Ordered Sweet Peas, which arrived today in the most awful condition: dead, dying, snapped stems and no scent whatsoever. As not one stem was salvageable they've gone straight in the bin and I've reque... Toon meer

I received a bunch of red roses for mother's day that were all wilting and brown.
I was offered a give voucher as a goodwill gesture for £10 that I never received. So I was left with dead flowers on mother's Day.
Shocking customer service
Went to Waitrose Kingsthorpe Northampton today 1/1/2026 at 13.07 for gift cards.
I went to customer service and asking for the vouchers but the lady serving flately refused to put the receits for the gift cards in the correct envelopes.
She was very disagreeable and had very poor customer service.
When I have gone in to Waitrose before at Kingsthorpe for gift card the staff have enfersised that its importamnt to put the correct receipt with the correct gift card in the envelope im case someone has an issue with the card.
I spoke to another lady when was very helpful and followed the correct procedure.
Thank you very much for your response which is much appreciated.
Ruined birthday
My birthday flowers were wilting and the roses had heads falling off. So disappointed with the service. Ruined my birthday
£30 No.1 bouquet from Waitrose is a waste of money
My gift of a £30 bouquet of Waitrose no.1 flowers were so disappointing. 1 of the roses’ heads was completely severed. Several pieces of foliage were crispy dry and flaky, dead! 1 of the 2 stems of white flowers (not sure of name) was yellow, again dead. 2 of The 3 eucolyptus stems were wilting. Complete waste of money. Had I bought them myself I would have returned them.

My flowers from Waitrose are excellent lm so pleased
Their flowers are disappointing.
I feel very letdown by Waitrose when it comes to flowers. I bought some for a friend and when she opened them, I felt really embarrassed as the leaves were yellowing and the flowers were in poor condition. Yesterday, my birthday, I was given what should have been a lovely bouquet from Waitrose, well within the sell by date. They were a disgrace but I haven’t the heart to tell the giver of their very poor condition. Most are now in the bin. Do not buy flowers from Waitrose. You will be disappointed.
I shop at Biggin Hill in Westerham…
I shop at Biggin Hill in Westerham nearly every week. i have always found the manager in there excellent. The staff are extremely polite and helpful. The store would benefit from an update. If i have asked if they have something in stock they go out of their way to help. Well stocked and has a good variety. I have always found Waitrose staff to be a lot more helpful than John Lewis.

Have always been an ardent fan of Waitrose but I fear no longer.
I now spend less and less there.
Exeter have constant stock issues.
Last week waited 20 mins why someone checked for frazipaine mincepies in the warehouse was told they had 8 boxes then told it was a mistake and wouldnt be in for ten days, Next day they were on the shelf.
This morning wanted a big box of belgium chocolate biscuits again they couldnt find them. The call centre is awful, noisy and they cant hear what you are saying and you cant hear them because of all the background noise.
Fed up with empty shelves and discontnued products.
On a plus the majority of staff are tremendous

Delivered sat pm
Expected half price beef for an 8pm dinner, but no meat delivered at all
Had to drive to local supermarket to buy beef meat joint
No beef and no substitute, even after spending wasted time on the phone to complain, no answer available
Call back requested within 2 hours from store manager
Call back received 4 days later, no contact at that time as it was too late and I was busy at time of call, then next contact after a total of 7 days, but manager or customer service person put phone down after hearing the service was poor
Had Acardo delivery yesterday and all products in stock, with no issues at all
I received some flowers for my birthday…
I received some flowers for my birthday (delivered). They were OK. They lasted reasonably well but there was a small bottle of prosecco with the order which wasn’t secured in the box causing breakage to a fair few stems which shouldn’t happen. I’m sure my friend paid good money for these so she won’t be happy when I tell her. The Prosecco, I gave away, but I was told it was nice.
Dead flowers not fit for the compost
Received Dead flowers for my birthday - not even fit for the compost. Nothing like the pictures, different size, different flowers. Don't bother with this criminal company. Its not even waitrose, its a third company.
Object lesson in reading the small…
Object lesson in reading the small print. Flowers were ordered to be sent to a business premises - delivery notes were added to the order to state this. Did not realise these would be sent by Yodel. Delivery time is listed as between 17:00 and 19:00. Flowers were delivered after working hours, when recipient had left.
Now just an expensive supermarket with…
Now just an expensive supermarket with shoddy customer service, thanks to Dame Sharon White, clueless ex-civil servant.
Customer service is handled centrally by a team of potatoes, if their IQ is any indication. If you're particularly unlucky, you'll get a South African potato who will blame you for the poor speech quality and their inability to understand a British accent.
In fact JLP's ethos has become "the customer is always wrong. It doesn't matter that we don't understand what the customer is saying, they are wrong".
I am trying to deal with Newark branch, who sold me some rancid fish. They keep directing me back to the potatoes. It turns out that I'd have been better off trying to communicate with the fish.
Do I sound bitter? I do? Good, because I am. I have fond memories of JLP but they have become overpriced junk and I will now go out of my way to use any other supplier but them.
That is all.
The mingiest bunch of flowers
The mingiest bunch of flowers. They were a gift for a friend turning 60 and they had flowers everywhere at their party - mostly just M&S store bought - and I was looking for the freesia and amarylis bunch I'd sent and... it was on the table next to us and I'd overlooked it as it was a few stems in a glass - not even big enough for a vase. I was so embarrassed... A stumpy single amarylis and a few freesia and a tiny bit of green... And nearly double the price of the shop bought M&S ones everywhere... I was fuming.
I kept meaning to review the saddest smallest bunch of flowers I've ever seen in a delivery. Do not waste your money. I can see by the less than 2 star average review that many folks must have had the same experience.
Waitrose No.1 roses started dieing after 1 day
I was given a bouquet of Waitrose No.1 roses by a friend, as a compassionate guesture after my mum passed away, after 24 hours 1 rose died, within 5 days every rose was dead. I complained to Waitrose and after several weeks, I was offered £15 even though the bouquet cost at least £50. They gave several reasons from; they couldn't claim from their supplier to; as they were a gift they couldn't be sure exactly what bouquet they were. Poor quality flowers and terrible service from Waitrose.
Flowers for my wedding anniversary…
Flowers for my wedding anniversary arrived at 5.45pm, looking tired and dry. Courier texted to say they were a mile down the road at midday - not sure what took them so long. Flowers arriving at this time of the day, whatever the occasion, are unacceptable. If you can't deliver reasonably early in the morning, then please don't bother. Same happened last year. Won't be using Waitrose for flowers again.
Flower Delivery
Never again Waitrose, you have managed to mess up my latest order/delivery for flowers for a friends birthday, (3rd time now) you don’t seem to have any understanding of a date ticked for delivery is a birthday for someone and feel you will/can deliver days when you feel like it (even though these flowers have been in circulation for days and dying, will not put myself through the stress and follow up phone calls to you at Waitrose anymore, all I can say is, do not offer this floral service if you cannot commit-honour to it Waitrose👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
Ordered flowers and bottle of Prosecco…
Ordered flowers and bottle of Prosecco for my wife on our wedding anniversary.
Failed to deliver on the agreed day
I suggest they change their courier.
I will never use Waitrose flowers again and would not recommend them to anyone
Out of touch, couldn't care less, and the customer is wrong
Using the self service check out, I found that I had to queue up at a second self service check out in order to print out a bar code for a couple of bananas. Knowing that all of the other professional supermarkets allow the customer to simply enter the type of fruit / vegetable into the till rather than use two tills to achieve the same object I asked an assistant if she could tell her management team that this was an unsatisfactory arrangement. She told me that they wouldn't listen to her and that I would have to write in. Eh? Was I talking to a John Lewis partner, er, yes I was. So I said that I would not be writing in, but that if other supermarkets can get the design of tills right, why couldn't Waitrose? She then told me I did not understand how much trouble "intelligent" tills were, so I said that I did understand as I often shop at "grown up" supermarkets. So, Out of touch, couldn't care less and the customer is wrong.
