The Mortgage Brain Reviews

I had a great experience with Mortgage Brain, especially Louise Onn. From submitting my application to receiving the mortgage offer took about a week, which was far quicker than I expected. Throughout the process Louise kept me informed at every step, responded quickly, and made sure I understood what was happening and what documents were needed. Professional, efficient and genuinely supportive service. Highly recommended.

We are first time buyers and Louise couldn’t have been more helpful. She answered any questions we had and replied to us no matter what day or time. She would check in on us regularly to see how the process was going. We would definitely come back to Louise when we remortgage or buy another house

Louise and the team were supportive, professional, and really fast in sorting my mortgage.
They were fantastic with communication, and patient in helping me throughout.

I would HIGHLY recommend using this company. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have been a client of The Mortgage Brain for several years now and can't recommend them highly enough. Both Ian Nicholls and Louise Onn have provided outstanding customer service from start to finish, helping to secure the mortgage deal that was right for me. Both take the time to understand individual circumstances, nothing is too much trouble. Thank you Louise & Ian, your help and advice is greatly appreciated!

Louise Onn has been an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the whole mortgage process. She is knowledgeable, patient, and always took the time to explain everything clearly. Communication was excellent from start to finish, and she made what can be a stressful process feel smooth and straightforward. A genuinely great person to work with I couldn’t recommend Louise highly enough

Keith Trigg has been great and efficient at dealing my home insurance renewal today and finding the cost effective provider for me. Thank you

Marcus helped me with getting my mortgage onto another fixed rate deal. Marcus was friendly, patient and pragmatic, talking me through my worries about the change in rate since I last fixed and discussing options for the coming years. The process was smooth and I feel confident that I got the best deal on the market at the time and probably still today to be honest! Thanks so much for all your help!

I'm writing to share my experience with The Mortgage Brain, who made the impossible feel possible when I needed a mortgage under challenging circumstances.
Ross was outstanding from day one. He streamlined everything by handling the information gathering and agreement process efficiently online. What really stood out was how determined he was to find the perfect lender for my specific needs.
My situation wasn't easy – I'm on a Skilled Worker visa, needed to borrow around 5.5 times my salary, and only had a 10% deposit (when visa holders typically need 15%). Despite these obstacles, Ross systematically reviewed every available option and worked relentlessly until he secured a Decision in Principle.
His hard work paid off when he found a lender willing to approve my mortgage. After that, Tom, Ian, and the rest of the team took over seamlessly, providing excellent support through phone consultations to arrange my life and home insurance.
Every member of The Mortgage Brain team showed true professionalism, deep knowledge, and genuine care in helping me become a homeowner despite the complications. I'm incredibly grateful for everything they did to support me through this journey.
Highly recommended for anyone facing a difficult mortgage situation.

Recently worked with Anthony to secure a mortgage on a new property. Anthony worked tirelessly to get us the best deal as my credit report was not the best and managed to get us a great deal with a high street lender. Anthony was easy to contact and shared information with us throughout the whole process. I would highly recommend the mortgage brain if you are looking for a mortgage.

I can not recommend Louise at the mortgage brain enough! She is so friendly yet so professional and great at what she does! We didn’t have the best time with our solicitors and she did everything she could to help which was above and beyond! We can not thank her enough.

Louise has been brilliant from start to finish. At the beginning of our journey the lender was being rather awkward, and she handled it calmly and confidently. When our sale fell through and it took a few months to find another buyer, she was able to renegotiate the mortgage at a significantly lower rate once interest rates dropped, which made a huge difference for us. Throughout the whole process she’s been incredibly helpful, friendly, and responsive, and her communication has been clear and reassuring. We felt genuinely supported the entire time and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.

We have just completed on our new house, with the mortgage arranged wonderfully by Lara Goldsmith. Lara was superb and from talking early about re-mortgaging/moving house, paying off Help to Buy and options for a new house budget, provided incredible service throughout the process.
This is the 2nd mortgage I have used The Mortgage Brain for and recommend them to anyone - they take the stress out of the process for you. Thank you Lara!

Just recently completed on the purchase of our new property with the help of Louise. From the first conversation we had over the phone she worked out exactly what was the best way forward in the house move and made everything seem more possible. She was easily contactable and explains things very well when trying to navigate our way round the housing market. She took time in working out what was the best amount of money to put down as a deposit so to make the better interest rates available to us. Buying and selling a house is stressful but with Louise on your side you can actually get over the line and complete the move.

Kirstie has been fantastic and patient with us as first time buyers. She is incredibly knowledgeable and always responds quickly! Highly reccommended!

I cannot recommend The Mortgage Brain highly enough! We are working with Louise. From the very first message, her response time was lightning fast, which immediately gave me confidence that I was in good hands. What truly sets her apart, though, is her endless patience and ability to guide even the most clueless clients (like us!) through the complicated mortgage process without ever making you feel overwhelmed.
She has a remarkable talent for tackling tricky situations; like when an EU citizen doesn’t have a current passport, and still finding a way forward. No matter how many mistakes or questions you throw her way, she remains calm, supportive, and solutions‑focused.
Her professionalism, kindness, and dedication make the entire experience stress‑free. If you’re looking for someone who can handle absolutely anything with grace and efficiency, she’s the one. I’m recommending her to everyone I know.

I used mortgage brain as the company was recommended by a friend very highly. I can honestly say she was not wrong with her recommendation. Our mortgage advisor Louise was able to secure us a mortgage with a brilliant interest rate no problem and faster than I have known before from any other company. She was always on the end of the phone or an email away and this really helped as time was an issue on this occasion. I really can’t fault the service and I would use them again without hesitation. Thank you.

Louise Onn is an absolute superstar. She managed to secure a mortgage offer for me within six business days. Swift, transparent, communicative and kind. Thank you for all your hard work!

Jake was incredibly helpful with all my questions and concerns as a first time buyer.
We were able to figure out what I could afford, and find a fitting mortgage offer to meet that.

Louise at the Mortgage Brain has been excellent throughout our sale and purchase. We are buying to secure our 'forever' home so borrowing a large sum and although a daunting experience, Louise has made the process easy and smooth. She found products that work for us and solutions that have made the purchase possible. Couldn't recommend her more highly!

Louise has been excellent throughout. Very knowledgeable and responding to all queries efficiently and fast. Well done. Will highly recommend.
