Lovely service good honest tradesmen not looking to rip you off

These guys know their stuff,rang up,placed order,new box built in a day,fitted the week after,drives beautifully,jim,mark and lacey were extremely helpful,they even arrange the courier to take the old gearbox in exchange,all fees were transparent and up front,my mechanic who fitted it will now be using them in the future.
This is a very professional service they provide,even a 12 month warranty on it,ordered,built,sent,fitted,old one returned,all within 14 days,cannot thank them enough,proper 5 star service!

Very straight forward any issues there on it I felt very comfortable with leaving my car with them and they call and talk to you with respect

I recently had a fault code appear on my Audi Q3 40tfsi quattro automatic.
After supplying Marc with this code he quickly diagnose a faulty mechatronic unit. Whilst I was shocked at the price to replace it ,the service and communication i received from the Faversham Gearbox Centre was superb . I was kept informed all along the way at each stage of the job. The car is now back to performing as it should. And completed in 10 working days. Would definitely recommend them to my family and friends. Thanks To all of you for getting my car back on the road.

After 15 long and incredibly frustrating months without our car, we finally got it back — and we honestly cannot thank Gear Box Company Bournemouth enough.

After being repeatedly let down elsewhere, they took on a problem that had already dragged on far too long and sorted it quickly, professionally and efficiently.

A special mention has to go to Jim — AKA “Legend” — because that is exactly what he was. Taking on somebody else’s problem is never easy, particularly after so much time had already passed, but Jim was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. He was helpful, reassuring, knowledgeable and clearly determined to get the car sorted properly and back to us.

After 15 months of stress, having someone simply take ownership of the problem and get the job done was an enormous relief. The difference in service was night and day.

We are genuinely so grateful to Jim and the whole team. If you need gearbox work done and want a company that actually knows what they are doing, communicates properly and gets results, I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Gear Box Company Bournemouth.

So where shall I start? I was first told that they would keep me updated about my car never happened. Took them nearly a month to sort out gearbox they reconditioned it every time I phoned up they said that they were gonna start on it in the middle of the week. This happened three weeks on the trot. I finally got a phone call on a Friday afternoon at 10 to 5 knowing that they were shut for the weekend. They never left me a message until I phoned them again Monday, and they told me my car was ready so I wouldn’t have been able to pick the car up at the weekend so why did they phone? I would never recommend them to do the work for you. The only person who was any good was obviously the mechanic did a good job on the gearbox but the office staff never made an effort even when I went and picked the car up There were three guys there not one of them spoke to me they left the girl to deal with me and never told me what was actually wrong with gearbox, so I wouldn’t recommend them

One of the most trusting companies I’ve left my car with, the work they’ve carried out was 10/10 cannot thank them enough asked for pictures and they provided cannot recommend them enough will be booking my other car in for a gearbox fix in the near future

Very efficient but the steering wheel was not centred and I received no reply to my email to the company asking if they would pay to have it aligned as the car had to be booked into our local garage.

Really wanted to give some appreciation to Mark and the Gearbox Center, I was really struggling with an issue on my car he took the time to speak me, give me valuable advice and watch a video and also i followed with him thereafter. This was all knowing that I most likely couldnt offer anything financially as I am quite far away. Great Service and I would defenitly recommend to work with this company. Thank you once again.

I want to raise serious concerns about this company’s conduct. From my experience, their behaviour borders on fraudulent. They made claims about our car and attempted to charge us over £2,000 for a repair they could not even confidently justify. We told them we would be seeking a second opinion, and due to the other garage being fully booked for more than a month, I had to wait before proceeding.

Throughout that time, we repeatedly requested a copy of their diagnostic findings—by both phone and email—but they never provided anything. Each time we called, no one seemed to know what had actually been done to our vehicle. When my wife collected the car, the man at the counter openly admitted he was only “80% sure” that the £2,000 repair they recommended would even fix the issue. Another staff member, who wasn’t present and hadn’t test driven the car, insisted over the phone that the diagnostic had been done and that she shouldn’t need any further reassurance.

She refused to authorise the repair and took the car elsewhere. The second garage, a reputable one, charged us £80 and confirmed that they could not find any fault with the gearbox at all. Meanwhile, this company charged us £180 for a diagnostic they still have not provided—despite the appointment taking place in March.

To make matters worse, I have since learned that this company regularly attempts to have legitimate Trustpilot reviews removed in order to make their business appear more credible than it is. This behaviour, combined with mine and my wife’s experiences, raises serious questions about their integrity and transparency.

Enquires about their mechanronic repair service . to get a response how that the fault would be fixed with a rebuild of the gearbox .... nearly £3k costs
found a guy that refurbed the mechatronic unit for £90 posted and return . done oil change and hey ho car runs and drive great again .

I had a gearbox malfuction light come up on my Rs5 audi,took it to audi,(marshels) in canterbury,they said it was a sensor in the gear box,charged me £3500,got car back,2 weeks later light came back on,big argument with MARSHELS of canterbury,wanted another £7000 to drop whole gear box out.
Fed up i looked online ,found the company The GEARBOX centre in kent,cant heap praise on them enough,they said bring my car in,dropped gear box out,done the repair that was needed,called me back within 2 days saying job was done,(MARSHELS quoted a 7 day repair period).So i went and picked it up,no sales person talk or stuff you dont want to hear,just collect your keys and away,has been a year now,hasnt missed a beat,runs like a dream,really highly recommend the GearBox centre,done a fantastic job.
The audi garage might look all shinny and top notch ,believe its not,The GearBox centre is grass roots engineering,

Marc and the guys at the Gearbox centre were fantastic, always up front and genuine in costs and parts.

Had a gearbox done on a Nissan Juke they where very helpful did a great job the gearbox is excellent runs well, highly recommend this company very helpful and professional

The staff were helpful friendly and knowledgable, they had time to listen to what I had experienced with my car and took it for a test ride and also ran a diagnostic test to confirm their suspicions. I was told up front what it would cost and only had to wait a week to be fitted in for the work to be done. A good experience all round.

Dropped my mums car off as it had a gearbox fault, other garages wouldn’t touch it but it was a breeze to deal with Gearbox Centre. Wait time feels long but understandable with the amount of work involved, any issues or concerns you can reach out via WhatsApp to them and usually get a reply within an hour. I used this to get updates on rough ETA of completion and collection ect. 10/10 service and would recommend them to anyone, my cousin has also used them on his Range Rover and agrees it was faultless.

Marc from the Customer service team helped along the way and was incredibly genuine in wanting to help.
