Family Holiday to Mexico - The Yucatan Peninsula
We spent over 2 weeks on family holiday to Mexico in July/August and thanks to Sally's meticulous planning and listening to what we wanted in terms of an itinerary and accommodation, provided a fantastic, memorable trip. All her suggestions of areas to stay in as well as excursions/day trips were spot on for us and our teenage sons and we all came home feeling we'd experienced a slice of true Mexico. Attention to detail and seamless planning was brilliant - from booking all the flights, to car hire and sorting all the accommodation plus local tips - we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sally to any friends. A fantastic, once in a lifetime trip and completely hassle-free - thanks Sally and Wandering Tribe!

We went to the Azores, not somewhere I had on my bucket list, but I’m so pleased we went. The itinerary provided by Wandering Tribe was great, it gave us something to do everyday, and if we hadn’t got it we would not have seen and done so much on this beautiful island. We went Kayaking on a lake inside a volcano, whale watching where we saw sperm whales and dolphins and to the eggie Furnas where we saw stews being cooked in pots in the ground by the heat of a volcano, just to name a few activities. The locals take pride in their island, are very environmentally conscious and keep it very clean.
Every detail of the trip was organised and went to plan, from flights to accommodation to private transfer pickups at 4am, which meant it was stress free.
I felt that putting the holiday together was done personally and with care, and any queries I had were dealt with by Sally promptly, you felt that she was doing her best to make sure you had a perfect holiday. So much better than using a big tour operator when you are very much a number and you get what you’re given!
All of the holidays on the Wandering Tribe website look brilliant and we want to do more, so time to get saving.

Sally runs a very professional and efficient service through Wandering Tribe. The fact that she has experienced so many of these places herself with her family enables her to provide honest and tailored feedback based on some ideas that you might have. Itineraries are created and changed without an issue and the advice and suggestions offered are really helpful in planning what you want to do. We travelled to Costa Rica via Toronto with a 12yr old and a 16yr old girls and had the most amazing experience. We ran out of words after a few days to describe how amazing the place was. Sally gave loads of recommendations for the trip and not one disappointed, the itinerary that is produced for you on your agreed holiday provides everything you need to ensure you know what awaits you at the next stop and also provides greats suggestions on other things to consider whilst your there or where you might want to eat. Sally even drops you some emails along the way to confirm timings of pickups and activities and also checking in to make sure everything is okay.
Costa Rica is the most amazing country i have ever been to (it was like being in a film or nature documentary) and has the most amazing, warm, proud and helpful people. Wandering Tribe offers a first rate service which enables you to experience the culture, wildlife and all the other fun bits that the country has to offer and one i would have no problem in recommending to others.

Just returned from an unforgettable 2 week holiday to Borneo, booked with Wandering Tribe. Absolutely fell in love with Borneo – warm and welcoming people, lush rainforests teeming with wildlife, beautiful beaches and stunning views of Mount Kinabalu... Sally’s meticulous planning meant we were able to enjoy all of this and more, stress-free with our twin four year-old boys in tow! She organized 6 flights, 7 fabulous hotels/lodges and all of the tours and transfers in between. Everything was seamless and Sally was so patient in answering any queries we had when planning the trip. The local guides were very knowledgeable and really looked after our family. The itinerary achieved, for us, the perfect balance between guided activities and 'free and easy' time. We would not hesitate to recommend Wandering Tribe or to book with them again in the future.

We just returned from a 16 night tour of the Western USA. The accommodation was perfect as was the schedule Wandering Tribe helped to plan. Cannot say enough great things about how much easier I found planning the logistics for a family of 5 on an international trip working with Wandering Tribe. This meant that we relaxed and enjoyed the trip so much more

It really helps speaking to someone who knows the place you're going to and can recommend sights to see and trips etc. We used the itinerary provided and it really helped us. But the biggest plus here is that when you deal with a family run business you will get a personal service like no other. We travelled to Costa Rica this New Year for just over two weeks and could not have been happier with the help we got from Sally to make it happen. From the initial conversations, to the careful, detailed itinerary production to the booking, and then being in contact immediately when we were away in order to switch the timings on something - we cannot fault the service. We knew very early on that Sally understood what we wanted, and she could offer very personal advice based on her own experiences with her children. A holiday to remember and we will be using Wandering Tribe again for sure!

We’ve just returned from a memorable 3 week trip to New Zealand. Sally’s help in assisting us to plan our itinerary was invaluable. We travelled around a lot, taking in a variety of accommodation and activities based on what we had told Sally we enjoy doing as a family. Travel, accommodation, transfers and hire cars all worked well and this took all the stress out of making these arrangements ourselves. Would definitely recommend.

Just returned from the most fabulous trip to Finnish Lapland and the resort of Levi ! Sally literally planned everything based on our requirements with 10 yr old and 16 yr old from flights to transfers to the most idyllic log cabin and all the activities down to a tee no stone was unturned and all ran smoothly! I couldn’t have embarked on putting all this together without her knowledge and experience of the destination thank you Sally my kids now say it is their best holiday ever and are so thankful and appreciative we will definitely be using you again!!

We have just returned from a magical holiday to Lapland with another family, 4 children in total (aged 2-5) staying in a beautiful log cabin.

We have recently returned from a simply amazing trip Vancouver, the Sunshine Coast and Vancouver Island. Having just read through the comments from other people I can only reiterate these. Sally plans things meticulously, so important when you're travelling around with children catching ferries etc - she advised us on how long it would take to get from place to place and gave us loads of options of what we could do when we arrived, so there was no time wasting - we could make the most of every moment. She encouraged us to book activities in advance, sending through all the options and links that we needed, so we squeezed every last drop of adventure out of our trip. I'll most definitely book with her again.

We have just returned from a 2 week family holiday in Iceland, with our 5 children aged 9-15, organised by Sally at Wandering Tribe. She did a fantastic job of planning every aspect of our holiday, with flights, car hire, accommodation in 6 different houses and a detailed route and suggested itinerary of places to visit. She also provided links to book activities. Every aspect of the holiday was meticulously planned exactly how we wanted, with Sally’s knowledge invaluable in ensuring the holiday ran smoothly with no stress on our part! We recently came back from a wonderful three-week holiday to Costa Rica with our three kids ages 10, 13 and 15. We knew roughly where we wanted to go and what we wanted to do, but just didn't have the time (or expertise) to create a detailed itinerary. Luckily, Sally at Wandering Tribe sorted it all out for us and was very patient while we dithered and changed our minds. And I have to say, it was the trip of a lifetime. We saw volcanoes, mountains, beautiful coastlines, and the most amazing range of wildlife (turtles nesting at night, monkeys, sloths, snakes, crocodiles, tarantulas, anteaters, dolphins and even humpback whales). We did plenty of hiking and wallowed in hot springs, and also did white-water rafting, ziplining and horse-riding. We even managed to fit in some relaxing beach time on the Nicoya Peninsula. All the accommodation was excellent and we really appreciated Sally's detailed recommendations for restaurants (especially the local 'sodas') and tour operators, and places she and her family had actually been to. All the logistics went like clockwork, thanks to Sally's attention to detail, and we were free to get on and enjoy ourselves. I would highly recommend Costa Rica as an amazing holiday destination, and Wandering Tribe to organise it!

Just returned from a 17 day road trip around California organised and booked by Sally of Wandering Tribe. We are a family of 5 with 3 teenage daughters and the holiday provided something for everyone from stunning scenery in national parks to the all american experience in three wonderful cities. I feel everyday was like having an excellent family day out, no-one ever got bored. Sally adapted the holiday to our needs perfectly everything was extremely well organised and planned for us and we loved the personal suggestions put into our itinerary that meant we made the most of each drive and place we visited.
Would highly recommend Sally and we hope to use Wandering Tribe again.

Borneo is amazing. As a family of 6 getting the right destination to suit all tastes & ages can be difficult - not with Wandering Tribe. Sally organised everything perfectly so we could just enjoy every second.
Seeing animals in the wetlands & the jungles (including Asian Pygmy elephants, Orang Utans, Sun Bears, estuary crocodiles, proboscis monkeys & so much more) was fantastic. All our boat, plane, minibus transfers were perfect & the guides & drivers all incredible helpful. Very gentle, friendly and polite people everywhere we went keen for us to enjoy Borneo.
Stunning place, very interesting and so much to do from trekking to zip wires and canopy walks, hunting animals day & night, local markets, snorkelling & beaches & pools in fantastic hotels.

I have just returned from a fabulous family holiday to Canada organised by Sally. I set the budget and we chatted about what we wanted to achieve. Sally made suggestions of trips and activities I wouldn't have thought of, away from the usual tourist areas.
Sally booked all the flights, car hire, hotels and some trips. She then gave me so much information of other things to do while travelling and places to stop and admire the views.
All the time I was in control and could change the itinerary during the planning process. As an independent traveller, that was important to me.
Sally has travelled to many places on my bucket list and I will definitely use her again on our next adventure.

We have just returned from a wonderful week in Iceland, organised by Wandering Tribe. It was perfect and exactly what we wanted and hoped for for us as parents and our two young children, aged 2 and 4.

The accommodation picked for us was spot on and right up our street - comfortable, well equipped and with breathtaking views to match.

The drives between places were just right for our young children and the stop offs and suggested activities were excellent - we particularly loved the secret lagoon, Borgarnes and the beach walk with seal bathing on the rocks. The local geothermal swimming pools were a big hit with us all.

Our two year old has not stopped saying "whale tail" since our whale watching trip and our four year old has been drawing pictures of the ponies, boat trips and volcanos. The holiday will have a lasting memory for all four of us.

It was our first real holiday as a family and it couldn't have been better!

We look forward to going on another adventure through Wandering Tribe again.

We have just come back from an excellent holiday in the Azores. Very well organised by Sally at Wandering Tribe. St Miguel is a great island with countless activities to do from walking in rainforests, swimming in thermally heated water, or watching whales. Sally’s advice and itinerary proposals were extremely useful as a framework to work round. The hotels she found us were excellent and all the arrangements flawless.
I would highly recommend Wandering tribe. Sally gives a very personal, competitive and professional service, answering all queries and requests quickly, and finding the answers however trivial or obscure. It is lovely dealing with someone who knows and understands the area personally
