VWFS Rent-a-Car - Preston Reviews 

What a great program. This is the third time I’ve used the VWFS rental program for my holiday to the UK from America. I pay one third the price compared to renting a car at the airport. Will always rent from VWFS rental dealerships when I visit the UK.

Great service by the team here at rent a car Preston and the vehicles were perfect condition and got a free coffee whilst I waited for my transport after my hire ended

NICE PREMISES IN PRESTON AND NO HIDDEN CHARGES LIKE MILEAGE AND INSURNCE AND HUGE DEPOSITS FOR COLLISION WAIVER.

Absolutely 1st class service, attitude and value. I “stumbled” across VWFS from a Google search after being let down by Enterprise who phoned me when I was a couple of miles away from the collection point to say the vehicle was not available and even if it was he had “no staff to deal with it” as it was within 30 minutes of closing time!!! This was despite reserving the vehicle, providing payment details and licence details on their online site as well as selecting their offered collection time.
Anyway, it turns out that Enterprise did me a huge favour. As already mentioned VWFS could teach the rest a few lessons AND breakdown insurance is included, not an optional extra (I didn’t even know this was a thing). Why should the customer pay for the repair/recovery of the car they are hiring? BUT this is something that the alternative car hire companies offer, surely there should be an expectation that the vehicle is fit for purpose? With VWFS you get a phone number on the back of the contract so if the worst happens and a fault/breakdown occurs it is dealt with.
Final point, who’d have thought that Skodas had evolved into such a great car. We were well impressed and will certainly consider buying one when the car needs replacing.
Err…….. final, final point!!! I don’t write glowing references as a matter of course but praise where it’s due.

The steps to get the car were a bit annoying but probably needed to regulations. Returning the car went very fast and also the ordering of a taxi was very quick so we were able to catch our train to the airport. Thanks for that!

I booked a series of karoqs and a Kodiaq with VWFS rent-a-car through Fayaz at Simpsons Skoda.
Fayaz was very helpful at every stage from enquiry through to booking, extending booking and car return. I would definitely use Simpsons and Fayaz again.

This will be my 3rd rental with VWFS and every experience has been excellent.

The online system is easy to use, you get a good choice of cars and transmission options. You can pay a deposit or pay in full and you'll get an email and text message with confirmation and reminders about your booking.

Unlike other local rental companies VWFS don't penalise you for a full week rental, in fact it's much better value to take the car for longer.
OK you pay extra on CDW but again against other companies this charge is a flat fee, no hidden extras.

I always opt for Auto because it saves my poor left knee!
You don't pay as massive amount more for the automatics like some rental companies charge.

All the cars have been fantastic, in excellent condition and a delight to drive. My recent rental I fell in love with and should I win big on the lottery I will be buying one!

Fayaz does a great job, he's always been helpful, efficient and professional.
The whole Skoda team at Preston are a great bunch, if Fayaz isn't around someone will always help you out with booking cars back in etc..

Great easy process one of the best rental companies I have dealt with, they didn’t have the car I booked but was called by Fayaz and was upgraded.
At pickup the car was brand new with only a few miles on it , spotless and ready on time , the drop off was equally as smooth and the deposit was promptly returned.

Will definately use them again

I ordered a Karoq for a 1 day rental. There was some issue with this car so I was given a Kodiaq. Car was clean and well presented. Service from staff was first class and friendly

The car was great! Much smaller than our normal drive back home, but perfect for tight Scottish roads. Fuel economy was 62.5 MPG which was pretty extraordinary (Less than 5l/100Km).
Also - when we returned the vehicle, we got dropped off at the train station by the dealer, which was unexpected and very nice of them.
BTW - the car was a SKODA Fabia.
