I do not recommend this service at all! I was charged £705 and the bag doesn’t look any different from when they collected it.
I dropped it off to Harrods on the 28th of January and after 10 weeks, the bag was neither properly cleaned, nor restored!
I sent it back, telling them that I was unhappy and they delivered it again without changing anything! Their answer was: “We did everything we could!”. Well, apparently they can charge a lot for doing very little!
I wish I read the reviews before, because seeing now how bad they are, I would have never used this company!
Please, please, read the reviews and never trust a company which has more bad reviews than good reviews!
I only used them because they are in partnership with Harrods and I expected them to be a reputable company. Their services are awful and I shall share my experience with Harrods too, as I am certain that they should not work together!
The bad decision not to read the reviews cost me £705!
DO NOT USE “The Restory”, because they do not restore! They just keep your things for a while and they charge you for it.

Repair of a coat
Repair of a coat . What an amazing job this team have done to repair a cut on the sleeve of a coat also removed a black mark and repaired a hole in the pocket. I can honestly say I will forever use this company. They keep you updated on your item until its returned. I received the coat back Friday and I am amazed at the work the team have done . Thank you to everyone from this company you are all amazing.

Completely thrilled
I am completely thrilled with the results of The Restory cleaning my Celine suede jacket - it has a horrific stain on the sleeve (not sure what it was) but I thought it was never going to come out! It has come back as good as new - Thank you SO much, I couldn't be more impressed.

Complete disaster - Avoid!
I am beyond discussed with the service and professionalism of this business. I booked and paid for a collection on line and stayed in all day. Despite many chases to confirm the courier documentation, to affix to my parcel the day before a booked collection for 4 x pairs of louboutin’s and 1 x pair of Jimmy choos, I was ignored.
Further to this on the day of expected pick up, I had WhatsApp dialogue and was told they couldn’t call me back as someone else was on the phone - embarrassing/ shocking / frustrating and deeply concerning. Via this platform I send proof of payment, my address and a text reminder from the courier - I was told this was a technical glitch!
The final insult was that when I did talk with someone I was told a manager might call me back on Tuesday!
Thankfully they do not have my valuable items (worth in excess of £3K) - avoid at all cost! Use shoe & bag spa instead!

The process from start to finish was super easy, booking collection (which was on time), updated on when the shoes arrived and very soon after a quotation for the restoration work. The shoes were ready swiftly and to a very high standard. My favourite Malone Souliers are now back to their original beauty. Thank you

Can’t recommend this company. Scheduled a bag collection on Tuesday, paid for it, but no one came. Tried calling their customer service three days in a row - always went to voicemail. Tried emailing - no response. No idea what the customer service is doing all day.

Chanel bag clean
I’m so pleased with this service! I sent my Chanel bag for a clean as it had an awful mark on the inside of the pocket which may have been chewing gum, I didn’t think it would come out but it’s spotless! It only took 2 weeks instead of the 8+ weeks I was advised, and communication was great via email. They used DHL to return the bag to me and the delivery was seamless. Would definitely recommend and use again!

Sent my wife bag for repair and PAID 25th October, promised it would be back for Christmas. I have sent 3 emails and a couple of phone calls - all unanswered. I'm now wondering if it's a scam? They have my money and a very expensive bag. Maybe, they may respond now. How can I give them a better review?

Unfortunately, I would not recommend this service.
The drop off, communication and everything until my bag was meant to be returned was super easy.
However, my bag was meant to be delivered 8 days ago, I have now left 3 emails and a voicemail with their customer service team and nobody will come back to me.
I have spent hundreds of pounds on a bag repair that it looks like I will never see.

Stay Away - this company doest provide service as they are pride the do - they charged me a ridiculous amount of money for fix a chain in a brand bag I have and asked specifically to fix it with the same materials. I sent them the Chaim two months ago only to receive an answer now that they can provide the same colour of the chain - so unprofessional. I wish I wouldn't send my chain to them ! My advise to you - look for a different company and reliable one - they are definitely not!

Underwhelming service
I am a little underwhelmed with the service I have received. I sent off a Louis Vuitton Noe bag for professional cleaning and specifically asked for the vachetta and gold hardware to be cleaned. The process of getting the quote was easy enough as was arranging collection of the bag. The bag was sent off in November and I expected a 6 week turnaround time. It would be nice to not have to chase up expected time of completion but the communication by email was straightforward and I received a prompt reply from customer services which I was happy with.
I received my bag and I must say I’m underwhelmed! The bag is clean - I can see that. The interior and vachetta has been cleaned as much as possible given the amount of wear the bag has had but still underwhelmingly so. The reason was sending it off in the first place it to get a professional clean rather than what I have received which I could manage myself. However, the hardware remains untouched and I’ve had to use Barkeeper’s Friend to get it as shiny as possible until I next send it off for a professional clean.
Also the bag has not been stuffed correctly and so has excessive creases in the canvas which will take a while to reshape. So again, unimpressive.
The other issue I have is with DHL. You are asked to book a specific time for collection and return which they do not adhere too. When one calls DHL you are told it will happen “by the end of the day” which isn’t good enough for this service.
Would I use this service again? I’m unsure at this stage as I expected more for £95 plus postage. I’ve asked for a quote for cleaning and restoration for a Chanel but I won’t be sending that off to the Restory. Perhaps for a simple clean I will send off my LV bag again but I’m not sure it’s worth the price tag and will be looking for competitive quotes.

After years of sitting unused in my closet, The Restory brought my grandmother’s bag back to life. Their amazing atelier was able to maintain all of the traditional elements of a Chanel bag, while also creating something beautiful, modern and totally unique which I am in love with. It’s a nerve racking thing to decide to completely change the colour of a white bag (from which there’s no turning back!) but it could not have been in safer hands. The process was collaborative, from choosing the dye colour for the bag to the type of material and colour for the piping, so you feel like you are involved in every step and they were always happy to provide an update and an opinion on what they thought would look best. Not only that but the craftsmanship is incredible so I know that the finished product will last for at least another generation! I can’t thank you all enough for giving this bag a second chance.

Very disjointed and unhelpful service with poor communication. Please avoid!
I originally arranged a collection of my trainers for 07/12/21, however when nobody came to collect I had to chase them, rather than being contacted myself, and organise another collection. This was set for 17/12/21. This collection went ahead and I received a Confirmation of Arrival email from Restory on the same day. I was then expecting a quote and recommendation of services email to be provided- however nothing came through and I again had to chase them. I got back in contact on 02/01/22 asking for a quote and a commitment of how long it would take them to clean my shoes and return them to me. Given that this was now nearly a month after my original collection appointment, I was becoming very frustrated. A quote was then provided but they would not indicate how long the service would take. After reading the other reviews on Trust Pilot I decided the safest route was to abort and simply ask that my shoes be returned to me. This was done within 3 days of my request - however they came back in a gift bag and not the original trainer box I had sent them in. When I contacted the Restory asking for my box be returned to me, they claimed it had been damaged significantly in transit so they had made the decision to throw it away. Given that there were only 2 hours between the courier collecting my shoes, which I deliberately double boxed with a thick outside box, and the Restory receiving them, I find this very hard to believe. Other reviews also seem to show that they will just destroy any box you send them. Overall a very poor experience and I certainly would not feel comfortable trusting this business with my high end luxury trainers - there are much better alternatives out there.

I can honestly say that I have never encountered a more incompetent and infuriating service. Our shoes we're taken hostage for months with no updates, we were charged a fortune for works that we're never executed. " Customer Service" is appalling. AVOID, you'll have a more fruitful outcome by throwing your beloved shoes in the blender and watching them shred to oblivion.
