so when I spin it to return its back to the wall, it doesn’t collide with it!
The chair and footstool are so comfortable for watching tv, reading, listening to podcasts, and I find myself easily adjusting my recline with my body weight according to how I’m feeling. The mechanics of the chair are so smooth and the seat and back are supportive.
I can say with all honesty that I don’t regret my investment and the 40 year wait to buy it was worth it!

After receiving the armchair, I realised the shop made the wrong order, ordering an M instead of the S I tried in the shop. When I emailed the shop, they ignored my request for an exchange.

What a chair. I liked the chair in the store but the colour, softness of the leather is so much more than I was expecting.
The support the chair gives you is second to none. My granddaughter has her eye on it!

Great product but very difficult to move due to the weight.

Replace two chairs after 22 years, hope the replacements will last as long, this longevity makes for top class items and value for money

Very good over the whole purchase process

Purchased an Opal recliner chair, with footstool. Excellant craftsmanship, quality materials, sturdy, truly supportive and very comfortable. Long lasting, (previous purchase 25 years ago and still inconstant use). Recline relax total enjoyment.

Design is flawed. Unless seated bolt upright, there is little comfort. V odd.
