Lots of high-quality options

It was easy to compare options and find the bag for me. I've bought from Timbuk2 before and knew I was getting a high quality bag no matter what. They warned me about the slow shipping times, but I didn't mind. It still arrived in a reasonable amount of time, which was about a week.

Repair process is awesome

Repair process is awesome. I had contacted support just to see if replacement quick-releases for an old Commute might be available. They had me send my bag in, they replaced the clips, sewed it back up, and it only took a couple of weeks. You really cannot see the repair. Awesome.

3 month turn around for repair

3 month turn around for repair. My first email for follow up was never responded to. My 2nd one came through and they originally were trying to send me the replacement part.... i sent them my bag, so that's not very helpful.

I actually made a mistake when ordering…

I actually made a mistake when ordering and needed to contact customer service. They were fast in response, professional and courteous in applying a coupon and refunding the difference for me.

Website was easy to navigate and ordering was a piece of cake. Would definitely shop here again.

I ordered the backpack for our grandson for

EXTREMELY slow shipping

EXTREMELY slow shipping, order sitting for a week before a label is even created. UPS still doesn't have the package. Take shipping estimate with a HUGE grain of salt.

You failed to mitigate your error.

You failed to deliver my bag for my trip within 24 days of order payment. You promised to escalate and help at 10 days and never responded further to repeat emails and calls. You could have expedited once you fixed your internal problem to mitigate consequences and you did not try.

AMAZING customer service!

AMAZING customer service!! There were delays in shipping but they kept in touch on my order status, and while it arrived 1 week later than expected, couldn't be happier with my purchase and the service received.

I purchased it 2 weeks ago and it still…

I purchased it 2 weeks ago and it still has not arrived.

Unacceptable when i am laying out
$200+ for a bag.

All you needed to tell me that it was out of stock.

To rectify the situation, you should eat the over night charge and have it expedited.

The poor score is due to the Shipping…

The poor score is due to the Shipping delays, lack of communication and transparency on delivery result in Three weeks of delays. I Ordered my backpack on 4/9 paid for expedited shipping, because I commute on 100% public transit to NYC and my current backpack is unusable due to many years of use. I did research and your backpack has a reputation to hold up to commutes and travel. This was important to me since I heavily rely on backpacks for to carry laptop and paperwork. On 4/14 received an email stating due to technical difficulties in the fulfillment center, the issue would be resolved in 24/48 hours and the backpack would be shipped. I was offered a full refund on the shipping which I took and received within 24 hours, thank you. One week later 4/17 still no communication as to when I would receive my backpack. I emailed customer service, the response was “we are still having technical difficulties and it would be 5 business days until it would be resolved” then I would be shipped no real commitment. After no communication since 4/17, yesterday on 4/23 I sent an email an email asking for an update. I received a prompt response apologizing for not responding due to a large amount of customers to respond to. The response included a commitment to ship on Monday 4/27. Thankfully I received an email shortly after The shipment was sent out yesterday and estimated to arrive on Wednesday 4/29. Honestly I was about to cancel the shipment and go out and buy one at a retail store but due a lack of communication and transparency and the need to carry my laptop during my two hour round trip commute to NYC. I understand issues arise but you knew enough to reach out about the delay initially and offered a refund on shipping, then no communication from there except excuses.

Timbuk2’s lifetime warranty a real deal!!

Just got my age old but special customized messenger bag repaired, all covered by lifetime warranty. My bag was a memorable gift from my wife and has been serving me well since 2018 however, the TPU waterproof layer failed and crumbled I guess due to natural aging of the plastic. I was skeptical at first when Timbuk2’s team came back saying they’ll replace the TPU layer instead of sending me a brand new one like Peak Design would normally do. It came back over my expectation otherwise. I’m thrilled to have it back with me now and looks like it’ll last more years to come, superb!

Ordered bag for a trip

Ordered bag for a trip. I checked the tracking information several weeks after purchasing only to find out there was no record of purchase.
I've sent several requests for purchase update, only to get told they will look into it. Still no updates after several weeks. They were glad to take my money though. :-(

Even though shipment was delayed

Even though shipment was delayed, Timbuk2 customer service explained the reason clearly. I already own a custom messenger bag I purchased in 2021 which is still going strong and am looking forward to my new backpack. Thank you.

Great service from start to backpack in transit

The service for this product was absolutely outstanding. I had a timeline and they had a shipping problem, but given that they gave me great service and let me know that it might work to get my backpack. As soon as they could send it, I got a note always with a way to be in touch with him if I had any questions. It was really outstanding and quite unusual.

I had purchased a Timbuk2 Backpack in…

I had purchased a Timbuk2 Backpack in the Google Headquarters in 2016. I used the bag every day for 10 years but my beloved bag's zipper got stripped over time. I live in BC and the 2 closest locations for drop off are both over 4000kms away. I had started a repair ticket, but was not able to drop off the bag in person to a store until 3 months later to the Toronto store. That store helped reopened the repair ticket and assisted in getting the bag repaired. From the Customer service representative at the Toronto storefront, to the online person that reopened the ticket, to the communication to repair the bag and with extreme efficiency, I have been nothing short of impressed with Timbuk 2. I have a 2 backpacks and 2 messenger bags all from Timbuk2 and I love them all. My only concern is that I wish there was a storefront on the Pacific west coast so that I could shop there more often.

Shipping issues

My husband's generic backpack tore unexpectedly; he wanted to replace it with something inexpensive. I encouraged him to look at a high quality backpack because he commutes into Manhattan everyday. The website indicated that the backpack we selected was in stock, and that it ships in 1-3 Days. That was 13 days ago. Being without a backpack has been enormously inconvenient. Moreover, we've not had any communication about why there has been a delay in shipping.
