After many years of searching for a blackout shade, I finally found UBlockout. It's a blackout shade that completely seals and doesn't allow any light to enter the room.

Great Blinds and tremendous customer service! I've had my blinds for a little over a year and I absolutely love them. I started with one blind to see if I would like it and then added two more. UBlockout blinds has a great website with detailed instructions on installation along with videos. Besides the website instructions, they offer a chat or a video call. Also, they are so patient and helpful. Not that I needed to do this but, I have an extremely hot window, so I put a film on the window before I put up the blind just to add a little protection for the blind.

When I was a night shift nurse I would buy blackout fabric and cover my windows with push pins and tape. I didn’t even want the red lights from the TV or a clock to break the blackness. I managed to get 100% blackout but the window was not only ugly but permanently blacked out until I removed the fabric and therefore unusable . Ublockout worked out great giving me that same 100% blackout with a neat and temporary coverage that could be easily opened and closed. Great product! I still like a dark room for sleep.

This is a young modern company with a very responsive team. The product is great and although I had a few issues they were quick to respond and sort the issue out. You speak to the same people, based in the USA. The true test of a company is when things don't go as planned. UBlockout is the type of company I am happy to support. I wish them a lot of success

We just received ours, and they are incredible. Prior to this we had black out curtains in our daughter’s room that were impractical to open and close so we left them shut all the time and it became a cave. Now we can get great light in there during the day and complete blackout during nap time. Great product. Thank you.

I was skeptical when I bought these based off Instagram adds. However I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome. The only thing I am not thrilled is the industrial look to them, however understand they look this way because it gets the job done.

I don’t know what magic material they used to block the sun but it works!

I've tried several different blackout options over the years, including SlumberShades and blackout curtains over blackout blinds. UBlockout is the best I've ever used.

It's essentially perfect at light blocking. You can't see any light leaking through at all, even in the corners. It's also well built and seems like it will last for many years without degrading. I was happy with their customers service and their delivery. Everything was quite easy.

Our UBlockout shade is no joke! We needed to control the blazing sunlight that enters the room where we installed the UBlockout shade. I did a quick internet search and immediately found this company. I had a couple informative and un rushed telephone conversations with a representative. Our UBolckout shade is framed on the wall surrounding the window and not within the window frame. We received the order quickly and my wife and I installed it in about 1.5 hours. A more experienced customer could do what we did in an hour I’m sure. I needed help with the proper measurements which they cheerfully assisted on a video chat. Installation was fairly straightforward although I needed some further instructions. The end result is complete darkness and everyone who has stayed in this guest bedroom is truly amazed by the effectiveness of the blind. We are very pleased with the quality, fit and finish of this product. This company is impressive. Thanks UBlocckout!

I was initially hesitant with the price for the shades, but compared to similar products and after some more research, my wife and I decided to give it a shot. Product arrived and fit as mentioned, installation was fairly easy, and the results are phenomenal. I am eyeing to purchase additional shades from UBlockout for my other bedrooms in the future as a result.

The morning sun has been waking me up before dawn for years. And I have been closely watching UBlockout online for months and months, wondering if it was worth it to spend $1,000 on blackout blinds. I could get something similar from Lowes or Home Depot for a lot less.

Still - do you know how many self-assembling products have failed me over the years? Ones that promised a lot but in reality were, let's face it, crap? A lot. That's why I was so hesitant about these.

So I bought three shades from UBlockout. They took a few weeks to arrive. The first two installed, honestly, like a dream (and to achieve this, I learned, you have to make sure you pre-measure your own window frame exactly for this to happen).

I am so happy to say that I was pleasantly surprised how the frames fit perfectly (which meant, whew! I measured correctly) and every other component went in with ease. I thought, someone must have put a lot of thought into the engineering, because this is too easy.

But on the third one, I had a problem with stringing the cord into the shade pull. It was very frustrating. I almost gave up.

But, you know what? I've already forgotten about that – because, when it came to getting help to solve my snafu, the customer service from UBlockout was amazing. They were available at hours I didn't think they would be. They had a video prepped for every contingency. They consulted their team on a fix and got back to me with detailed instructions. I was so impressed.

So, yes, these were quite expensive (I literally waited months for the Black Friday sale to purchase) but the customer service alone makes me feel like the cost was well worth it. What a relief that this is money well-spent.

And, of course, the result is exactly what they promised: 100% total blackout from the windows. It basically turned a window into a wall. No leaks, no nothing. This is an exceptional product. And yes, I am a real person!

Terrible customer service! I placed an order before Thanksgiving and two weeks passed without an update. I reached out requesting a status update and they tell me that they sent an email requesting another call to remeasure our windows. I told them I haven’t received any communications and he said there was a system glitch and the email was never sent. He proceeds to schedule the call and I ask him if I had not contacted him, what would have happened and he doesn’t know what to say. I ask if I can receive a discount for the delay and inconvenience and he says there’s nothing they can do. Super frustrating so I email customer service explaining my situation and the same guy responds saying there is nothing they can do! Is there only one guy working in your customer service department??? I requested a full refund as it was obvious they don’t care about their customers. This is a big investment and such a waste of my time and money. At least the refund was processed with no issues. Thanks for wasting my time and efforts.

I just ordered 4 motorized blinds. I have yet to receive the blinds, but if the blind quality is anything like the awesome customer service and ease of ordering than I am in for a treat. Thank you, Cristian, for being so patient with me. I'll leave a review after installation and quality

Ordered blackout curtains for my toddler room. Great customer service, helped with installation. One of the curtains wouldn't charge, so they sent me a replacement in a quick timely manner. Would recommend buying from this company if seeking blackout curtains
