I cannot thank The Gearbox Centre Kent enough for the help and service they provided with my SEAT Ateca DSG gearbox issue.

After my vehicle suffered a serious gearbox fault, they quickly diagnosed the problem as a failed DSG mechatronic unit and talked me through the options clearly and honestly. They were extremely helpful throughout the whole process, keeping me informed and making sure I understood what was involved.

What really stood out was their professionalism and willingness to help. They dealt with the warranty process, provided all the information needed, and went above and beyond to make sure the repair was completed properly. They even helped by providing different invoice options to make dealing with the warranty company and supplying dealer easier.

The repair was completed to a very high standard, the communication was excellent, and the vehicle is now driving perfectly again.

It is refreshing to find a specialist company that genuinely cares about its customers and takes pride in their work. I would have no hesitation recommending The Gearbox Centre Kent to anyone needing gearbox repairs or specialist transmission work.

Called yesterday morning with an issue with my wife's car
The guys agreed to do a diagnostic appointment this morning, and after 30 minutes, they have diagnosed the issue as a bent subframe, not the gearbox

Out of 3 garages I contacted only Jim at the Gearbox Centre came back to me with a quote when Matiz auto failed MOT with a transmission oil leak. He kept me informed almost daily of progress and what the issues were and did all he could to help keep costs down by sourcing an extremely hard to find reconditioned torque converter so we didn't have to buy a new one. Can't thank the Gearbox Centre enough and happily recommend them.

Mark and his team was fantastic throughout the process. He really helped us build a strong case for the insurance claim and kept us informed every step of the way. Unfortunately, the claim didn’t work out in the end, but that was beyond their control. The Gearbox Centre is a professional, honest, and trustworthy company that genuinely tries to help its customers. I highly recommend them and would definitely use their services again.

The gearbox was delivered early so it was at the garage when I bought my car in .
I was in communication with them regularly and nothing was too much trouble for them .

This company are basically fraudulent. They made claims about my car and wanted to charge me £2000+. I told them I wanted to get a second opinion so I waited to take it to another garage that was fully booked for over a month. I asked them to send me the findings of their diagnostic multiple times by phone and email but they never shared the findings with me. Over the phone no one seemed to have a clue what had actually been done. On the day, the man at the counter told me he was 80% sure that the recommended fix (the one that would cost me £2000+) would actually work. Someone over the phone told him he'd done the diagnosis what more guarantee could I want. They were obviously more experienced but were not there and had not test drove my car themselves. Safe to say I did not have the work done with them. The other garage charged me £80 as they could not find a fault with my gearbox but this company ripped me off charging me £180 for nothing. They have still not provided me with the diagnostic report despite it taking place in March.

The team here have a solid quality assurance process, even when the repairs were completed they made sure it was test driven and reviewed by a few senior colleagues before fully signing off the vehicle as ready to be collected.

On the day of collection I had a smooth handover and one of the engineers (I didn't catch his name, but he was a tall bold chap) was super friendly and spent time discussing what the fault was, how it likely happened and what to do to prevent this from happening again.

I found this company mostly on the merits of thier social media platforms and great reviews. I travelled 50+ miles to make sure this work was done by a qualified and knowledgeable team. If you're having issues with your gearbox give this team a shout and rest assured it will get dealt with promptly.

I had a very positive experience with The Gearbox Centre Kent. Marc and the team were professional, helpful and kept me updated throughout the repair. They clearly explained the costs, the parts required and the work being completed.

The Gearbox Centre Faversham, we had issues with an error code relating to the gearbox on our motorhome (Zefiro 696) from our initial email all involved with our problem were professional, polite and efficient. at no point did we feel "cut off" from what was happening. we were positively invited to make contact at anytime for updates and progress. Marc and all his team are most definitely the kind of experts you wish you could meet in all trades, I have no reserve in recommending the team to anyone. I would also add that their facility is one of the very few in the Kent area that can accommodate a "larger" vehicle. in short you have nothing to loose but everything to gain, make the call or send the email get your problem sorted.

Gearbox ordered and dispatched within 2 weeks. Old gearbox collected a month ago.
No return of £400 deposit, several emails unanswered, feeble excuses each call I make.
Not much faith with guarantee if required
Next step is trading standards.
UPDATE : Posted on their Facebook page a couple of days after this review and a different member of staff intervened and deposit is now back in my bank within 24 hours.😊
