GREAT EXPERIENCE WITH ATHENA SOLICITORS
I have for many years had cold calls from various companies/people with reference to the time share I owned. They have always tried to extract money from me (up to £10,000) to solve my "problems".
Fortunately, I got fed up with the same old sales pitch causing me to go on line to find a "Time Share Solicitor" and was fortunate enough to find Athena Solicitors LLP.
Stephen Boyd was good enough to respond to my enquiry and was excellent, spending time to explain my situation and giving me the advice I needed going forward. I cannot recommend Stephen and Athena highly enough as they were very helpful and most professional.

I was so pleased to stumble upon Athena Solicitors as I'd been perplexed over a Timeshare issue for about two years not knowing where to turn for genuine advice, having received cold calling from many firms offering to help (at a price). I sent my query to Stephen Boyd at Athena who sent me an informative, clear and concise reply. I now at last have a full understanding of my situation and cannot recommend Stephen Boyd and Athena highly enough.

The whole process was straightforward. Mr. Boyd was very straight with us about what we realistically could expect. We received copies of letters that were sent to the timeshare company so we felt involved throughout. Thank you Athena Law for getting us out successfully. We had been scammed before so was very cautious about approaching another law firm but Athena Law has restored our faith.

Athena Solicitors are brilliant -

Just this week we received a call from a timeshare exit company "Arbitration Consultants" in Tenerife- Basically they claim to be consultants who spend an hour or so via zoom advising that they can get people out of there timeshare and then win you compensation after the termination.

We had previously surrendered our timeshare and Arbitration Consultants advised us that this wasn't the case and that for a fee of £6000 they can assign solicitors to guarantee we could get out and then claim around £22k compensation.

Fortunately we didn't take them up on there offer and decided to look for a UK solicitor to deal with our concerns.

We called Athena Solicitors who have advised us that we had been subject to a convincing exit scam and that our original surrender with the timeshare company still stands.

Athena did this Free of Charge. I also learned that we could have exited our timeshare at a fraction of the cost had we gone through Athena rather than the timeshare company.

Takeaways are:

1 - Watch out for the timeshare exit scammers who call and promise you the earth.

2- If you want to exit your timeshare, deal with a company in the UK who has a physical office and someone you can talk to at short notice.

Timeshare nightmare OVER!!!!!

Finally a company that is not a scam!!!

Over £7000 spent on con artists and I still don't know how people can steal from old people and still sleep at night.

Athena was great and I would recommend them to you.

Outstanding impartial and comprehensive advice provided professionally by Stephen Boyd, with regard to my Club LaCosta fractional ownership. All options fully explained in detail and useful links included. My emails were continuously always promptly replied to.

I would highly recommend Athena Solicitors LLP, they have just negotiated my exit with Diamond Resort without a termination fee from them despite them requesting one, there response to my emails was always immediate and I was kept informed the whole time as to what was going on all in all it probably only took around 3-4 weeks I could not be more happier.

We contacted Athena and were quoted over £2k to exit our timeshare agreement with no guarantee of any confirmation from the timeshare provider.
We decided to deal with ourselves and requested a contract termination direct of our timeshare.
We sent a letter recorded delivery and have had confirmation that our agreement has been surrendered with no further obligations.
It cost us £6.50 with Royal Mail and we did not have to pay our 2021 maintenance of £1.2k

Athena law solicitors are experts in getting you out of a Time contract, the process went very smooth with little effort from myself, the service was excellent and a dig weight off my shoulders I can’t thank them enough.

We knew we needed help to get rid of the timeshare deal we had signed - the contract seemed watertight, the maintenance fees were climbing each year and the availability of resorts falling - we wanted to get out but had no idea how. We knew that the Madrid ruling made in perpetuity contracts illegal - but we still had to make it happen - and deal with the load we'd taken out. There seemed as many companies offering to help as there were timeshare companies and we were really nervous about making another bad choice.
Athena offered us the protection of the Solicitors Regulation Authority here in the UK so, with fingers crossed, we made contact.
From the start we were dealing with real people in the UK. They were helpful, professional and committed to getting us out of the hole we had dug for ourselves. The fees were discussed and agreed up front - and adhered to, and considering the lifetime of payments we were committed to in timeshare, were not unreasonable.
Within three months we were free of our contract. Within a year we were free of the loan and, our circumstances allowed this, we even had the amount of the loan already paid refunded to us, which easily covered Athenas fees.
In short, because of Athena - particularly Stephen Boyd and Charmaine Moran, we are free of timeshare, free of the loan, have that refund as a lump sum - and have no longer committed our children to our foolish 'in perpetuity' purchase from the Tenerife timeshare industry.
I remember how nervous I was in making contact initially - but we chose well, have been kept in touch throughout and are delighted with Athena's help in bringing such a great outcome about.

We had a nightmare situation with terminating our timeshares until Stephen Boyd, Athena Law took our case. With his expertise he has relinquished us from our costly, unwanted timeshares.
