STAY AWAY

STAY AWAY. I have never been so disappointed with a service, this companies service is quite honestly criminal. Over 3 months for a polish which cost 300 pounds. Even the laces of the sneakers have stains on. Communication is rude and rare. No offer of compensation. I shall be reporting to Trading Standards.

I wish I could give a lower

I wish I could give a lower. The communication with the Restory team was atrocious, the price was steep and they mis delivered my shoes a few times. What a joke. Avoid at all costs

I’m so annoyed I didn’t check these…

I’m so annoyed I didn’t check these reviews first! Do not use this service!

I sent off two bags and after paying over £500 for the repainting I absolutely cannot see the difference - one of them is exactly the same and the second is such a bad colour match! It also took over two months for this! I’ve asked for before and after pictures because it’s ridiculous. Do not use!

I can’t understand why Harrods and…

I can’t understand why Harrods and Selfridges support these guys. Feels like someone vandalised my gorgeous boots and it took 4 weeks for basic basic job!!! I ignored trust pilot reviews and here we are! Please avoid these people.

They think it’s ok to destroy the box…

They think it’s ok to destroy the box for a £200 pair of shoes that they received them in. The shoes were sent back in a cloth sack with hardly any protection. Offered £10 credit to be done over again by them.
I wish I’d read the reviews before using this company.

If I can give 0 star I would. Unprofessional and slow service

If I can give 0 star I would. Terrible, slow service and overpriced. I sent some shoes for quote and repair. It took them 1 week to give me a quote. I didn't know if they stole the shoes or anything else. Their general phone number is not monitored as I called multiple times and noone picked up. At the end they quoted 310GBP to change a pair of zips for short ankle boots. Not to mention that you have to pay to post the item to them. Really not worth the money. At least the service could have been better for those prices.

If you live in London, save your money and go to Harrods Cobler. Same job but for 150GBP.

The Restory have ruined two pairs of christian louboutin shoes. Colour does not match on sole repair with the worst joinery I have ever seen. Do not use this company.

My jeans have disappeared

My jeans have disappeared. They were meant to be delivered on a specific date via DHL, but they never arrived, and no one has got back to me. Assuming this is actually a scam, and they never actually send you back any clothes.

Nonexistent customer service - ignored me completely

Have sent WhatsApp messages and photos asking for a quote. After one initial message confirming I could send pics and they would quote I haven’t heard anything. Have tried follow up messages and total silence. Been a month now and absolutely nothing

Perhaps only some customers are worth their time. Judging from reviews here it’s not worth the money anyway. Totally disgusted, never had my first experience with a company being totally ignored before.

Initial quote much lower than actual cost

Initial quote - after sending pictures and description - to fix a tote bag was estimated at gbp 245. After I paid DHL to send the bag the quote jumped up to gbp 900. For example to fix the strap was initially estimated at 140 - however after I had sent the bag in - at 355. When I asked an explanation for such a significant increase of the same service/ materials none was provided. I assume the initial quotes are on purpose given much lower and after the items are sent increased in the attempt to extort more money as you have gone through the trouble of packaging and paying for DHL. So I would not recommend using this service.

Bloody Useless

Sent 2 pairs of shoes off at a considerable cost.

First pair was quoted more than the shoes cost to repair! £400 for a broken strap?

Second pair of Gucci trainers they charged me £55 for cleaning - a job I could have done to that standard with a packet of £1 make up wipes and then the replace the laces with cheap laces that don’t even match.

Avoid these set of bandits, it’s cheaper and less frustrating to just buy new shoes!!

Initial quote doubled in price

Sent photos for an indicative quote to repair piping and a dislodged eyelet on a Mulberry bag. Initial quote was £210, revised quote after sending my bag was £515! More than the original price of the bag. Highly disappointed in the service, the second quite included additional services I hadn’t requested and the price of the piping repairs had increased by 50%. Waste of time...

UNDERWHELMED!!

I'd contacted their support initially to see whether they would be able to turn around my request within approx 10 days and was told it should be fine and they would keep an eye on my shoes through the process.

The key bit of info I had shared, as I needed these back for my wedding day!!

If they had told me no chance, I wouldn't have risked it, but initial interaction was positive.

Needless to say, I didn't have these shoes for my wedding day and when they did eventually come back, the clean/polish was far from special and I could have done a better job myself and wished I had.

Don't waste your time/money, I would not recommend at all.

Poor service and unhelpful staff. What a pity!!!

I had a burn centered right in front of…

I had a burn centered right in front of my Gucci waist bag. It wasn’t an easy job. I totally understood why they weren’t able to accommodate me. They did a fantastic job on filling the burned leather. The only issue was matching the color. It was several shades darker. My suggestion is if the color of your bag is exotic, not many people will be able to fix it. They gave me a partial refund for the work that was unsatisfactory. Response times were great and they were polite and explained that the job was more difficult that they presumed. I respect the restory for their honesty. I’m satisfied with The Restory even though the couldn’t fully restore the bag. Will consider them in the future.

Great service all round

I had them add a rubber sole to my saint laurent boots. They did it so well with a vibram sole that has added grip. The customer service is fantastic and the turn around was very quick. So impressed with the service.

Very very poor service

Very very poor service. Handed in my items did not hear anything from the company for over 9 day , i then had to call them directly chasing them up in regards to any updates they then proceeded to tell me they had an issue with the form (they had lost my form) so if I hadn’t have contacted them my items would have just been sat there collecting dust. I did not even receive an apology when I called to chase up my items. Left a very sour taste in my mouth. Avoid this company if possible.

Poor service. High cost low quality.

Disappointing experience all round.
Charged an unreasonable price for a bad quality repair.
Took many emails to get a response and no willingness to resolve the matter.

Total con! They charged me to clean the lining of my Prada bag and it was returned to me the same condition. They hadn't even made an attempt to clean it. Refused to issue a refund claiming "I am entitled to my opinion". Please do not waste your money. The company is a scam.

Successful removal of stains is dependent on different factors - mainly what the stain is, what the material of your bag is, and how long the stain has been there.

Improved my Chloe Faye bag immensely

Improved my Chloe Faye bag immensely! The bag is a mix of leather and suede, both of which were pretty delicate and quick to scratch/scuff/look worn (much faster than my other bags). I got an online quote from the Restory and dropped it at Selfridges. They recommended a few extra steps but the price wasn't much more (did more than a cleaning, they restored some of the corners of the suede that had faded and improved the scratches).

Unfortunately I had to leave London earlier than planned and with very short notice due to COVID-19, so I left without my bag. I emailed them about my situation and they shipped it to where I am now. Very easy to communicate with throughout the entire process. And most importantly, my bag looks almost brand new! Worth the price for sure. I would definitely take my bags to them again
