Having just been cheated out of so much money by Uber when I tried to book a car in advance to meet me at the station to take me home (for doing absolutely nothing - simply because of the way their booking system works - when I told a friend what had happened, he responded "What bastards"), I was relieved to be able to book an ordinary taxi in advance without being cheated. I will never again risk trying to book with Uber.

Having then booked a taxi in advance with Universal Taxi Loughborough through Taxicode, I managed to catch an earlier train back to Loughborough and was able to change the time of meeting and get confirmation from the driver without any problem, which was a great relief. Not being a regular user of taxis, it seemed expensive and I had to pay extra for receiving an SMS confirmation without which I could not have changed the time of meeting. But the driver was really helpful and carried my luggage to the front door.

Good service - on time, convenient as someone not form the area and not wanting to spend an age searching for local taxi firms. However, the price was almost double what I paid for the same journey when I booked direct later. Beware!

Absolutely great ontime service; we needed to be at a party, on time, so booked through Taxicode. Driver on outgoing journey, we couldn't fault, he was polite, helpful, and the car was beautiful. The return journey, by Hawk Express was just a usual taxi journey...less help, less everything, which, considering we'd paid over £20 for a 2ml journey, wasn't what we were expecting. I will use you again, but please use the same driver for each journey, and no Hawk Express...”
