From the first conversation with Tonic, I felt reassured, this company treated me with sensitivity and consideration. They answered all my questions and each member off staff I spoke to were polite, honest about the procedure and Dr Currie, surgeon made me feel truly safe. He explained everything about the gastric sleeve procedure and I felt confident going forward. The morning of the surgery I arrived for 7am and was looked after continuously throughout my stay. The aftercare is amazing. Ive had continuous contact from various clinicians checking in every week to ensure im okay. Ive lost a lot of weight already after only 4 weeks and feel no pain from the surgery. My energy level has increased and I feel so much happier in my new body. I adhere to the new diet and im never hungry. Im returning to the gym next week where I swim most days. Thank you Tonic for not just changing my life but for giving me hope of good health going forward. I would recommend Tonic to anyone who wants to change their life, become healthy and lose weight. My son lost 7 stone after his surgery 5 months ago. Its changed his life!

I used Tonic in 2021 for gastric sleeve surgery, had operation done in Leeds .
Very professional service and fabulous support and after care ,I am still in a support group on facebook and this is 5 years on .

i spent a while to conduct research and find a company that suited me. Tonic fitted the bill, easy access to a nearby hospital, excellent customer service and fantastic support throughout. I could not be happier with the processes undertaken by Tonic, the hospital stay and the procedure or the aftercare. Gastric sleeve completed and I couldnt be happier

I cannot fault anything with the experience I have had with Tonic. From start to finish there is help if ever you need it. Well informed and great recipes and check ups. Nothing is too much trouble. Had a follow up with my surgeon today, very happy with my progress and so am I! The journey doesn’t end there, will speak with Mr Adimo again after the summer. If you ever need any advice they are always ready for you. Even a PT is provided also and nutritionist. Trusted and would definitely use them again ! What’s stopping you?!

I’m coming up to 3 years post op and the support from Tonic and their staff is still fantastic. The op and immediate clinical support was brilliant and I can honestly say it’s changed my life. However, one of the reasons I chose Tonic was because they continue to support you years down the line (at no extra cost !). I had a recent query and they came back to me with a solution and a call from my consultant within a day. I always recommend them to anyone considering this route to weight loss.

I had my surgery in Cheadle at the end of May and Tonic provided an exceptionally high standard of service from beginning to end. The consultation with the surgeon, Mr Alkhaffaf, was so reassuring and comforting- he was down to earth, pleasant and very knowledgeable and experienced- I can see why he gets so many 5* reviews. The operation went smoothly and the nursing staff at The Alexandra were fantastic.
Post op - there was always someone at the end of a phone at Tonic to address any worries, questions or just to find out more information.
The weekly phone calls from my Dietitian, Lisa, were so encouraging and informative and she sent out recipe ideas for all the stages which were so useful; my allocated Nurse, Rebecca, was so helpful, supportive and answered all questions giving me that added security. I was also able to easily contact them if I had any questions in between times. Finally, the virtual Physical Trainer gave practical advice based on my individual needs and circumstances. There was also a Psychologist available should you need them.
I would highly recommend Tonic for this type of surgery - their care is second to none!

From my initial enquiry right through to date Tonic have been supportive, informative and generally amazing. I would not hesitate in recommending Tonic to anyone considering this surgery. The services offered are life changing and to be fully supported throughout is priceless.

Amazing customer service!
I have been with Tonic over 4 years, nothing is ever too much trouble. I reached out on Facebook recently to the group stating I was struggling, Louise contacted me to check I was ok, offer tools and also a chat anytime needed, don’t know any other company that would do this! Thank you tonic for giving me my life back and all the support!

Since the first time I approached Tonic with my enquiry about having the gastric sleeve surgery and it now being nearly 4 weeks since my op, all staff have been very helpful,supportive and friendly throughout the whole journey so far and also my surgeon and the hospital staff were great looking after me whilst I was in hospital, I can not fault any of them or the Tonic staff. I would definately recommend Tonic, the Alexandra hospital and my surgeon Mr Bilal Alkhaffaf.

My experience with Tonic Weight Loss has been extremely disappointing.

I believe I was mis-sold a gastric band. Just three months after having it fitted, it eroded into my stomach, leaving me seriously unwell. I was admitted to hospital for four days and had to undergo emergency surgery to have the band removed.

I also paid for two years of aftercare, but in my experience I received little to no aftercare or support throughout the process. Following everything I went through, I requested a refund, but this was refused, which added to my disappointment.

This has been a physically, emotionally and financially difficult experience. I can only speak from my own experience, but I would not recommend this company based on how my case was handled.

I was 57 and completely depressed due to reaching 28 stone and waiting for my life to end.
Then I spoke to Tonic and it was so easy.
Had my operation on 15th September 2022. Everyone was friendly and put me at my ease.
Is it easy....no...but nothing worthwhile every is.

great process from start to finish the before and after care were amazing and the consultant was confident, re-assuring and spoke in plain English ! two years in and its changed my life and really glad I chose tonic to take the journey with. 7 stone off and its stayed off ! only downside is the cost of a new wardrobe !

I have had a really positive experience with Tonic, from the very first interaction almost a year before my surgery date. The team have been extremely helpful, have been able to answer all my questions and put my mind at ease about making such a huge decision.

The pre-surgery support I thought was fantastic, a lot of paperwork to read through but the team were just a phone call or email away if I wanted to double check anything. And the surgery day itself went extremely well, and the hospital team were amazing. I am now nearly 7 weeks post op and still have regular contact with the after care team which has been great.

Amazing team at Tonic. From the moment I decided that I would like to make a contact throughout my surgery and up to now - 5 weeks after the surgery was completed fenomenal communication. I was contacted by Cat shortly after completing the online form and she booked my phone consultation with the surgeon promptly and after that everything went quickly. I had all the email/phone consultations booked with the team and in almost no time I was ready for my surgery. Surgeon - Marco Adamo answered all my questions and explained everything very well.
The hospital staff was also amazing and extremely helpful.

Would recommend. Had a gastric bypass 6 weeks ago and best thing ive ever done. Lost nearly 2 1/2 stone so far. The staff are wonderful and very helpful all the way and still are.

I went with TONIC due to their excellent reviews which confirmed how customer focused they were.
From the outset, the experience was great. Communicative, great customer service and resposinve to all my queries
I am inpatient in general and asked if they could let me know of any cancellations. I had a cancellation slot which gave me 12 days for my LRD.
Operation went well. Hospital and Consultant care was outstanding.
I have lost around 9 stone and never looked back.
The additional support post op isn't something that is offered on the same scale as when you go to Turkey and given 85% of my stomach was removed, i felt after care was essential to my recovery
